If you think about it, Baby and Zamasu are both very similar. Both want revenge for what Saiyans did to them, they themselves becoming evil in their quest for “retribution” and “revenge”. Despite their hatred for the Saiyans, both steal a Saiyan’s body, both granting new forms to the original Saiyan. As they get more powerful, they slowly look more like their original selves despite being partly Saiyan (Baby Vegeta looks more like Baby as time goes on, and Goku Black eventually fuses with Zamasu, the resulting fusion looking more like Zamasu than Goku). Both were also initially fought by less relevant characters, like Goku Black first fighting Trunks and Baby first fighting Goten and others on Earth not part of the main GT Crew. Heck, both corrupt and take over stuff, Baby taking over all earthlings and Goku Black taking over the universe. And this is less obvious, but both technically destroy/lead to the destruction of the Earth.
