Idk, I do miss old faust, his redesign kinda stung at first but I've come around to it somewhat. The removal of pogo/going my way for Mixmixmix makes sense for Strive, his command grab is way better in Strive imo, and scalpel changes are fine. Scarecrow for doors kinda sucks but again, it makes sense in the context of the game it's in and it's still a fun tool to use. New I think 2H feels way better than it did in Xrd/ACPR. The biggest change is to item toss and I love it, being able to put out multiple items on screen drastically changes the way Faust can play, it's great and I honestly think it makes up for his other changes (that said give me back kara divekick, that shits sick) hopefully more, rarer items will be added in the future though. Imho I think the worst thing they could've done with Faust in Strive is keep him the same. Also why do you hate the new bomb? It makes both his neutral and pressure more dynamic and I think it's a lot of fun.
If Faust was just buffed a bit more people would start playing him more and realize how fun he is in strive. The complete chaos and crazy setups you can do are amazing.
Aside from maybe overwatch, none of the FPS’s are exciting in what happens. There are small feats that are cool yeah, but I haven’t seen true expertise, resolve, and raw power put on display in anything other than the FGC. Evo moment 37 should be more than enough, but that’s not even the end of it. Nage vs Omito 2018 was two players of ungodly skill going at it back to back to back with no breaks. That shit was heartstopping. Shooters can’t come even a little close to doing that for me.
Not to discredit any pro player from competitive game genres but I think team games such as shooters and Mobas aren't completely hyperfocused on individual skill in comparison to a true 1v1 like Fighting games and is understandably team based which limits the possible hype moments one can see limited by what's seen on the screen which is just a single POV most of the time. Still though I do absolutely agree that seeing the absolute top players in an FG duking it out is hype as hell.
The "HASH-TAG ME TOOOOOOO" had me dying. Also, the one commenter starting out doubtful about the other's claim of these two being some of the best playing he'd ever seen, then echoing the same claim by the final round . . . dang.
