My wife and I would love an episode where you each plan a 3 day trip at Disney and then walk through each of your trips. Where you would stay and why, what order are you hitting the parks, what are the key things you want to make sure to do. It could even become a series where you change how many days or at what time in your life you are planning for. (No kids trip, trip with the whole extended family, trip with young ones etc.)
Disneyland is a much more pleasant experience than Disney World. I feel like Disney World is absolute chaos. I love the random character appearances and overall vibe of Disneyland much more. Charming is the perfect word for it.
Jess's last comment about how they managed to fit so much in a small footprint is SO TRUE and a BIG BONUS to Disneyland! It's easier to get all around, especially if it's harder for you to walk longer distances, have a kid in a stroller, etc.
Yay! My home park. My partner and I are getting married at the Disneyland resort this week! This podcast was perfect timing to help keep me psyched during the last minute chaos/stress.
I grew up in CA, and have yet to go to Disney World, so I actually skipped the last few episodes because they were able parks I haven’t been to yet. So I’m excited to have a podcast dedicated to the one park I’m familiar with.
I am so happy you included Pirates of the Caribbean because I grew up going to Disneyland and found it far superior once I finally went to WDW’s version😅That one deserves to be on the list
Can you do a “Adults first trip to Disneyland trip guide”?? We are 25 years old planning to go before the year is over for our very first time. A lot of the guides I’ve found are what to do with your kids.
The Tiki room is always special to me. I still picture my Mom, Dad, Sister and I sitting watching it and singing “let’s all sing like the birdies sing”, every time I go. This was about 50 years ago. I always smile as I tear up😊
A good thing to know with the finding Nemo ride - there is a room where you can watch what's happening through the window that's good for claustrophobic people or young kids that won't sit still. Also - space mountain is just hyperspace mountain all the time at Disneyland. It's kind of sad honestly. I miss regular space mountain
Oh man Jess your number one gave the alll the warm and fuzzies- I’m Australian and have only been over to Disneyland twice in my life and on my second trip I took my husband over and the very first thing we did when we got there was brecky at carnation cafe- purely because we were starving due to time difference and we sat there all by ourselves and listened to the rope drop music while waiting for our waffles to come and I got all teary and oh man I’d almost forgotten tht amazing memory until you mentioned carnation cafe ❤ So Thankyou for giving that back to me! I’m so loving your podcast guys and loved how excited you were for Disneyland stuff!
I am Australian and I'll never forget my first and only Disney experience was Disneyland. I used to be a travel agent and was lucky enough to get invited to a Disney Famil back in 2007 - we landed the day after thanksgiving and stayed in Paradise Pier, and it was an awesome trip. We got taken backstage by Disney staff, had a private area for viewing the fireworks, and a 3 day park hopper to enjoy the parks and Disney Springs. We got a sneak peak of the upcoming "new" attraction Toy Story Midway Mania before it opened and got to ride the nemo submarine voyage just a few months after it reopened. Truly a magical experience!
Totally agree that Mr Toad's Wild Ride is a classic. I ride it every time I'm there! I'd also add the guardians of the galaxy version of tower of terror is amazing and I'd ride that all day if I could.
really hoping a "Haunted Mansion lore" episode is on the agenda for October 🤞🏻🤞🏻🎃👻loving the podcast, I'm not really a Disney person but this is so fun!!! 😌
I used to live in SoCal so my family and I used to go to Disneyland all the time. We used to be able to say at 5pm on a Friday “want to go to Disneyland?” and be in the park by 5:30 until midnight. It was a great way to grow up and we have so many great memories there. It’ll always be my favorite park because of that. I always love watching videos or listening to a podcast about this park because it’s just got an extra special bit of magic around it because it’s the park Walt built. Love hearing your guy’s top tens!
Jessica if you loved breakfast at the Carnation Cafe then I recommend breakfast in the Park with Minnie and friends at the Plaza Inn. It’s a character breakfast at the end of Main Street and I’m sure Gigi would love it.
This is EXACTLY what I thought when she mentioned breakfast! Plaza Inn is the best breakfast experience. My kids always say it's one of their favorite memories.
Coming from a Disneyland native, you guys had great choices for your top 10! Also, don’t sleep on the pickle. It’s extra magical, promise 😂 a must on every trip we take! 🙌🏼
I'm a Disney World fan. But I was in Disneyland when I was 7 years old (1956, a year after it opened). The one most memorable thing about our time there was the Pinocchio ride, floating in a boat inside the whale's mouth and seeing the fire glowing in the roof of its mouth! So frightening for a 6 year old!! 😳 It is engraved in my mind. We stayed at the Beach Club resort in DisneyWorld in the 90s. Really cool pool there and a cute ice cream shoppe! You walk across a little bridge out back and you're in Epcot! Can't wait for the new DW vlogs! 👏🏻
Loved this! I grew up in California and still live on the west coast, so Disneyland is where I've always visited since I was 2 years old. Now that I'm grown and have a 3 year old, we have made it our own family tradition to eat breakfast at Carnation Café on the first morning of our trips and we always request to eat outside! It's so charming and nostalgic. The sights, the sounds, everything about it is just perfect. I loved that that was your number one, Jessica! 🥰💖
Disneyland is my home park. I also used to work there. There is so much pride and history in this park. As a kid I could watch the fireworks from my bedroom. Some of my favorites are Touring Walt’s apartment, Big Thunder during fireworks, Haunted mansion regular and holiday version, pirates (the smell tho 😊), mark twains riverboat while enjoying a good snack, just walking around the Matterhorn, Alice in wonderland and the teacups, and Splash, but I’m so so excited for the update.
Same! We used to watch the fireworks from my grandmother's upstairs windows, and that was so long ago, there were orange groves as far as you could see -- just on the other side of her backyard fence! *sigh* #nostalgia
Great picks! My son loves so many of the "less" popular rides like the Matterhorn and Pinocchio. We always end up riding his favorites multiple times even if it means skipping out on others altogether. I'd have to say my number 1 would be Indiana Jones but it almost feels like I have a favorite ride from each trip.
Yay! I feel so heard. Thank you for doing Disneyland for episode 5! This was such a huge help for our planning. I mean, it both helped and just complicated it all since it sounds like "do everything" is the consensus :P
I'm a west coaster so I've been to Disneyland lots of times and never to Disneyworld! I still watched all your Disneyworld podcasts, though. It was fun to learn about that overwhelming, gigantic place! I was excited to hear you talk about Disneyland today but I have to say, I found your choices kind of odd! I wonder what they would be if you'd been more than twice? There's still so much good stuff packed into that little park! l hope you get to go lots more and I look forward to watching your next Disneyland trip vlog... one of these days! Super excited for your California Adventure podcast, too.
Disney World was my 1st family trip when I was 9 yrs old. I also got engaged at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom in 2000. We actually have a brick (that is part of the sidewalk now) to commemorate that day. We have also taken our kids there, but that was when they were 2, 5 and 6. They are now 25, 28 and 30! In the next few yrs I’d love to take our soon to be grand babies. If you need another agent, that would be my dream job!
The Main St Railroad is my favorite of all time! I can smell the dust as I'm watching your video clips. We had passes, lived super close to the parks at one point and would go for date nights. Just sip hot chocolate as we went around the park on the train!
Another dark ride that should be included is Winnie the Pooh, it's a must for us with our kiddos. Also, watching the theater shows from under the tent are a MUST. We cry every time. A MUST for us for sure. Side note...your next trip you need to check out Belle's library in the Animation Academy building in DCA. Since you're a beauty and the beat lover youd love it.
Okay I didn't see this in the comments yet, but on the pickle note, because if I am passionate about anything it is pickles! They also sell the pickles at the cart across from the entrance to the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland. You can grab a pickle and then stand in line for Indy or Jungle Cruise (it depends on line length because you can run out of time to finish the pickle.) or you can sit at the tables and people watch. They repurposed some of the space inside the shop in Adventureland to put tables so you are out of the sun.
I can't even remember the last time I went on the storybook ride! It IS so cute though. Also, the Pirates at Land IS better. The drops are better, the theming makes more sense, it's just the best.
I live in the Netherlands and visited Disneyland in 1995, I am 54 but Toon Town is my absolute favorite. I am such a big Mickey Mouse fan and I was like a small kid so much fun it was to visit his house😂
I’m finally getting around to watching the podcast (mom of 2 little girls -2&5). I love how Jessica has worked in being hot and sweaty at the end of all of these. Also - I’m getting all the Disneyland feels. We’re wdw people
I’m from a hardcore Disneyland family we’ve been going every year since 2000 we’re magic key holders and while it’s been interesting to hear about your faves from WDW I’m very excited about what you have to say about my home park lol 💜 I’m already shocked Nemo is even on your list 😂
I’m 30 and live in Arizona and I’ve been to Disneyland a lot, but I’ve only been to DisneyWorld 2 times as a kid. Growing up with 5 people we took turns picking where we wanted to go on vacation, us 3 kids always picked Disneyland and the beach so we got to go a lot and the drive wasn’t bad. When I got married 10 years ago, my husband had never been so for our honeymoon we went to Disneyland and stayed at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel with our wedding gift money and the hotel upgraded us to the best room they had. Now we take our 3 kids every other year! We love it, our kids love it! Disney is awesome.
I've never been to Disneyland and I'm a Disney fan so of course I have wanted to go but you guys are making me want to be there right now! Haha good job!
Maybe I should comment this on a DW specific episode lol however: I don't know if you plan on covering this, but as a new DW fan, I would LOVE an episode, or a segment of an episode, of your book, documentary and research resource recommendations!!!! I try to write them down as you mention them but I don't want to miss any Lol!!!! Thanks for all the awesome Disney content! You're always the media highlight of my day!! Xoxoxo Lauren from Canada ❤
Ariel is where WDW’s 20,000 leagues used to be way back when. It was then later changed to include the tinker bell play area and the rest was walled off. Dumbo used to be where Seven Dwarf Mine train is now and they relocated that with all the changes. Then toon town came out further from where the Circus area is now and had Mickey and Minnie’s houses and so many other cute areas. I can see it all in my head from back in the early 90’s but it has gone through a few changes.
I have been to Disneyland hundreds of times, this blog just made me love it more! You guys make me love it more! You are so much fun and I love watching you!
I grew up in California and went to Disneyland all the time when I went on the submarine ride it had live mermaids I looked it up and they were there from 1959 to 1967. The Tiki Room and the old west saloon can't remember the name must have been in Frontierland, we got to see the Cann-Cann my parents' favorites and we always made a point of going every time we were there. This is so fun to look back Thanks.
My claustrophobia flared up when I was inside of Star Tours on the part when we “crash into the water”. They didn’t stop the ride, but I had to take off the glasses and look away from the screen. Cast members were there to check on me as I walked out.
Disneyland ALL the way!!! Also, I can’t believe you didn’t eat a pickle! ESP with tajin seasoning! Of course I’m a CA girl, I’ve gone to WDW a couple of times and even though they have more parks, they’re all relatively small. I loved it, but it’s a completely different feeling. Disneyland will always have a special place in my heart and there is so much history that they’ve kept. ❤❤❤ Loving your podcasts! Please do a DCA specific episode because so are so many good things! Goofy ride is deff of my top 5s. Lol.
I had a Disneyland pass back in the early 2000s and they had climbers for the Matterhorn then too! I feel like we need a special sound effect for when you guys rank something the same number LOL Haunted Mansion Holiday is 100000 times better than the original. The best way to ride Indiana Jones is to sit in the back row and try not to hold on
Love these podcasts! Thank you so much for recording them for TH-cam. There is something special about the way Jess looks at Tyler. Im a Disneyland girly and you guys nailed it! Can't wait another 2 weeks for the next pod! Hopeful one day you guys will have a Disneyland meet up when your in town! Would LOVE that.
Haunted Holiday Mansion is my favorite and this previous Holiday season they extended it until Jan 28th, super cool! Also, I love that the Gingerbread House in the dining area changes each year.
I went to Disneyland once and absolutely loved it. Charming is the perfect description. But, one of my favorite memories is riding the Matterhorn. I’m not sure what I expected, and I’m a huge fan of thrill rides - but it was SO much scarier than I thought it would be. So I was screaming out of pure fear, crying from laughing at myself being so scared, while being jerked around so violently 😂😂😂 it was chaos and I loved every second of it.
No the one in Disneyland is way better! The whole outside and the way it looks is so much better maybe it’s not the ride itself but the way it looks is 100/10 lol the horchata cold brew is bomb and I’m glad I got it when I was there! And the nightmare before Christmas overlay is the whole reason I went to Disneyland in the first place, that’s so my childhood and I sobbed getting to ride it with the overlay!!! And this is like the first time you mentioned splash mountain being changed… you guys are happy about it? I’m definitely a Disney world girly but I finally got to go to Disneyland last year and it was a dream come true! I’ve been to disney world a handful of times and it’s also a dream every time but when I’m Disneyland! Also you guys should come to the real Saratoga springs! And go to a horse race! GiGi would love it! It’s so fun!
Loved this episode guys! I’ve mentioned in my previous comments on your other videos. Hope you read this! I’m from Australia and have never visited the US let alone Disney, only been to Disney in Paris. But I love listening to your podcast and watching your Vlogs. Please keep the content coming, I’m planning my 5 year plan - future Disney and US trip just because of you two!
I'm enjoying the podcast and can't wait for the history side of the parks. Maybe now you've done both parks the next logical step would be your first time at them and what to to expect and how to choose which one to plan for (i can't remember how you worded it when you mentioned it in last episode).
Ooh! I love all the Disneyland footage sprinkled in! I’m usually an audio listener and now I want to switch to video! It’s funny how Jessica is like “I usually skip Disneyland content” cuz that’s the only one I’ve been to. It’s fun to learn about Disney World but it’s fun to recognize stuff in Disneyland (although I haven’t been in awhile)
Captain Ron!! That's a classic in our household :D Also sending my love for your podcast and all your Disney content. It satisfies my Disney cravings when I can't be there! I especially love to play them in the background while I'm working. And also playing the resort loop soundtrack, you know the one that plays on the resort tv at the hotels! :D
It’s only a bit over a month before I visit WDW for the first time, but this episode got me reminiscing about the time my parents and I visited Disneyland. It was about 11 years ago so I was 17 and honestly excited for Disneyland, but had no idea how much I would love it. My parents aren’t much for rides and I didn’t want to wait by myself for hours, so we didn’t actually do any of the thrill rides but still had the best time just enjoying the theming and soaking in the magic. Even my 50-year old parents had a blast and said they felt as though they had been transported back to their childhood. Some of the things we liked best were the Tiki Room, eating lunch in Toon Town, Haunted Mansion, watching (I think it was) One Man’s Journey on Main St, and sitting down in the evening to watch Fantasmic. Hoping to make lots more memories in WDW, but it’ll be a different experience because I’ve done a lot of research - which on one hand ensures you do the best things, but on the other takes away the whimsy of the unknown.
The Matterhorn was the first ride I ever did at a Disney park and it was SO fun! I loved it! I’ve only been to Disneyland once, and it was my first Disney park back in 2009.
I second this! Would love an episode like this and it would be super helpful:))
All of this!
Yay! My home park. My partner and I are getting married at the Disneyland resort this week! This podcast was perfect timing to help keep me psyched during the last minute chaos/stress.
For the Nemo ride they have a video version for ♿ and people who just can't do the small space.
Came here to say this!
Yes, I don’t think many people know about this.
They also have it for the castle for people who can’t climb stairs or are claustrophobic
@@kafermom I did not know that. That is really cool. My sister is wheelchair bound and had no clue that was available.
We need to hear Jessica sing ❤🎉
She shared some videos on instagram an old cast member from like a high school show was sharing a while ago. She's REAL good.
How about a podcast about your top ten favorite Disney songs and you take turns singing a little of each song? Would love to hear you sing!
She has before and there’s a clip on TH-cam if you search Jessica Murphy. She’s incredible and definitely should showcase her talent here more!
PLEASE BELT OUT DINSEY BALLADS!!!
11:05 aww! Mr Toad’s Wild Ride! I wrote it once in DisneyWorld before it became Winnie the Pooh ride. 🐸❤
I remember being so stunned at the end. Why did he go to H3ll? He was a bad toad. 🤷♀️
Everyone sit back and relax, it’s going to be a good day. Disneyville posted 😎
I grew up in CA, and have yet to go to Disney World, so I actually skipped the last few episodes because they were able parks I haven’t been to yet. So I’m excited to have a podcast dedicated to the one park I’m familiar with.
The Gadget Coaster in Toontown is sooooo good!!
I am so happy you included Pirates of the Caribbean because I grew up going to Disneyland and found it far superior once I finally went to WDW’s version😅That one deserves to be on the list
I absolutely love the transition when you put up the social media tags and make the backdrop black and white!!! So great!!!
Can you do a “Adults first trip to Disneyland trip guide”?? We are 25 years old planning to go before the year is over for our very first time. A lot of the guides I’ve found are what to do with your kids.
Perfect timing. I’m going to Disneyland today and watching this while getting ready
The Tiki room is always special to me. I still picture my Mom, Dad, Sister and I sitting watching it and singing “let’s all sing like the birdies sing”, every time I go. This was about 50 years ago. I always smile as I tear up😊

Kurt Russel in Captain Ron! I love that movie!

I would love to watch these unedited. I just know there are ALOT of bloppers that would just be fun. Lol
The Tiki Room is a very nostalgic attraction to me.
My parents even has a record with Tiki Room on one side and The Jungle Cruise on the other side.
Storybookland Canal Boats in the evening when the lights are on in the houses is the best!
What timing! RIP Fantasmic…
Disneyland is my childhood and beloved park! ❤ It's truly magical!
I love the It's A Small World holiday overlay ❤️💚❤️
Yes-- THE PICKLES at DLAND! LOL!!
Totally agree that Mr Toad's Wild Ride is a classic. I ride it every time I'm there! I'd also add the guardians of the galaxy version of tower of terror is amazing and I'd ride that all day if I could.
My favorite thing about Alice ride is it comes outside and it’s up high I don’t know it’s just the coolest thing haha❤
really hoping a "Haunted Mansion lore" episode is on the agenda for October 🤞🏻🤞🏻🎃👻loving the podcast, I'm not really a Disney person but this is so fun!!! 😌
Perfect way to start the first morning of my vacation; laying in the hotel bed watching the Disneyville Podcast 🥰
This made me so happy!!! Disneyland is my whole heart. 🥰🥰🥰 I'm excited for the California Adventure episode! I DCA so much. 🙌🏻💜

The left side of the Matterhorn is awesome!! Definitely try to get on that side if you can, cause I agree, the right side is rickety and bumpy.
Loved this! I grew up in California and still live on the west coast, so Disneyland is where I've always visited since I was 2 years old. this reminded me that i’d love to hear your top defunct disney attractions! i know you loved ellen’s energy adventure but would love to hear more
Disney World was my 1st family trip when I was 9 yrs old. I also got engaged at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom in 2000. Love you both so much and this podcast is made of pixie dust 🎉
Best podcast yet! Great job!
The Disney sing a long songs created nostalgia for us that couldn’t afford to go when we were young and that’s just so cute 🥲
The Main St Railroad is my favorite of all time! I can smell the dust as I'm watching your video clips. We had passes, lived super close to the parks at one point and would go for date nights. Just sip hot chocolate as we went around the park on the train!
During Halloween too sometimes space mountain gets a creepy overlay called ghost galaxy

How funny, while I am watching this episode a thunderstorm is going on outside in my time!

I would love a Disneyland 101!! I know a fair amount about WDW but next to nothing about DL 😆
Please do best things to eat or drink at each park. We're going in August!
Matterhorn should be top 3! Still love you guys and anything Disney is 100%
I have been to Disneyland hundreds of times, this blog just made me love it more!
Going to Disneyland next month! Can’t wait! It will be my 5th time there. It’s my favorite park even though I grew up going to Disney World.
It really is the better one!!! ☺️☺️💓💓💓💓
Loving your podcasts! Please do a DCA specific episode because so are so many good things! Goofy ride is deff of my top 5s. Lol.
I'm leaving for my Disneyland trip tonight so this is perfect timing!
I had a Disneyland pass back in the early 2000s and they had climbers for the Matterhorn then too!
I feel like we need a special sound effect for when you guys rank something the same number LOL
Haunted Mansion Holiday is 100000 times better than the original.
The best way to ride Indiana Jones is to sit in the back row and try not to hold on
The Matterhorn had Alpine climbers for YEARS. I can remember them from like 15 years ago still being there.
yes… i would love to see an episode on ur 5th park hopes😁👍🏼💜
Love these podcasts! Thank you so much for recording them for TH-cam. There is something special about the way Jess looks at Tyler. Im a Disneyland girly and you guys nailed it! Can't wait another 2 weeks for the next pod! Hopeful one day you guys will have a Disneyland meet up when your in town! Would LOVE that.
I fully appreciate that you upload your podcast on YT at 5am. That’s means I can listen and watch while getting ready for the day. Thank you!
Haunted Holiday Mansion is my favorite and this previous Holiday season they extended it until Jan 28th, super cool! Also, I love that the Gingerbread House in the dining area changes each year.
ah this makes my Monday's now! Disneyland is my home park and this episode just gave me all the feels! I can't wait to go back!
Middlegrade is what you would refer to Kingdom Keepers as.
Great video as always. So enjoy you two ❤
5th park should be The Villians park !!
Thank you so much for doing Disneyland! I grew up going there! In 2 weeks, I am taking my daughter and wife! I am so excited!
Yep, it's the only inside and outside ride and yep, you ride on a caterpillar. :)
Yes! A new episode to start off my Monday at work, best Monday ever!
ToonTown is my favorite 90s Disney memory!
Perfect timing! Headed there next week!
I am weirdly a sucker for the Storybook boats too! 🥹😍
PS.... Shout out to Bailee for helping me get our trip set up! She has been amazing! And double shout out to people movers!
Also Disneyland space mountain does a Halloween theme one.
Love those mics! Love being able to clearly hear everything vs vlogs where sometimes the one not holding the phone is so hard to hear.💜
I'm enjoying the podcast and can't wait for the history side of the parks. Maybe now you've done both parks the next logical step would be your first time at them and what to to expect and how to choose which one to plan for (i can't remember how you worded it when you mentioned it in last episode).
We who live in So Ca and go to Dland a lot say that the Matterhorn is also knowns as "The Southern California Chiropractors Full-Employment" ride. lol
I would love to see a video about doing disney on a budget
Captain Ron!! That's a classic in our household :D Also sending my love for your podcast and all your Disney content. It satisfies my Disney cravings when I can't be there! I especially love to play them in the background while I'm working. And also playing the resort loop soundtrack, you know the one that plays on the resort tv at the hotels! :D
Been waiting for this one!!
I just got back from Disneyland last night 😊 can’t wait to hear your lists!
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride terrified me as a child at Disney World. Wasn't sad to see it leave haha
The Matterhorn was the first ride I ever did at a Disney park and it was SO fun! I loved it!
I’ve only been to Disneyland once, and it was my first Disney park back in 2009.
