(2023 routing) GO Transit route 21D from Clarkson GO station to Lisgar GO station

In April 2023, route 21 was restructured to discontinue direct service to/from Union Station during the daytime due to major delays from traffic on the Gardiner Expressway and in downtown Toronto. Instead, buses would go to the closest station on the Lakeshore West line to still provide service from Milton line stations to Union Station. This restructuring of the route was not well liked and in April 2024 the 21 was restructured again so that it would directly serve Union Station at all times.
This branch was introduced in June 2023, and ran on weekdays only between Lisgar GO and Clarkson GO with the only major stop in between being Meadowvale GO. Along with the 21B (which additionally stopped at the Erin Mills Transitway Station and Streetsville GO), there was combined 30 minute frequency between Clarkson GO and Lisgar GO on weekdays.
The current iteration of the 21D runs between Union Station and Meadowvale GO, making all stops along the way. It runs on weekends only.
This video was filmed on April 24, 2024 and the bus being ridden is GO Transit 2591, which is an MCI D4500CT built in 2014.
