    UPDATE:
    There is a mistake with the years on the graph. Every "line" stands for 3 years.
    Therefore the wording of the year 2000 and 1959 are wrong. It should be 1998 instead of 2000 and 1995 instead of 1959.
    Also, companys should be companies.
    I hope that explains it.
    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
    This video features a short biography of Putin as well as a in depth-documentary about how Putin is changing Russia.
    At the end of every year Forbes magazine publishes a list of the world's most Powerful People. In the current list, third place goes to Angela Merkel, second place to Donald Trump, and the first place to Vladimir Putin. Who in fact has been leading the list since the year 2013. And that is in many ways surprising. So why is the President so powerful? And how is Vladimir Putin transforming Russia and the world?
    Putin is challenging the European Union as well as the United States in major conflicts of war in Ukraine and Syria. In Ukraine he has annexed the Crimean Peninsula and is fighting a war in the eastern part of the country. In Syria he is supporting the government lead by Assad. And is fighting the rebels that were backed by the United States.The focus here in this documentary is on domestic policy and russias strengths and weaknesses. But if you wanna know more about Russias involvement in the conflicts in Ukraine and Syria, check out the videos we’ve made earlier about those wars. It will be interesting how the future relations will be. What does Putin think of Trump and how will the relationship between the United States and Russia develope in the future?
    This video was not made to promote a certain opinion on Vladimir Putin. It was made to show the realities of how he is transforming Russia and the world.

    Putin.. kicked out Soros.. and how is that bad...

    • @Terrorkarel
      @Terrorkarel 7 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      That just idea spectacularizes George Soros as some sort of all-powerful puppet master. Which honestly just overestimates how much influence he actually has, even though he is certainly an influential figure who funds some political organisations and NGOs. Above that, it's borderline antisemitic and too popular a view among neo-reactionaries who look for a figure to explain all political movements they don't agree with as a conspiracy of globalist Jews, which George Soros serves as a primary figurehead for that theory replacing the Rothshilds.

    • @bakuya99
      @bakuya99 7 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      If you knew anything George Soros is the reason why the democratic party had such a major loss.
      he is the reason for why the party of people gotten corrupted he is also the reason why there is money in politics. I say Putin kicked out Soros as good thing. We now have a whole party that was for the people now corrupted and taking money from donors.

    If he already ran 2 times as president, then became prime minister of Russia, how is he then president for a third time??

    • @neoexplains
      @neoexplains  7 ปีที่แล้ว +307

      The russian constitution allows two consecutive terms - but the total number of terms is not limited. Putin was president from 2000 - 2008 (2 terms), then had to step down. And became president again in 2012. In the meantime Medvedev changed the constitution so that a presidential term is now 6 years long and not 4 years.
      Therefore next elections will be 2018 and Putin could run again.

    Khadaffi's Lybia was one of the most prosperous countries in Africa, surpassing several countries that are democracies in the continent. Democracy does not mean you'll get prosperity nor quality government, and in a country of such history and size, getting a democracy that works favorably is really hard.

    • @lucidreamer6522
      @lucidreamer6522 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thing about Vladimir is that he inherited a weak democratic system that allows him to stay in power for a long time. This is probably one of the reason why more liberal democracies tend to have weak leadership compared to more autocratic-modeled governments; the more time an autocrat has in power, the more experience they will inevitably have in rulership. Meanwhile liberal democracies change power regularly, and while this is good for the sake of fairness and balance it tends to create a weak, sometimes even incompetent central government that has to fight to push its agenda every time the office of the top executive changes hands.

    Thanks for not throwing dirt at Russia as westerners usually do.
    1. Democracy won`t work in Russia as it is too big and too diverse. So autocracy is the best way to rule it. I can assure you that this autocracy doesn`t mean we suffer without personal freedom. There is too much freedom to my liking. I would limit some. In fact it is probably the freest country in the world in terms of freedom of thought and expression.
    2. Appointing governors emerged after governors elected by the regions created a tight knot of corrupted local authorities and started sucking out the regions. So to stop local corruption Putin started appointing governors. Of course corruption can`t be eradicated at all but the situation has changed for the better.
    3. Check your facts on Crimea, Donbass and Syrian rebels which would be called terrorists in any western country if they started operating on their territories. If you want I can give you a few links showing that Crimea is mad with happiness to escape to Russia.
    4. Finally, Putin is depicted in your media as a tyrant while in fact lots opf people in Russia wish he were more like Stalin to wipe away corruption and rebuild the country in no time as Stalin managed to do. And I sincerely hope God will send us a good successor after Putin not to lose what he has gained for us.

    • @TheEgbon
      @TheEgbon 7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Алексей Столповский I believe appointing governors is a good thing because if the people of the city do not like him, he's removed immediately instead of waiting for the next election. I have been living in Russia for the last 16 years and yes you're right, too much freedom.

      Gee. Putin has greatly turned Russia around. Russian agriculture is now 100% organic, and has a bigger market than the US (which is loaded with Monsanto GMOs). Putin got rid of the excessive debt and is sitting on a healthy amount of gold reserves. There have been new development in aerospace and avionics, particularly in response to the US-led sanctions war upon them. According to Gallup, Putin has 86% approval, and Parliament has 80% disapproval. Russians are free to go each way on that, and everybody under 50 in Russia goes to the Internet for news. I'll bet they do better than American aggregate that way.
