@@Jared-Brubaker You can turn corn into pork, beef or whiskey…… or just eat the corn and make human!😂😂😂

Good video and job. They did use the wind or a hand powered fan. My grandfather ground corn, wheat, oats, rye and animal feed in a old hammer mill that ran off old belt pulley tractor. We used it for animal feed till we got a mix grinder.we had a corn sheller like your it was in barn when it burn up. They still make grinders take care, be safe and well

Thanks John! Sounds like you’re a true old time country/farm boy. I would love to have an old hammer mill someday. Thanks for always leaving nice comments!

Just watched this grinding video and had an idea that may work for you. If you got a piece of pvc pipe and what ever angle fittings needed to make a chute to dump into a 5 gallon bucket to make it easier. Then you could just start it and do something else nearby while it's working. I am guessing maybe 3 inch diameter, possibly 4. It could be attached with velcro strips hot glued to the pipe, then looped to the grinder somehow. Good luck in all your ventures.

Thanks for watching Mark. Yeah I definitely need to make some kind of chute, thanks for the ideas.

the husk is ok to eat with cornmeal but it is an old tradition to sift out the husk for smother cornmeal

The round-end remover was to remove odd-sized corn so you could just shell the centers which were all the same size for replanting in a plate planter .

Getting the right box is harder than getting the Sheller.

You know it's funny I have a super old homelite chainsaw with a David Bradley bar on it.
It amazes me that old things, 50 plus years old still work fine. I know friends that can't keep a new lawnmower working more then 2 or 3 seasons.
      I love old equipment, it's real.☺

I honestly don’t know, a Guatemalan friend of mine gave some seed from Guatemala 4-5 years ago and I just replant every year. I didn’t know it was that hard to find, I don’t have extra from this year’s crop but I might look into doing some giveaways next year for seed. Thanks for watching!
