This was the song that got me into electronic music when I was 11 years old... now I listen to Pink Floyd, My Bloody Valentine, and Molchat Doma. How the time goes by so fast. I often wish I could go back to those days, when my biggest problems were waiting for the next video of my fav youtubers. Now, life just seems like a constant stream of cold emptiness. Everything is hollow on the inside and out. I’m supposed to think about colleges (I’m 17 US) but I can barely get myself to get out of bed most days. I feel like, somewhere along the way, my human development was stunted, like everyone else has the experience of what it means to live as a person, and I never got that. I feel like I don’t live, I exist, and nothing more. Sometimes, when I’m alone, it seems like it’s better to die - not because life is hard so much as it is devoid of value. But when I listen to stuff like this, or to old Monstercat songs, I’m reminded of a time when things didn’t feel that way. And I guess that just makes me feel even more empty. I’m sure someone out there, somewhere, can relate with what I say. That’s all.
