I watched this in California USA, I usually cheer for NZ or Australia if they play another country besides my home countries (Fiji/Tonga), but on this day I was praying for South Africa to win!

South Africa should host a world cup bug it won't happen soon. The next is in France, 2027 is back to Australia and 2031 is in the USA. 2035 may be but that is more than a decade away
It is disappointing that South Africa does not get to host another RWC. 1995 is too long ago!

@@theephraimite What's wrong with mixing sport and politics? The Rugby World Cup in 1995 brought South Africans of all different colours and cultures together to get behind their team. To this day the Springboks remain a source of national pride and South Africans all unite to support them when they're playing. Sport is a powerful political tool!

The shirts and shorts were cotton, the players mostly still real amateurs. No ads to speak of on the shirts. Unfortunately some law changes a few years earlier had already set the stage for the ruin of this game.
