You're amazing Sir. Your explanation is so clear, simple and understandable. With this course, i'm really understanding the architecture of oracle database 😀😀😀.
Authentication is done by listener or server process?what about password file authentication, who does this in case of sysdba connection and database instance is not started? The server process for a client connection request gets started before it's authentication or after aunthentication.? Please clear it
Servers process is responsible to authenticate user, listener has no role in it, it is just like an auto driver he dropped u to your destination but don care if the work for which you went there was successful or not. Now Suppose user authentication failed(due to bad pwd or anything) user ll be prompted abt this and connection will be dropped and resources occupied by server process 'll be freed.
Hi Sir, I have a question: Let's assume we connected DB instance by listener and after that we say that listener is out of the way. But what wil happen if our listener "goes down"? Would we be able to do our processes ? Thanks beforehand.
Once we r connected to the database, our connection to the database is created successfully. Listener goes up , it goes down we don care, coz our connection will not be impacted just no new users will be able to connect to instance till listener is brought up again.
who will spawn server process for application connection request ? Is it Listener or PMON process, as I somewhere study that listener with help of PMON will authenticate the request and create server process, means there is PMON after listener in hierarchy ...Please confirm.
Hi, Great video, I really like it. One question about listener and network connections: lets assume that listener is running on default port 1521 and application tries to connect using source port 11000 (for example). TCP connection for db connection request is: 11000 (source) 1521 (dst). Now, when db connection is established, and listener doesn't take part in communication between application and server process - this is still the same TCP connection (on the same ports)? If i understand well - there is no new TCP connection established here?

You're really awesome but remove background music.
Thank you for explanations! It is much better than explanations made by teachers in my university.
Thanks... Enjoy learning
Sir, you are awsome. The way use explain with examples, is really fantastic. God bless you 😃
Sir, thankyou so much for sharing everything by making it super easy.
May Allah bless you, Aameen.
Remove background music please
Please add the translation file
thx men such great and clear presentation, i'm sure that you will made huge success as teacher
Very neatly explained Thank you so much...
Sir, is this possible if two or more listeners is setup in Oracle home
Thanks for your step by step explanation) But please, don't put this background music, it distracts attention...
Sir is it LREG or PMON who registers an instance with the listener??
If possible please remove the background music from All videos.
Noted...not having bg music in new videos uploaded
Can you tell me what is the use of another local listener though we have one default listener which handles the connection request?
Local listener is that one that is used locally... it may be configured as the default listener or any other listener.

Great teaching
Excellent Explanation RamKumar Sir
Enjoy learning
amazing explanation Sir, thanks from my heart . It's difficult to concentrate due to backgound music.

Even I have the same doubt
Yes Right listener once receive connection transfer it to pmon.
Thank you so much sir
Very nice series! The music though...

Such a good question, i hope sir answer this , so that this doubt may be cleared.
suppose a connection is already established, after that the listener stopped will that connection still works?
Yes, a connection once established continues to exist irrespective of the status of the listener
Excellent Sir..Please upload more videos
you are pretty awesome sir..thank you for this information
Thanks... Enjoy Learning
Please stop the background music Sir. contents are not clear and technical details are not clearly heared.
Thanks for the feedback.. shall take care in future videos...
Good Explanation..done...
very good explanation...thank you sir.
Thanks a lot.
could you please explain what is local and remote listener?
It's used in RAC to take care of load balancing between instances on different nodes by redirecting requests to another node
I have given a brief reply already
Amazing learning, but Background noise (music) is a real distraction.
Thank you
Nice Sir..
Music is irrigating
Background music 😭😭😭
explanation is good but background music not suggestible
Respects
