I was going between the 558 and the 598. The 598 was too much money. After watching several videos by you and others I bought the 579. Wow! Natalie Cole is in my living room. So clear and detailed. The brushes on the snare drum are heard clearly as is every piano note. And brass blows me away. Very close to listening to my B&W 602-2 speakers, as detailed but warmer. Amazon is running a sale at $107. After tax and a $20 reward my total was $93. Listening through my forty year old Sherwood S7650 CP 45 watt receiver and Old Rotel RCD 855 CD player. A whole different experience than through my old Sony MDR-CD360 closed back digital cans. And the grey/black combo is sharp. Hurry over to AMAZON.
Punchy bass is the key detail. These headphones create wonderful pressure in the lowest frequencies as opposed to an exaggerated (intrusive?) booming sound common to other models in this series. Well balanced and VERY pleasant listening experience.
the thing is today i tried the 600 and 579.two weeks ago i have bought 579 and i like it a lot .afther one hour of listening between 579 and 600 ,i have chosen 579.this is why:is half price of 600,the sound signature is very very similar,i prefered the bass from 579 because is more tight .I don t think that 600 sound 2 times better then 579,maybe 10 15 procent maximum.this is my opinion .I think that 579 are more comfortable and the wires are better then 600.
@@constantinmihai1342 - I can't not agree with you :). HD579 are great, I tried HD599, HD579 and I keep 579 which sound better than 599 for me also. (599 are little to much agressive, put to my ears to many sounds) I also own HD600. Also HD579 are a little bit cleaner in treble compared to HD599. For sound HD579 and HD600 are similar in characteristic very very neutral, relax, but HD600 are a bit better, they are more precisly, they have something magical :) in sound that sound just a bit better. Also noticed bass is more tight punchy on HD579, but also it can be soft, so great. But for comfort HD579 are way better for sure, much less clamping force compare to HD600. For price ratio HD579 are perfect.
@@PeterMacPL Do you already listened to a 58x? If yes, i do not know exactly how the open cans bass differs the ''warm'' the people say. Idk what is the difference... And people say warm (more low than highs) in sennheisers has not bass, like the hd598! What bass and warm is nicest, in the HD579 or HD599 ?(if you have the 58x, tell me!) Thanks!
I'm kinda torn between the 579 and the older 598sr. Could anyone help me, which are better (for me they are both around the same price)? I'm mainly using them on my computer for gaming, movies, video editing, and some music.
Is the actual port on the headphones 3.5mm or 2.5mm? You said one end is 3.5mm with the adapter but what about the other? Great video though mate, good job!
I have HD599,does the audio from HD579 sound similar to 599 or is there large enough difference.Looks like both use same drivers.Getting a very good deal on HD579.I just don't like the heavy bass on HD599,does HD 579 have similar bass response.
I know that, but would they still be fine when using them with a phone. 50 Ohms is a bit high, but they normally say anything above 60 is not suitable for using with phones.
So the 569 would be better right. Thank you so much for your time and these videos are great by the way. It is helping me with the difficult decision. One more question, I love listening to electronic music so I like nice sounding base, but I am also gona use the headphones for gaming so I would like the sound to be clear. Which headphones would you recommend for that purpose?
My cellphone is a cheap one haha, so i think i got to buy the HD569 :c I read that these headphones have like 50 of impedance and i understood that it means that need a lot of "energy" to sound good, am i right?
Damn, i really want these headphones but i wouldnt enjoy at maxium then. So do you recomend me the HD 569 to listed music in my cellphone and laptop? Thanks, i think that im bothering you.
it means more money haha im from México and the dollar is expensive, i think the best choice for me is the HD 569, may be un the future i got these. thank you so much for your help. muchas gracias.

Don't know if i should get the 569 or 579 for gaming and music. I have no need for a mic so these headphones seem best for me. 579 is £70 whereas the 569 is £100 right now. I use headphones for long hours in a day so comfort is a big thing for me? What should i get?
Definitely, but the 598 has been popular among gamers for well over 5 years now and the 579 is a continuation of that. Really great sound stage, really easy to pick up footsteps etc and a really clean sound. Also easy to modify the connector and add a Boompro mic to it.
Great review as always! I'm thinking about buying these headphones, but wondering if a need a dac/amp to make them sound good? Or will they sound good with my Creative SB Z? I have been using ATH M50x for a couple of years now and they sound good but a little bit boring sound IMO.
Great reviews ! You made me want to order the 569 and 579 to see which one I like most. But before I order: is this (579) any good for listening on iPhone 7 or Macbook?
On the go wont be an issue since I mostly listen at the office or at home. There's usually radio playing at work so I won't bother my colleagues with some sound leakage. I guess I'll just order both and see. I do like the punchier bass as you mentioned so i am already leaning more towards the 579. We'll see. Thanks for taking time to answer by the way! By the way, since I'm quite new at this, does the 50 ohm impedance in combination with the dac/amp on the iPhone (or any other mobile media device) do anything to the sound quality? Or is it just a matter of turning up the volume ?
Ah ok, Im thinking about getting one, do I need a DAC/AMP, or my onboard audio (realtek 1150 from msi z170 m7 motherboard) would be enough? Im using sennheiser 323d right now with usb sound card that came in the box
Well mic is optional, FPS multiplayer games, main reason for headphones, games like PUBG u play 90% for bullets sound :D than move in which direction u hear it(use 5.1 surround speakers now) , probably around 150 - 200 Euroes , or what is that in dollars 200-240

how does these compared to the similar design from the gaming series PC 363D? for the sound and comfort, the earcups and the headband.

High impedance makes driving them usually harder
