Food & fuel crunch hit Tana River & Garissa counties

As the government outlined its raft of measures to address the devastating effects of floods in the country, thousands of those affected in Garissa and Tana River counties are now grappling with increased food prices as the area remains inaccessible after a section of the road was swept away.
Many gas stations have run out of fuel, vegetable vendors have been forced to hike the prices of their commodities as hired boats remain the only mode of transportation.
