Brought tears to my eyes when I played through the first time. Did again watching this vid. For context, This is the 12th cycle. All other cycles have been won by Chaos. The 13th cycle is the original Dissidia game. The win made possible by the extra characters sacrifice in this 12th cycle.
This battle was so epic of the protagonists are trying to do of stopping the Manikins and the villains getting in their way knowing they will meet their ends too. Lighting despite being cold and mean, but has a gentle heart really cares for her friends deep down.
@Dzzy123 Interestingly enough, after all this time I've actually come around to him. But more as a "If they were able to complete the roster and the story made sense,"-wise. I see FF13 having three characters: Lightning, Snow, Noel. Snow and Noel are the most prominent antagonists of Lightning Returns, though Caius would still be a shoe-in for a 4th rep. Story-wise I could see the script being flipped with Snow and Noel being on the "good" side and Lightning the "evil" side, since she spends the majority of LR working for the final boss. That I think has more potential for Snow than having Caius who could only ever be on team evil.
An epic set-up but I felt it was anti-climactic. The bosses weren't much stronger than the first time you faced them, their equipment wasn't very good, and Garland, the only one who DID have a level advantage, had equipment to de-power him.
@@Omega-jg4oq by that prologue endgame, pretty much dodge and forward dash is already available, that abilities that you mentioned are only conditional or the powered-up ones. Literally just R1+X to evade and that ability is available initially. Unless you're focusing on damage abilities build first in a small capacity max CP, then your point doesn't make sense, and either way those two abilities are pretty much staple.
@@noyoucantnoicantnowecantsostop no no, I mean the movements and dodge moves.. I haven’t played the game for so long, but I’m sure that the more you play the more you unlock dodge moves like go forward or backward on the ground and in midair and something like that
@@Omega-jg4oq ...yes, i mean that as well, early-level abilities aren't just limited to unlocking attacks. And basic movement abilities + basic dodge are early-level abilities, the advanced or varied versions are mid-level & late-level abilities, that's probably what you think of. Abilities like higher & double/triple jumps, backward dash, free dash, longer block, along with auto (and ground / air) version of them are mid-level & late-level abilities. While the basic ground & air forward dash, and dodge are early-level abilities. Although it's been months since i played the game, i still remember those thanks to the tedious EXP grinding.
Yeah, its a hard scene block that Japan Square registered in the youtube database, and I doubt they ever gonna lift that since this game is so old. Unless they ever gonna remake this, its here to stay.
Dead. WOL & Kain killed em this cycle so they can revive and have a chance of defeating chaos in the next cycle. Lightning and co. die fighting the manikin army here which is why they don’t make it to the 13th cycle

In dffoo, Jack Garland and Garland are two different person. You can bring two Garland in a battle!

They need to make a forth Dissdia that is back to this kind of style, NT was such a disappointment as a single player game.
Dissidia has so much potential and I always love the different interactions between heroes and villains

You know that you have to play so much and level up with every character to unlock more abilities
