I say I will not miss Paul Wrightson anymore... Hope Damian Wilson will stay with the band for many many years. Arena would have had quite a stronger reputation as a band (perhaps like Marillion), but frequent frontman changes hindered them... it is so difficult to build a solid career as a band if the voice changes so frequent. See Tull or Camel: both bands often moved their lineups, but only in the instrument sections. Singers are the same as 40+ years ago.

I don't like to listen to it since Paul Manzi is not the singer. Even though the music is good, the style is very different. I don't like it anymore.

I seem to be in a minority, but |I think Wilson is by some margin the worst singer Arena have ever had. They should have got Alan Reed from Pallas.
I agree with your 1st line. He is a good singer but I heard him in too many bands and projects. I just don't like his style.
