As an American, I’m so jealous because even though we DO have low cost carriers, it’s impossible for them to reduce the cost of flying the way that the European carriers can. In June 2023, I paid just over $200 for a flight on Spirit Airlines from LGA to FLL. It’s a two and a half hour flight. Flying in America is not affordable whatsoever and I haven’t flown in a year. I went to Las Vegas with my dad and brother in January 2024 to see a couple of ice hockey games. A flight from New York to Las Vegas is five hours. I went two and a half years without flying from January 2020 to July 2022 because of the pandemic. Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy recently. An airline like RyanAir is never gonna go bankrupt.
The cabin would look better if they didn't have these extremely yellow seats. Even though it was even worse earlier :D But otherwise, still a solid experience!
To Reserve a seat on BA (based on July 2016 anyway) it was a mad £15 PP Each Way!!. £2 or Euros is very good. Amazing trip report as always. That cabin looks very good now. Do you know what Easyjets is like?
LazyGuy222 2 I think EasyJet has a better cabin and seat design than Ryanair. Although saying that the planes are made by different manufacturers so you can't really compare them.
They're an aggressive cost cutting airline. They'll try to save money anywhere they can, including through their employees, customers, airports, suppliers and boeing. I've not had any issues with them, you get a cheap, punctual flight and the aircraft is usually clean. How friendly the cabin crew depends on the airline base and route.
I have flown Ryanair everytime I have flown and it really not that bad,Im scared of the landings though,they are very violent,and I have once flown that new aircraft it was amazing much better than the older version! Great Video!

Brilliant video, enjoyed this a lot. Goes to show, that the low-cost model in the long-run will be very successful. In fact, traditional airlines are now loosing profits due to airlines such as Ryanair and EasyJet. British Airways are now asking for you to *BUY* M&S sandwiches on all there short-haul trips, who knows, this may expand onto there medium-haul; again, trying to be more like the low-cost model because that's what passengers want - cheap, on time & safety. Usually I am not a big fan of Ryanair. But onboard this aircraft I must admit I was very positive surprised. The new Sky-Interior Design in combination of the yellow paintings makes this cabin looking very nice. Sadly it was such dirty inside.

Today my parents booked to fly us to Malta with Ryanair rather than Lufthansa! Prices were pretty much the same, but they didn't want to have to have a stopover in Frankfurt! No, instead they want to dive 3 hours to Luton and have a direct flight, with out free food or drinks for a 3h30 min flight... :-0 I hope it is better than I expect.
You can just buy a snack and a drink or even a hot meal. If you´ve booked Lufthansa you won´t have the opportunity to have a hot meal. LH would only serve a sandwich.
I have no idea how Ryanair makes a profit with 10 Euro fares, but I guess they do. Spirit Airlines and Frontier Airlines are the equivalent of Ryanair in the US and they both have worse service, less legroom, charge for carry-ons and still charge way more money than Ryanair does. Though in the US at least, Southwest airlines and JetBlue provide WAY better service and legroom for only a little more money.

No Ryanair has no real business class. The have an business fare called business plus. You can check-in at the airport without paying extra money. You have flexible tickets, fast track, priority boarding and 20kg luggage included. But you do not have special seats or service onboard the aircraft.
Is it weird that EasyJet has higher prices than Ryanair even though Ryanair operate aircraft made by Boeing and therefore have to import them from the US whereas EasyJet use Airbus A320s and therefore can put them into service immediately.
easyJet has higher prices because their employees earn more money ;) transportation costs of bought airplanes are minimal. Doesn’t make a real difference if you buy Airbus or Boeing. However, as far as we know, Boeing 737s are cheaper than A320s.
FlightExperience I still think the cabin on EasyJet planes are nicer and have a more contemporary design though, saying that though the Ryanair's version of Boeing's Sky interior (i.e. the cabin on this plane) nicer than American's.
We try our best to fly many different airlines as possible. But we´re from Germany so it´s not that easy and primarily quite expensive to fly Thomson, Monarch or Thomas Cook. But maybe we will fly them in the future! ;-)
I have to say excellent video but I don't recommend Ryanair to anyone, when I flew with them to Portugal a few weeks back the plane smelled of shit, the cabin crew where of no help whatsoever to my child and there was 1hr delay, again fantastic video but I don't recommend flying with them. Also most people think I hate them cause I work for aer lingus, I am a cabin crew for them so if ever you where on the flight it wud be great to meet ya
You are just like the BBC is/ought to be according to Lord Reith - educating, informing and entertaining. Low fares do require very fast turn around times, which means no time for cleaning whenever running behind schedule, I suppose, a small price to pay for such low prices. It is good to get a good report for Ryanair; they get so much stick!

Ryanair has emergency landings for mostly precautionary reasons, because the aircraft are perfectly safe and sound, it's just that Ryanair hates to stock up on fuel to save money, so the crew does emergency landings for fear of running out, but you aren't actually directly in danger. Sure the pilots have less experience, but they still have their license and can do their job competently

When you got a gate with an airbridge but it wasn't used because it's Ryanair😂😂😂. But their tickets are cheap so that's okay. Nice report as always!
