Why let the thumb studs hit the handle like that??? Seems like such an odd choice to design it in a way that you’ll create wear and tear on such an expensive knife simply by flicking it.

I think the MC logo looks really cool and i think he should be proud of the logo and have it laser etched on both sides of the pivot and on the lockbar cut away.He once considered doing this and should reconsider it,maybe some with and some without, let the buyer decide if they want the logo on the pivots and lockbar cutout.
I mean does it? That’s like me saying it looks like a TW Price Dawn, or saying a Vosteed raccoon looks like a CJRB pyrite. lol Sort of similar blade shapes but that’s about it. Metal Complex consistently talks about neutral handled drop points as something we’ve seen plenty of times before and not too exciting. And after handling literally thousands of knives, goes out and designs a neutral handled drop point that isn’t exciting.
@@NeevesKnives I’m sure it will sell well. And I hope it sells well for him. I’m also sure it’s well designed and manufactured. But it looks like countless other knives. No I don't think so, I've tested dozens of them with zero issues, Reate, WE and Bestech had no worries or issues doing it. A framelock is not typically a hard use knife so I can't see a scenario where it would be used very hard use with a thin blade
BRUUUUUU
As Long as you and he both allow PayPal I’ll buy it. Too many won’t let us buy with PayPal so I don’t buy. I wanted Mangarnus new knife but they won’t even ship to Australia so he can put his knife where the sun don’t shine. Don’t do the same!
Put me down for each one.
Metal Complex deciding to charge up the A$$ for a crappy knife while complaining about benchmade charging up the A$$ for a knife with a lifetime warrenty
I think there's a big difference from contoured, Titanium integral with timascus etc... this knife is not over priced show me a Titanium integral that is so much cheaper?
I’d check it out if it weren’t attached to Metal Complex. Guys a huge a hole.
Why let the thumb studs hit the handle like that??? Seems like such an odd choice to design it in a way that you’ll create wear and tear on such an expensive knife simply by flicking it.
It’s just the prototype, for the production models there’s a notch to accommodate the thumb studs. 👍👊😎
@@LostCoastEDC lol I just got a little impatient and commented before letting the video finish. Was relieved to see the list of improvements that’ll be made before the final version. Just got mine ordered a few days ago. I was torn between satin and DLC but decided to go with satin. Was bummed the full stonewashed was gone already cuz that would’ve been my first choice
It's not smooth,,, it's smaooth !! ^^
Samooth
The ANAX with a twist and it ain't close....
Would LOVE a larger blade version with a much deeper carry, low profile pocket clip which goes into the pocket easier.
Looks like a microtech anex
I mean does it? That’s like me saying it looks like a TW Price Dawn, or saying a Vosteed raccoon looks like a CJRB pyrite. lol Sort of similar blade shapes but that’s about it. Looks cool though, seems like a design that has inspiration from many many other knives, which makes sense since he’s handled and reviewed so many.
Reach-around complete...
Question:
If Spyderco made a likewise beefed-up Shaman, which, basically, this Kunwu Excalibur is, would you shell out $400.00 plus to get it?
If it was a titanium integral in DLC Vanax? I would... but I might be biased 😉
You need to go and have them eyes of yours tested!! How in the name of all that is holy did this Excalibur make you think of a sypderco shaman?
Please explain to me exactly what part of this knife said Shaman to you?
And before you do reply just take a look at both pieces first!.
That’s if you do reply and if you do please make some sort of sense and not be an idiot in a corner with a bucket over your head hitting it with sticks!
While shouting who’s there.
Can’t wait to here your reply until then stay safe and healthy my fellow human well at least I think you are or for a sheep you can type on a phone excellently 🫵🏻😘👍🏼

Might have something to do with its lines… or reading between them! 😁
@@metal_complex
Might!
I wouldn’t!
Good luck, in any case!
@@polyviossimopoulos2436thank you!

*Micro Chipping* 🤣 ..
Any excuse to sharpen I guess!
Yeah gotta find something
Pocket clip right hand only?
Make a folding dagger ganzo samson style that has better than D2 steel
Right and left hand variants available 👍
So glad to see he did not put his name on it just logo on pivot, within three years nobody will know he was even affiliated with the KNIFE. Lol just what he deserves.
The logo will be on the relief cut 😎
Thanks to China, everyone is a knife designer
I love the knife just don’t love the price. Will be nice if he does a version that isn’t integral to get the price down
It's a large integral, i would expect around 450 tbh
@@NeevesKnives yeah I get it just would be cool if he did a run that wasnt a integral
Metal Complex consistently talks about neutral handled drop points as something we’ve seen plenty of times before and not too exciting. And after handling literally thousands of knives, goes out and designs a neutral handled drop point that isn’t exciting.
Well like myself as well, I love what works great it's the little details that make the difference
@@NeevesKnives I’m sure it will sell well. And I hope it sells well for him. I’m also sure it’s well designed and manufactured. But it looks like countless other knives. And since MC often pushes for more interesting knives from makers and designers, I was hoping for more. I didn’t expect him to be the next GTC or Hinderer. And if this knife flops, it may limit his chances of putting another design out. I just hope the next time he spices up his design language next time.
I think highly of your opinions on knives and sharpening. You're intelligent, experienced, and creative. But your comment about knife reviewers making knives around the beginning diminishes the intelligence, experience, and creativity of knife designers. Ray Laconico, ~Ostap halp, Jespar Voxnaes, to name a few, are inimitable.
Complimenting one group of people's achievements, doesn't discredit another group. Thats like saying complimenting modern architecture, diminishes the ancient Egyptians building the pyramids.
@@OUTDOORS55 I say again, as someone who loves your content. You and Neeves have brought my sharpening game to a whole other level. I've bought the Sharpal and magnifying device, using your links. And I've bought multiple knives and have given on Neeves' live videos in appreciation. That being said, please review what is said @1:00 for context, but specifically @1:20. He says after listing a few TH-cam knife reviewers, including himself, coming out with knife designs, " Who is better to design a knife than...."
@@strawman817I agree with you, that comment is laughable actually a shameful thing to say. To think these sheep leading knife influencers have the audacity to put themselves at a higher level than the likes of the Grimsmos, OZ machine, Chris Reeve, Shirogorov, Brian Nadeau, Sinkevich, Pena, Anso,Vox, Skiff etc etc guys that actually make knives as well as design them. This knife influencers phase who make Chinese OEMs build from their paper sketches knives is an era of the knife industry I hope ends quickly. I’ve never been more turned off by the hobby than right now. Fingers crossed the sheep stop supporting this crap.
Yeah I'm not taking away from knife makers or designers intact i give them even more credit as they created stuff with no references. However that does stop rather people that test the products to also have the ability to create a good product considering they have some many references
That's a nice civivi praxis
Ouch! 🔥
