Yes I’m looking for a 2 stroke to put in it, either another inline 6-71 but they are hard to find with jakes I’ll have to measure up and see if an 8v would fit under there
What a cool old beast !!, wow, bit of work to do but will be a classic !!!, cant wait to see you get busy on the twin sticks :) The HCVC forums have plenty of knowledge and great people there
Yep a big project for sure but the great thing about it almost everything is there and I’ve found out a lot of history on the truck and have some great old school pics of it from back in the day when it was brought out here! I think that’s my favourite part of the truck being twin stick so I’m super keen to make a start on this one! I have been on there abit and done a lot of reading, lots of old school blokes so I’ll have to get back on there and have a look
What a find! This would awesome to get drivable and back on the road but leave the patina and character in place. 80573, its a Canadian truck converted to LHD, Waaay to go. 🚛👍
The tag plate on mine is mounted on the dog house extension right in the middle of the cab just above the floor where it bumps out for engine clearance.
I've never seen guards like that on a KW only the log trucks but their different. That grill's the same as what they put on the S2 923. Surprised to see highway diffs some had SRDDs I think.
The steel guards are custom made by the previous owner I still have the original fibreglass ones though, I think the grill is the same width but a different shape at the top and not as tall, also the rear diffs have been changed from the originals sadly
@@dieseldownunder. Thanks you've got some classic trucks there those S2s are rare as. I'm looking for a project in the future maybe an R600 or something. I'm not into real long bonneted trucks much.
Cool truck. My channel is more about old cars, however, I like trucks, bulldozers etc too and have a couple of Ransomes Crawlers. I have just subscribed to you 👍.
Gday Mate how you going really enjoy your videos keep up the good work if it old and a Kenworth your on a winner. I have a 64 model Seatle I am restoring 103296 it was the 23 Kenworth imported into Australia.I looked up my info I have and it says 80000 numbered trucks are Canada built.Looking forward to more videos on all of you trucks Cheers.
Hey mate thanks for watching! I was told that by another bloke aswell so Definitely Canadian built. That’s awesome I checked out your TH-cam and your sar which looks great aswell! How far along are you with your Seattle?
@@dieseldownunder. Gday mate my youtube videos aren't very good but I'm working on getting some better cameras and doing some more practice. The seatle is coming along slowly motor is a 8V92TTA fully rebuilt and a rebuilt 15 over round the corner box and I have 46s on Neway for the back end.I just bought a second hand 909 chassis for it as my rails are toast. She is going to work every day the same as my Sar Just keep chipping away a part from here a part from there nothing's cheap. Cheers looking forward to more videos on your trucks.
Oh yeah mate the rear window was a factory Kenworth thing i can't remember what it was for and the badges and steering wheel are worth a dollar with the different font
No worries at all mate your welcome to do that, I’m in Geelong so not too far Send me an email and I’ll give you my phone number jkpplanthire@gmail.com

Ooh nice ! Twin sticks and a Detroit 2smoke ! Hard to beat in a classic like that. Well happy for you matey.
Cheers, Ard
Thanks mate should be a good project! The hunt is on for parts now!
@@dieseldownunder. Keeping a 2smoke in it please ? I think a 8v92 might be suitable with it being a v8 and such 😁🤩🙂

Awesome find, lot of work to do, hopefully we will see it at a truck show one day?. Keep up the good work.
Yep lots of labour and parts hunting/fabrication on this one, it will be at a show probably a few on a drop deck before I really start working on it!
HA Good score mate! I saw that and had it saved on marketplace. Great looking early truck. Look forward to watching the progress!
Thanks mate I jumped on it straight away I knew I had to save it! I’m keen to get stuck into it aswell

That’s fair an old r600 would be perfect! I’m a fan of long bonnets I won’t lie👌🏻
