Really very educating.i am also a teacher in UP in India . Methods of punishment for the students today have been changed. Today the guardians don't like their children to be punished by the teacher even for the mistakes of the students. But I think that it is not good for the students.
Hamare India me private school me bhi itni facilities nahi hai. Government school to sirf dikhane ke liye hai. American school ki ek bhi facilities india ke government school me nahi hai.

I like their way of thinking they gives freedom to narish their creativity and here in India it's get suppressed... The government schools provides great treat all Students but here in some schools it seems they're caught like a animal no care to anyone ... Btw still I think study is upto u not ur external things if u understand the world you'll study otheriwse you'll not ... So I think India is on way of achieving that level of standard in next few years .. Wish u best dear ....
