Love the review Ben. Peters honey 🍯 is definitely my kind of fig. The sweeter the better. 😋

It is sooo super sweet, you can see my face pucker from the amount of sugar in this fig.

Good afternoon Ben. Thank you very much for your videos. very useful information. I want to ask you to send me all your cuttings of varieties of figs. I also have a little son growing like yours and I want him to eat figs too. Thank you very much and good luck.

Over in Britain I've just spotted my first breba of the year is just starting to ripen and will be ready at the weekend.

If Spartan is not your kind, have you thought about grafting? use the spartan tree as root stock and graft on a variety you like to it, by that way you can enjoy your apples too.

Paul from Back to Eden only eats his apples once they've fallen, so your apples should be fine.

Is it true that Peter's Honey is more of a dwarf growing tree suitable for pots?

My Peter's honey is super slow growing, so there maybe some validity to that. But with figs they do great in pots and prune as needed.

Actually I've heard and experienced the opposite. Catalogs may describe Peter's Honey as a small tree and conclude that it's therefore suitable for pots, but I and other fig enthusiasts have grown it in ground and noted that it seems to do better as an in-ground; moreover, it won't stay small if you in-ground PH.

Stark bros nursery sells them online too but they give you a tiny plant, but it was healthy anyway in my experience.
