  • People always want to know how I maintain my hair. This is not for everyone and I do not recommend anyone do this, but as I learn things, I think it is a good idea to share the knowledge with others so that they can avoid the pitfalls I have learned along the way.
The textiles I find that work best are alpaca roving, specifically baby alpaca (which represents the texture more than the age of the animal I am told) roving which I purchase from Etsy. Silk, Bamboo, and Himalayan nettle roving have all been tried as an attempt to be vegan in my hair expression but plant-based roving either does not felt and stay in (silk) or it deteriorates into gross chunks of material that looks like dry skin/dandruff (nettles). I have learned not to attempt those textiles in my hair ever again.
Feel free to ask questions here, I am happy to help the hair artists out there with their inquiries and can share knowledge as I am able! Thanks for watching!
