This is your best and MOST important interview my man ! I'm a veteran Trader and I remember SMB Capital being featured in the Tv series they did way back in the early 2000's called: Wall Street Warriors ! I LOVED that show and was HOOKED because I was already trading from home. The show followed Traders , fund managers and various financial people on Wall Street to see if they could really make it as a successful Trader. The show lasted for 2 seasons and just ended. They showed the promo for the 3rd season and it looked FANTASTIC but I don't think it ever aired. I thought really hard about applying to be an SMB Capital Trader but since I had a few dollars in my pocket I decided to go on my own. BIG MISTAKE! 🤣 I got KILLED like 5 TIMES!!!! So after YEARS of getting totally SMOKED, I finally learned my way around the markets thanks to the school of hard knocks which I do NOT recommend to ANYBODY ! Get yourself a MENTOR! PAY THEM if you must because it will save you YEARS of losing trades and thousands of dollars.
The biggest problem i see most people have is : they trade emotionally , they love to gamble and dont have a winning setup If you solve those 3 trading is not difficult I learned everything on youtube for free you font need to pay tim sykees or other gurus thousands of dollars

Nothing wrong with paying for mentorship as long it’s not a scam obviously. When you’re new you don’t know the things you’re watching on TH-cam is real or not. Fake traders giving fake advice. TH-cam is good if you need to fix your sink.. trading is very difficult. You need a board like they discussed in this video.
@@boxoun i guess your right , the most people are not able to do everything themself , or are too lazy, but it is possible And everthing is there for free on youtube or internet just search for book you want and there is a fre pdf version of it You can even watch Harvard or MIT lectures on youtube for free which is more quality content than any course will give you
@@nizarama587 Were all different i guess , for me that was the easiest part , since i can filter information pretty easily In order to filter information well ask yourself always :how credible is the person giving you information has , what is his agenda , is he trying to sell you something ... If you listen to 100 successfull traders they all have different story which means there is no perfect structure or way to do it so you will have to find it yourself one that suits you
Hearing this from someone who's been in the industry for this long gives me a little more confidence that even the best in the business get whipped sometimes. I had an amazing '19-'21, only to see a massive drawdown in just the first month of '22. I had to change my strategy, and it was hard. This makes me feel a little better that there's not some magic formula to win in every condition.
Do you mind sharing what changes you had to make to your strategy? I assume your strategy didn't work for this bearish market? I just started trading this year, so this market is all i've known. It's been an interesting journey, to say the least.
I wonder what's the best opportunities to invest now are, there are opinions but a little later I find out these opinions don't matter as a totally different turn of events play out with the stocks they discussed therein.
I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. Buy Companies stock which you think has huge potential to grow. For me, I hired a stock expert and she provides entry and exit points on the security I focus on while I go about my other businesses. Investing has no one way to do it, eyes on the prize!!! Mistakes are expensive

My consultant is Christine Lynn Saitta I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her afterwards. a friend i referred to her made $26k weekly with her signal . You can look her up online with her name if you care supervision. I basically follow her trade pattern and haven’t regretted doing so
I would trade options. Much less stressful and only a few minutes a day (some actually day trade using options but most just spend a few minutes). The SMB option training course is good, not so much for its content (you can learn it elsewhere), but because you can attend a seminar where you can ask their head options trader questions for the rest of your life. I did it, and it was well worth it.
This is by far the best interview I have ever seen! I’ve never watched your channel before but man if only more interviews could be of this quality and passion. Good questions, no noticeable pre-formatted direction and yet smoothly guided. And most enjoyable, actually hearing the answer and building up the next question with the internal empathy to ask what you think “other traders out there” would want to know. Man you may be a trader but if they do a new Obama documentary I vote for Alex (had to look you up) for that job. I will definitely follow and check your content as a trading enthousiast but the above mentioned had to be said. Well done Alex!

This is what strong leadership looks like! Love the holistic approach to performance, something many leadership teams overlook or put on the onus of the individual, this approach is shortsighted for the organization and the individual. Research shows that a lack of sleep substantially impairs all mental functions required to execute strategic decision-making activities, if you want to succeed in anything you must approach it holistically, quality sleep (and if you MUST sleep less, make it QUALITY sleep), quality diet, routine exercise (other then walking) is key and this will help you sleep better and cope with stress better.

This man, I would be honored to work under him. His approach is so humbling. If they are anything like he talks about in this episode, it’s gotta be a solid work environment.
I think trading is a very difficult art to master: u need to know a)when to enter b) when to exit c) when to cut losses d) how much to put on a trade e) when to take profit and how much profit to take and f) u need to keep a positive attitude when u lose and g) u need to bet bigger when u have a "good hand".
Regarding the sizing and risk part: If you are a picky trader who's taking only 3-4 trades per day (maybe only A or B trades) you'd never stop out if you are only sizing 15%-20% daily risk each trade, but you are also leaving money on the table. How should you increase your trade sizing relative to your daily stop? Should you just bump up your sizing so you are only stopping out maybe once or twice per month or is there some other guideline to consider for scaling up your sizing?
Great interview. People wonder why trading has such a long learning curve. Mike B's stories about 7-fig traders experiencing trading doldrums in spite of having tons of resources and support systems available to them should be a cautionary tale to all

I would be very careful about silly feel good statements like that, as listening to your inner voice and and "follow your heart" which is really your inner voice can lead to a path of destruction. It goes both ways. Following your heart does NOT guarantee you will land in bliss and fortune.
Careful with this one... Go read the Amazon book reviews on "One Good Trade"... You'll find a review from one of the traders who was unfortunate enough have that opportunity he gives (at your cost of course). He makes some very interesting claims. That said, great interview! Love hearing about the changing market and its effects on us as traders. Community. It makes you feel like you're a part of it. Very relatable, comforting and inspiring.

I love this interview. I'm 52 and been at it for a year and a half. I can trade really well.... EXCEPT I keep holding losers "waiting to be right".... I'd be a damn consistently profitable trader if I could stop that.... very concerning because I can't seem to stop..... like today losing $1600 instead of cutting a trade that obviously wasn't working.... This channel is getting better all the time BTW
Wow, this was so awesome. I needed to hear this! I have been paper trading since October and just took my first trade at the beginning of February… My set-ups have not been working like last earnings and was feeling pretty discouraged. But I will learn more and be better tomorrow.

This is so great you had this interview with mike. Been following him recently because His lesson turn me on to my 1 st understand of trading plan and the right set up and learning pattern that repeat over and over and I currently use to turn my trading strategy around. Great job here Alex. 👏👏👏 A huge take away was hearing him say bringing personal strengths into trading. My Trading improved when I realized how important that was. Also matching personality with the market is huge as he talked about his evolution in strategy and adapting. We must choose the right market so we can spark it get a time frame for our mind-frame.
SMB is one of the originators. They actually drop real useful content that all of these other gurus are calling "curriculum" and charging people for. No cheesy intros, no lambos, no nothing. Just plain boring useful educational videos.

38:00 - when the person becomes the trader. the art of the measurement builds the person into their own trader. this 'board' of resources, this capability to qualitatively & repeatedly curate the entry thesis into the A+ trade result. the person will never be able to build the asymmetric bet until the trader is built.
I see the rising interest rate as a very big problem, as more investors will definitely pull out more money from the Stock market. This might have worked when I was still invest-ing with a couple thousand dollars, but it is more difficult now to decide whether to pull out more than $365k from my port-folio. I know some inves-tors still make that despite the strong bear market. In wish I could pull that feat
I think the whole thing about holding stocks for long term will always apply. So I think you should get a quality broker who is able to analyze and pick stocks that will do well in the long term, else you will be in a long bear ride.
You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a broker, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.

Wondering if you could do a review on their DNA training program. I've seen alot of bad reviews claiming it wasn't very in depth and they were unable to have their questions answered when needed.
I’m currently doing my due diligence and researching this realm of trading. In doing so I’ve come across a lot of content. It can be overwhelming. What’s interesting is how much risk management is discussed, but I have yet to come across stress management. Which is the first thing that came to mind when the two traders having sleep Challenges came up. It’s no secret that some professions come with an extraordinary amount of stress. Air traffic controllers, military careers, some medical professions, etc. Despite my lack of knowledge and experience in trading, I’d be willing to bet that trading would also fall under that umbrella. And for many their stress management is either ignored, which can’t be done long term, or they medicate. And we all know where that leads as well. Anyway, just sharing the thoughts that came to me as I heard this. Managing stress should be as big a part of life just like all the other aspects. Stress alone can bring down the house if not properly and effectively considered.
Question, I know this may be different from you guys trading. I assume y’all are day trading. Going off a swing trades perspective with limited day trades a week. How am I suppose to determine a stop loss that may be suitable for swing trading. The market could drop dramatically and shoot up right after. After it hits my stop loss and I’m out of the trade but it shoots up after I’m out, how am I suppose to determine a stop loss for swing trading?
Hi A lot of people still have this great fear on investing their money when it comes to trading, without any doubt i will strongly advise stock/forex trading which is really going well now because the market is still bullish. While so many inexperience traders still continue to trade with so much fear, others are being patient and thinking of a possible way out. It still say it all depends on the pattern with which you trade and also the source of your signals, I would say trading has been going smoothly for me after accumulating over $48000, in just three weeks, with the trading strategy introduced to me by Mr Steven (Kurt), His methods are top notch and profitable.

I would be very careful about silly feel good statements like that, as listening to your inner voice and and "follow your heart" which is really your inner voice can lead to a path of destruction. It goes both ways. Following your heart does NOT guarantee you will land in bliss and fortune.

I love this interview. I'm 52 and been at it for a year and a half. I can trade really well.... EXCEPT I keep holding losers "waiting to be right".... I'd be a damn consistently profitable trader if I could stop that.... very concerning because I can't seem to stop..... like today losing $1600 instead of cutting a trade that obviously wasn't working.... This channel is getting better all the time BTW

Great job here Alex. 👏👏👏 A huge take away was hearing him say bringing personal strengths into trading. My Trading improved when I realized how important that was. Also matching personality with the market is huge as he talked about his evolution in strategy and adapting. We must choose the right market so we can spark it get a time frame for our mind-frame.

38:00 - when the person becomes the trader. the art of the measurement builds the person into their own trader. this 'board' of resources, this capability to qualitatively & repeatedly curate the entry thesis into the A+ trade result. the person will never be able to build the asymmetric bet until the trader is built.
I see the rising interest rate as a very big problem, as more investors will definitely pull out more money from the Stock market. This might have worked when I was still invest-ing with a couple thousand dollars, but it is more difficult now to decide whether to pull out more than $365k from my port-folio. I know some inves-tors still make that despite the strong bear market. In wish I could pull that feat
I think the whole thing about holding stocks for long term will always apply. So I think you should get a quality broker who is able to analyze and pick stocks that will do well in the long term, else you will be in a long bear ride.
You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a broker, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.
This sound interesting. I’m not really one to use pro analysts, but I guess it would not hurt to try one. My portfolio is in the red waters right now

I’m currently doing my due diligence and researching this realm of trading. In doing so I’ve come across a lot of content. It can be overwhelming.
What’s interesting is how much risk management is discussed, but I have yet to come across stress management. Which is the first thing that came to mind when the two traders having sleep Challenges came up.
It’s no secret that some professions come with an extraordinary amount of stress.
Air traffic controllers, military careers, some medical professions, etc. Despite my lack of knowledge and experience in trading, I’d be willing to bet that trading would also fall under that umbrella. And for many their stress management is either ignored, which can’t be done long term, or they medicate. And we all know where that leads as well.
Anyway, just sharing the thoughts that came to me as I heard this.
Managing stress should be as big a part of life just like all the other aspects.
Stress alone can bring down the house if not properly and effectively considered.
Question, I know this may be different from you guys trading. I assume y’all are day trading. Going off a swing trades perspective with limited day trades a week. How am I suppose to determine a stop loss that may be suitable for swing trading. The market could drop dramatically and shoot up right after. After it hits my stop loss and I’m out of the trade but it shoots up after I’m out, how am I suppose to determine a stop loss for swing trading?
Hi A lot of people still have this great fear on
investing their money when it comes to trading, without any doubt i will strongly advise stock/forex trading which is really going well now because the market is still bullish. While so many inexperience traders still continue to trade with so much fear, others are being patient and thinking of a possible way out.
