My mom used to make that cake all the time when I was younger and me and my sisters were too silly to appreciate it. 😢 That cake looked so moist the way that knife glided right on through it❤❤

Ms. Ashley, Something went wrong while making your cake. It didn’t rise like a cake from scratch. It looks like a box cake. I think your butter and cream cheese were not at room temperature. Something happened at the creaming of the butter and sugar process. You probably cream it too long. Which caused your cake not to rise. Also, when baking a homemade cake, you should use the paddle attachment to prevent over mixing your cake. This has happened to me as well. I’m coming from a place of love.
