I stopped playing Pokémon a long time ago (gen 3 at 20+) due to life's responsibilities. if you are young play the hell out Pokemon, stay up past your bedtime like me, my brother and cuz when we had a sleep overs cause one day won't have the opportunity to do it any more.
calc 2 final in two days after not doing math in a year in a half...been a while since I've been this stressed. the memories of playing pokemon games. those times, such great times childhood was. now, I sacrifice my fun and mental health for the future. pokemon music eases me though.
i get ur point, but to be fair the remakes attend to gen 3 and gen 2. i think its odd however there is no music from gen 1, though i dont know how much of that would be relaxing when i think about lavender town XD
Pokémon Ranger was before gen 4 And still, remakes are remakes, but they are the actual music. Just in better quality. Why put Littleroot town from RSE when you can have the improved version
@@dominikrosenkranz6611 gen 1 musics are, for the most part, in gen 2 and in the remakes due to Kanto being in HGSS. Battle themes aside, all the other themes are in the remakes

@PeruvianPotato maybe you're right, but not enough to feel nostalgia. for me personally as a kid i played gen 1-3 and considered gen4 and above the "new" games which i didnt play at the time. i played them later (about 4 years ago), the feeling that these are "new" games doesnt go away. pokemon gen 1 and 2 was just so different, i still remember the sh*tty graphics yet awesome gameplay. (but i wouldnt want to play them nowadays)

I'll die on the hill that less was more in Pokémon design. 3D, after all these years, still does not look as good as the black and white games.
Play rom hacks. There are plenty of rom hacks that have all technology and pokemon but use 2D style. For example Unbound or Emerald Seaglass
