Goddamn this is good. Sam is the right punk vocalist for this project. He has such a stylistic range. All three vocalists compliment each other here so well. The flow is tight. And I love the episode format of the videos, which are well shot. I'm a stone cold punk rock veteran, but try to keep an open mind when it comes to new music. Hip hop, rap, and punk share a lot more than their respective fans realize. Their origins are similar. The heart of the music is similar. At their best, they all attack social constraints and constructs in a powerful manner. I'm hype for this collaboration. The full album will definitely be in regular rotation for a long time.

This 5-part series is a masterpiece and everyone deserves to see it. Sadly i can relate the self-harm in the first episode as I suffer psychosis and harmed myself badly and hung myself (rescued in the nick of time by a fluke and thanks to a friend noticing a weird message i sent them and they sent the police). I was sectioned, and am in recovery, but THIS IS CRIMEWAVE has been a wonderful album to enjoy as I recover. I even saw Codefendants live at LEEDS in 2023 supporting NOFX, just a bit sad Fat Mike wasn't on BASS! I did get to shout to Mike as he got on his tour bus that his Cokie the Clown album saved my life, as i was listening to it a lot in the lead up to my hanging and it stopped me so many times, knowing he felt so bad too helped me. Who knows, any other time, I could have died. I hope he heard me. I also shouted to him "THANK YOU".

I don't get the release strategy of episodic drops WITHOUT links to the singles on spotify & co. to leverage the video's traction to gain subs and likes on music streaming platforms...
