Great to see this - there are lotsa LPs . . . so there ya go! 😅 I've been circling the Tribute for a year or so but figured I don't really need it because I've still got my '68 Custom that I bought 50 years ago and it does the job fine. Interested in something a bit different though so I did buy a 2009 LP Special - satin finish and it has the tune-o-matic, which I prefer to the single bridge on most of them . . . and it has P90's! Great complement to my Custom. I think if I get another Gibson I'd really like the L6S which has the maple neck and trippy little 6 position selector. I've seen some excellent YT reviews showing the variations on offer and it seems to have a thing all of its own. I'm thinking Xmas if all goes well - I see a few in Japan so may hop over, 3 hour flight.
Man I’m torn between a standard 60s or a custom reissue 59 (second hand though as it would decimate me financially 😂). The standard appeals although reflector knobs aren’t great. And it’s the sticky neck I can’t quite gel with. But those 59s are expensiveeeeee
I connect with it a lot more than the standard 50s for sure. I have horrible guitar faces, though. I find it to be a cross between popeye and mass constipation. So with the ‘59 I must look more constipated? Haha Cheers -Ryan
I bought a Les Paul Standard 60s in 2020 for $2450, and my CS LP 1959 M2M for $6700 in 2023. It's crazy how fast guitars prices are rising.

Both are great. But 59 is more clarity and wide. Anyway price is 50’s win 😅
