- We discovered a panel of drywall bulging almost half an inch from the wall. What did we discover behind it?
We made the mistake of not stapling the low volt cable to the stud but did they really have to sink over 10 screws into the cable before realizing the drywall wasn't going to go flat?

Same type of guys that drive 10 screws in a piece of sheet rock are the same type of guys to not fasten a wire out of harms way.

You are exactly right. I run low voltage wires and I would’ve took the blame for this honestly. Staple your shit down if you want it to work when you do your install. Applies to all trades. 😂

This is a 3/8 PEX line, it's a water line and it shouldn't be on an exterior wall
The low voltage should of been secured to the side of the stud, then less of a chance the drywallers screw stuff up. Drywallers typically don't give an F about wires..

Why are the cables not fastened to the stud. The drywall guys do drywall. Not low voltage seems like a diff professional messed up.
Well id argue that a "professional" drywall installer would make sure they didn't have a wire in the way. It's real easy to pay attention to what you're doing.

Drywall guys don’t care. That would be like expecting them to fix crooked framing and the such. There just drywall guys. I’m dealing with with all trades. Sparkys are the laziest, Plumbers the dirtiest, and drywall guys don’t care. Yes drywall will have ya scratching your head but ya have to laugh it off.

Im an electrician and wires always need to be secured to prevent this. As much as you’d like other trades to watch out for your poor workmanship, this was your fault 100%.
Your romex isn’t stapled either and everything is running in the middle of the bay. I doubt this is a “opsie daisy, I forgot to staple just here.” Home owner special wire program with discount sheet rockers. I bet the whole house is a nightmare.
It's not a cable it's a 3/8 PEX line a water line and it's not supposed to be strapped in a vertical insulation like this it's also not supposed to be on an exterior wall

Well I think a lot of people played a part in this the person who put the wire in without wire tyers as well as the sheetrocker
I've been hanging drywall for over 10 years, and it's not uncommon to see a lot of screws in places where the drywall bulges. Sometimes it can be the framing or it can be other things. But this is pretty unacceptable honestly. This makes me think the guys are moving way too fast and not being more careful.
It's not the drywallers' job to staple your wires.

Replace the cable and charge the builder trust me that will get their attention especially when they find out what it was used for they will beg you not to notify their insurance.
