@@grownupgoth wellbond-18 glue and a simple spray gun.
This feels a bit more "how its made" than DIY, but I enjoyed it nonetheless!

Cool project, assembling the plywood base is probably something everyone can do if you get it CNCd, but getting that foam shaped and positioned right probably takes a lot of skill!
We want to publish pattern files for foam and patterns for upholstery fabric. Everything becomes possible with them.

Yes, it can be a box cutter and foam glue in spray cans.

At the moment there are drawings of the plywood frame. We will publish the templates for the foam in the next few days. And soon the patterns for the fabric.

Great work! I would like to make one myself, so i would be great if you release the templates. Since you asked at the other comments: I do have access to an cnc machine. It would be only my second upholstery project, but i learn quick and i think i could get into it.

We used 15 mm plywood and the drawings were made for this thickness of plywood too! What kind of plywood do you have on sale? Perhaps in an inch system?

@@comodesignru thanks for your answer. I’m looking forward to start the project. I live in Germany so mm is perfect for me. I do have some 18mm multiplex at home, but at my local hardware store there is also 15mm, so 15mm works perfect for me, and it’s cheaper as well, so maybe I would get 15mm anyways. I think its a pretty standard size, so I assume it’s easy to get at most places (with metric system at least).

Yes, you can! The maximum size of the parts does not exceed 1000 mm.

Amazing gentlemen. Screw the template. I'd never be able to make this myself, at least not without all the tools & proper foams/paddings/polyfills. Ever consider selling your work? Are they? I'd be interested in that chair but not in that fabric, the leather suggestion asked by @kybeastmode is what I would like.

These threads retract the fabric where the back and seat join. The upholstery is unified.

0:42 what are these litlle things called and what do they do?
Did they use different kinds of foam, or is it just the same with other colours?
It's a metal wood nut. If you insert it into the wood, you can then screw a bolt into it. We inserted these nuts to screw on the chair support later.
Different colors of foam have different densities and stiffness.
Is there a way to get the template of the coating of the chair? or is it included in the foam template?
We'll add foam to the templates one of these days.

подскажите, нет 5 см поролона марки HR у меня в городе, есть вариант в 3 см, нормально думаете использовать пирог из 3 см HR 5535 и 2 см EL3245 склеенных между собой, а так-же 5 см EL 3245 в начале и на спинке сзади. И сколько уходит ткани на 1 кресло шириной рулона в 140 см 4 или 5 метров?
Да, нормально. Ткани примерно 3 метра на одно кресло.
Сергей, вообще если нет пилы для ППУ, как у нас в видео, лучше брать только EL разной жесткости. Потому что там где нужны скосы на ППУ, их можно будет сделать обычным канцелярским ножом. ППУ HR ножом резать очень сложно.
@@comodesignru я в курсе) я делал тантра кресла, так и работал. Правда не концелярским а обычным длинным кухонным с острым концом, главное постоянно затачивать
класс, только донышко бы (фанеру) закрыть, благо под основанием можно спрятать стык. а так - молодцы!

Клеили из 25 мм. Сначала склеили две рамки, потом их между собой. Стыки рам разнесли, чтобы не треснули по шву.

what are the different colors of foam? do they differ in stiffness? If yes what color is the hardest and what the softest of the three (white, pink, blue)? and how thick are each of these 3 colors? Sry for the many questions. I don’t want to take your time, so only answer, if it doesn’t bother you
Blue is the toughest,
Pink is softer and more resilient, and white is just as resilient but even softer.
And is 50mm the correct thickness of each of zhem
