- What do you think about PvP Bounty Hunting? Personally I'm looking forward to BH v2 and the removal of FPS markers!

"downing" a player should be enough to get the reward in the current state of the game. that way you kind of "could take them in warm" :D or elect to finish them off. also, LOVE watching your streams but keeps these videos comin!
The only problem is PvErs would exploit this... eg. Hey friend, quick take my Bounty so no one else can then revive me!
Or even worse: Kill me, revive me so i reobtain the bounty and just kill me again and again and again...
@@_SPKer Could do it that once downed the bounty Hunter must transport them to klesher to get the reward ? 🤷♂️

@@SpaceSpuddd once downed they need to transport to a medic that only the bounty hunters medic can res said downed guy

Thats a really cool idea! I would love to see a shockwave when someone enters QD too...
Elite got this one right with their frameshift wake scanners
You can see where they went because their marker shows you their current location. The main problem is they keep running or they stop mid jump and you can't QT to their marker so it's hard to stop close to where they are. If you have patience though you can get reasonably close and drive the rest of the way and sometimes you catch them after they went to take a dump or whatever and you kill them unopposed, which is funny cause most can't figure out how you got to them when they return and find themselves in jail.

First run; drops 15 feet off a balcony headshotting them while they're busy in their pockets. Shoots them 15 times in the head then 15 times in the chest. OK JOB DONE NEXT

I always clear crime stat with a friend on lookout, and have a grenade launcher waiting for any BH types.

Whenever I do bounty hunting I down them and take their stuff, then have them pay 3x their bounty or die.
But Berks, how do we bounty hunt players without committing eXcEsSiVe pVp™??

Not going to lie I was expecting compilation of alt-f4's
I tried hunting players for many hours, and it always ended in them running until their quantum fuel ran out and then logging. The one time this didn't happen I got obliterated by a far superior pvp player :D
i tried pvp bounty hunting ones in a Avenger titan and i was fighting a far more experienced gladius. however 2 min in to the dog fight he smacked into a rock, luck was on my side that time.

Bounty hunting is going to be nuts when we have access to capital ships and when we have the full bounty hunting game loop (Surrender ect)
Imagine accepting a bounty on someone that happens to be on with friends, You rock up and find out their in a fleet with multiple capital class ships, Fighters and they aren’t being very cooperative. What do you do ? Call for backup ?

I have only had one interaction with bounty hunters. I was two months fresh, started doing bunker missions, and got an accidental crime stat. I decided not to go to prison, instead, I wanted to try to clear my stat, as I saw a vid about that earlier that week. Went to Hurston Security Depot, killed all the guards, and started that hacking stuff. I was literally shaking with excitement. After a couple of minutes, a player showed up and was obviously after me, because he walked in slowly and was ready to fire. He was unlucky that I spotted him first, so I opened fire and he retreated. I thought he ran away, so I continued hacking the thing when I see the guy coming at me again. This time I incapacitated him with my Gallant rifle. As he was laying there, I continued hacking, when I noticed healing rays. There was another player hiding behind the corner, trying to resuscitate him. I run out, finished them both off with a healthy dose of Gallant fire, and then finished the hack and cleared my stats. It took me like 10 minutes in total, as I have accumulated quite some crimes in the process. After completion, I got incapacitated, because I got dehydrated since I did not have any drinks with me, so I backspaced myself. :-)

Im new to star citizen . When you are doing a mission for bounty hunter are you hunting AIs or other players? I never did a bounty mission yet.
Can you play this 'role' in PvE mode?
Yes. Bounty contracts will initially be all bots. As you gain a better reputation with bounty hunters you'll start to get player bounties.
The easiest way to distinguish them is by name. Bots have "proper" names like "John Stevenson" while players will have something like "CandyRipper69"
Why is it that during the first bounty you couldn't see him through walls but the 3rd you were able to? I'd honestly love to do more criminal gameplay loops if it didn't give people wallhacks on me.
@@CaptainBerks I can't wait for the day where we're told a general area for a player we're hunting and to stay on our toes. I might give turning off the marker next time I go bounty hunting, sounds a lot more fun!

This is why I love the mantis for pvp stuff in general, just have the snare on, hold range and let the LFs deal with them while they endlessly chase the mantis or try to get away.

Berks said that Draykas at min 07:29 only had some choices, and implying that he couldn't QT from him - why couldn't Draykas QT away?
I believe Drac was in a Mantis or Svipul in a Cutty blue and so the area was quantum snared and nobody could qt. You can even see the no QT icon at the top right.

That blue Gladius sure gave him a pretty good fight by the looks of it, but I think the captain has some skills

To bad that PVP Bountyhunting most of the time it's jus a waist of time. But when you manage to hunt down a other player it's a very satisfying.
Had a memorable moment as i waited for a player to finish his bunker mission. I hided my ship behind a mountain next to his ship and just waited for him. As he was next to his ship i just strafed up and blasted him with my ships guns.
This I can get behind. That thing you did extorting haulers by screaming in global chat and randomly deciding to kill them, not so much.
ew you can loot people but they made a loot shooter game with no looting LLol
