On Jul 28, 2017, Prem Rawat met with teachers, government officials, war victims and ex-combatants in Medellín, Colombia. The Peace Education Program is helping people in the country heal after five decades of civil war, and is being implemented in 500 schools. John Lennon said this. He is right and wrong, i believe. Right is, that if we all 8 billion dream about peace, we go in the right direction, i think. Wrong is, that only dreaming about peace is enough. We must feel peace in our heart first, think peace and act peace.
Lao tzu said something like: if you want to make peace on earth, you first have to make peace in your country. If you want to make peace in your country, you first have to make peace in your village. If you want to make peace in your village, you first must make peace in your family. To be able to make peace in your family, you first must feel the peace in your own heart.
I think this exactly is the forte of the Peace Education Program ( PEP) in Colombia, and in 6 continents and in almost every big country around the globe and in so many jails, hospitals, military and police education institutes, (educating soldiers and police officers and jail police officers, that peace & kindness is often a better solution, than war and killing, healing traumatised war victims and traumatized ex soldiers with posttraumatic stress disorder), schools and Universities:
Only by changing the hearts & minds of people, we can change and improve the world. Because : "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all". I think you know who said this, otherwise you can google it, it was a very wise Greec man, thousands of years ago ...
