hey everyone, just a quick note-i tried something different with this video, experimenting with more clips and a mix of locations. i know some parts might feel a bit choppy, and the wind snuck in during a few moments (typical uk weather, right?). still, i hope the message comes through loud and clear. let me know what you think, and thanks for sticking with me while i keep learning and improving!
Subscribed, I am sitting in my room waiting for snow to melt. I am 79 and live with my daughter in Colorado Springs. I walk in my neighborhood ,when the weather is nice. Colorado has beautiful parks , but , I don't feel comfortable driving to them in a lot of traffic. What I miss the most is living in a rural area like when I was a child We were poor, but rich in enjoying nature. I grew up roaming the woods and fishing off the river and creek banks in Alabama.
I agree with your views on ultra-processed foods. Regarding the rubbish, along the walking trail, if you go there, often, suggest taking a small garbage bag, with you, and pick up a small amount, of rubbish, each visit. After a few visits, the area is clean, you don’t have to see it, again, and your child learns. At a state park, that’s what I do, anyway. Good video. Interesting cooking…. Thanks. 🙂
I'm nearly 60, work 45 hours a week as a Montessori teacher, and I cherish my weekends or any time off. In 2018, my son bought a mandolin for me and learning to play it has made such a difference in my life. All these years later, I'm still not a good player but I am still learning new things and I can play well enough to enjoy myself. I also enjoy learning on youtube and like trying new art or craft techniques. I, too, am a master of none, but it feels healthy to me! Things are a bit gloomy here in the states but when I'm home on the weekends, I can find some peace of mind in creativity. I also enjoy that feeling of providing myself groceries and cooking healthy food. Right now it's dark before and after work, but as soon as the days lengthen, I hope to go on walks again. Thank you for your videos. They're very enjoyable!
Nice one! Love the nature, shame about the selfish/thoughtless folk who left/leave litter. They took it there, could easily have taken it away again. Nature is my chief recharger too. Saw a fox the other day ❤
I love watching videos like yours, the outdoors, cooking & more positive videos to better health that are good for the mind. I have a disability & struggle to get outside often so these type of videos are my escape. I love seeing outdoor cooking too. It’s so relaxing to watch. Keep up the great videos 😻
i feel what you are talking about., i love the weekend, there are loads of places you can go in your area you are from, no need to go to the great parks!
I am 100% with you Vladimir people are frustrating and downright disrespectful in littering nature. My husband and I always take a glove each and a bag to collect rubbish when we go for a walk- should not need to do it right! Anyway loved this style of vlogging today and I hope you had fun with your precious little boy. Will try the recipe too- thank you for your time today...Sweet Blessings Mand X
@@VladWorks In a weird way it can feel quite rewarding but for us we cannot bear the thought of a poor creature getting stuck or worse getting hurt by someone's disgusting rubbish & waste. Do give it a go but please be careful. X
My partner and I have always worked hard, we’re both self employed and it can be hard to switch off and take time out. But we never work on Sundays - we always go for a walk in the countryside. . It resets, refreshes, it’s good for the soul and we start work on Monday with a better frame of mind.
New subscriber, I've watched a few of your videos this weekend. What a lovely channel. Given me the itch to get my walking boots out. I love cooking from scratch but also getting out in the garden is a great way to recharge. An hour in the garden tidying up after Fridays bad weather felt great.
Im pleased to find your channel. You're so right about the phone. Our family come to visit use, and phones are on the table! We dont feel like we are important. I am off for a walk now .
Hello there from a new subscriber. I share your outlook in many things, and I welcome the subdued positivity (for lack of a better term). It would do good for us to rekindle our appreciation of basic pleasures - cooking and eating without a sense of urgency, a walk outdoors, admiring nature and appreciating every season. I'm a bit older than you with three children, the youngest being 14, and I'm hoping this way of thinking has rubbed onto them, too. We can't always change our circumstances, but we can change how we approach and view them. Granted, it is a struggle trying to make ends meet in many Western families in these times, and people are obviously angry and frustrated, but hate gets us nowhere good (the political climate is looking grim at the moment), so the positivity and focus on the small pleasures is welcome. Greetings from the snowy hills of the Finnish countryside!
Thank you for sharing about your reset. I'm on a permanent reset since my recent retirement..which was what I wanted.. At first...and still happens to a degree...I felt like my mind speeded up instead of slowing down like I wanted. My body slowed down but my mind didn't. And I was beset with thoughts resisting the reset, that made me feel restless and guilty about taking life more slowly and peacefully....like I should still be 'doing, doing, doing...and i felt upset. So I happily turned to my art and painting which I love ...and to cooking, even though I'm single - even to walking alone without a dog. Something simple...like contentment seems to be happening...
Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your weekend routine and tips to recharge for the next week. My go to's for recharging are: 1) rest; 2) spending more time with my family; 3) crocheting; 4) church on Sunday followed by lunch out (nothing fancy); and sitting in our backyard when the weather is nice. Hopefully, we'll be able to sit outdoors again soon. There's still snow on the ground where we live and our neighbor's three pitbulls dictate when we are safe to go outdoors. We do have several nice parks in our city, though, so we can always walk there.
4:08 what a beautiful Russian word I learned today 😂 Enjoyed the extra effort you took in making this, but please save it for playtime. Message is golden, thanks for sharing 🎉
until before Covid I cooked every day, I read, I listened to classical music, now I'm a ghost who spends the days on my cell phone and no longer sleeps well. Wherever the world is going, I'm fed up, it's time to reconnect with yourself
Hi 👋 I agree with you! Nature is wonderful! It’s disgusting what rubbish people leave around the countryside it drives me mad too, during the lockdown all the masks were thrown about /floating in the lakes and even hanging in the beautiful trees in Wales! Your son is very cute and he’s having the best education from you! Cooking is great for living in the moment too! Everything will change very soon! Stay strong! The best is yet to come! 🙌❤️💜❤️🎺🎺🎺🕊️🕊️🕊️🙏🌎⭐️🌟💫☀️☀️🌟🌟🌟🌟☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Every time I go back to the UK, the filfth and household dumping is more out of control. UK people have become dystopian and dysfunctional. What a horrible place it has become.
@@annaclarke7643 that's a huge statement. Not all of it is horrible. There is a lot of beauty in this country and you don't have yo travel far to find it...but I agree re dumping the rubbish...no self respect for themselves, others and our country.
And it piles up so quick, just a dozen people probably made all that, hard to imagine what’s floating in the ocean 😔 thank you so much for your kind comment!
Any other channels for cooking that you recommend? I spend my weekends painting models and reading fantasy literature. When I am with my family it is music and crafting or a good board game.
You forgot to link the recipe video! And I have a feeling you might like the channel Chinese Cooking Demystified, if you don’t know it already (though sometimes with more than the ideal level of waffle :p)
It's normally the type of place you meet a hill billy mad axe man, and that's probably his rubbish, i hear they are partial to wotsits puffs, Also vodka, and a glass of blood.😳🤐😂✌❤👍You can tell it's mad axe men territory because there are no trees.
