the perfect car for france is a renault megane diesel with piezo injection,,around 4,5 liter diesel on 100 km,,,or a renault derivat :Daccia Logan or Dokker,,,,,,far better then small fords,cheaper better driving cheap repairs,more reliable,,,greetings from the germans

With that much water consumption, you are probably right. The easy way to check is to fit a surgical glove around the radiator with the cap removed. If it stands up and says, "Hi", then you know a head gasket is gone.

Sean I notice you have got your tent ladders in car , if you go to tent box on TH-cam SETUP you keep your ladders on your tent and thats how you open the tent with ladders, please let me know if this can help please?

Hello mate ..years and years ago I had a Ford Sierra that was losing loads of water and no puddles underneath. Whacked in a bottle of Radweld and was like a miracle. No more water lost and no idea what the problem was. Anyways good luck on your journey really enjoy your cheeriness and entertaining vlogs

Sean,I admire your epic plans but you need a power source like jackery or Bluetti . They are throwing them at TH-camrs camping,they need to send you one abroad. And a mobile Wi-Fi company need to sponsor you too.
Sean I own a garage, this is going to get interesting. I agree, thatll need an head gasket and youre pushing limits already with an 02 plate ! Got to say Im sitting here crying my eyes out thinking of the fun this is going to be in the future, yes Rouen like many French cities needs a congestion charge paid. Its all about Joan of Arc there ! Le Mans is a beautiful town, even beyond the 24hr racing.
Buy a new water bottle and cap Original part from Ford dealership. I also have one of these fords Constant plumbing problems. The new bottle is holding up so far. Try and air your bottle every now and again when you stop to camp so you can release the pressure. Use coolant not water....

You need some decent grade coolant,anti freeze,it’s fairly expensive but saves a lot hassle,if you put plain water in your radiator it will burn up mega quick
do you not use a sat nav, i use google maps on my phone can plan routes using toll roads or not etc,
I really don't hold out much hope for that Fiesta lasting much longer I'm afraid. Also, has anyone started a book yet on how many parking tickets/fines Sean is going to get on his travels?.... He can't just keep parking wherever he feels like for long, before he gets caught out I'm afraid. I also think he should have invested in a Sat Nav too as he's going to get caught with many toll roads and congestion charges if he just wings it. Loving the vlogs but have a bad feeling about the road ahead.

Maybe try and get some K-Seal or two and put it in as it sounds like a headgasket to me and you will need to sort that. K-Seal is worth a try first as that might help. Must be a french version. Good luck, mate. Thanks for the vlogs.

Stop leak for the radiator. The good stuff maybe it'll seal up the head gasket enough to be able to drive it
Make sure the water pump is circulating water before you do anything

Hi Sean been following your trip. I’ve lived in south east Asia last 10 years. I am coming back to uk august I’m thinking of getting a Citroen berlingo and one of those roof tents you have and taking a slow run to friends place in Faro Portugal. Years ago I drove and ride to Naples and Sicily. How much did you pay for the roof rent. I’ve noticed your last few videos since you have been on continent you have not spoken much about it. Any roadworthy car can go long distance WITHOUT pouring coolant into it.It's going somewhere but not into cooling the engine if it's overheating.
I think it's in Reims they have a colosseum,it was an important place to the Romans.

Rouen, twinned with ........... Norwich! Not too sure what these "twin cities" do , but it seemed to be a bit of a thing years back.
You bought a lemon there mate with the car, if your head gasket is gone there's a good chance your cylinder head is warped it'll need taking out and plained on a mill to correct that'll cost you( if your oil is milky white your head gasket is blown) then again the Thermostat could be buggered and your need yoo replace it

You were right, the old town of Rouen is medieval - a period that spans 1000 years from circa 400-1400. Georgian you're talking 18th into 19th century and Victorian 19th century.
Not that France had a Georgian or Victorian period for obvious reasons,🙄
Water pump is leaking during engines operation or the head gasket has shat itself and will show oil sludge on the radiator cap. Penny to a pound it shits itself at the worst possible moment.
He had cambelt and water pump replaced last week 🫣😳🙄
