"They don't want the bots to be clairvoyant.." the 50,000 IQ play I got hit with earlier would absolutely beg to differ.
At first I thought this game was massively populated but as time went on I began to notice some very strange things. I went down the bot rabbit hole this week and realized I wasn't as crazy as I thought I was and I was actually on point with many things that originally made me feel like I was wearing a tinfoil hat. It turns out majority of my matches are against bots. Sometimes they are braindead, sometimes they have a third eye. I don't want to play easy bots and I don't want to play hard bots, I just want to play real players. Marvel Snap is an incredibly fun game but now that I caught on to the bots and the illusion of playing real players every match doesn't exist anymore I'm unsure how long I'll be around.

It's obvious and I understand it, l think exactly the same. If there is no ranking of all real players, there is no competition it is a 100% waste of time, and let's not even talk about spending money to beat Bots! It is painful to do so.
Another surefire way to tell you're playing against a bot is when you Snap right before ending your turn. The game allows you sometime to retreat after someone Snaps even if you've already finished your turn. If you Snap against a bot and end your turn there is no wait time and the next round starts immediately.
I've noticed sometimes a bot will try REAL hard to keep a single location for some reason. For instance I'll be ahead in two of the three, and they'll play their Apocalypse on the singular location they have control of. If I play nothing on turn six I still win because they just don't try to take another location. It's very strange.
That's an easy bot lol. There are more challenging ones
I just downloaded the game a day or two ago and have been enjoying it but somehow I knew I was playing against bots. Sometimes it's almost like they know what's in your hand or the zones that are going to pop up before they do, and I think when they automatically snap back is a telltale sign of a computer. I'll try to snap an opponent and it'll immediately say they took me up on it
Good video thanks. Some people like bots because they want to be casual and people can be annoying and ruin a casual players experience. I don't expect to get all the rank rewards. To reach infinite rank is a full time job. Also if you play a high collection level vs low collection level and vice versa is not fun. We don't want to get rolled over and over

In my experience, when I snap against a player and immediately end my turn, I can tell accurately that it’s a bot if the game doesn’t give any additional time to the other player in case they want to retreat. Anyone else found this?

I understand that they're using the bots to make sure that wait times are low but they could just as easily add a function to disable matches against bots, therefore you are agreeing to the possibility of a longer wait time
Great content, thank you. I get the need for bots. I don't get the need for bots (LSTM) to see the real players' upcoming plays. Devs should take that function out. It would be cheating if a real player hacked the game to be able to see their opponents' upcoming plays, or cards in deck/hand
Not only that but I feel like the bots can use any cards that would be available based on your collection level. The amount of times they've conveniently had enchantress on turn 6 is too common to be coincidence.😂
Lately I have noticed that if you are playing against a player with a beta season card back, especially the Wave, Thor or Daredevil one, it is likely to be a bot.

I am glad they admitted that the bots are in fact Clairvoyant WHEN THEY HAD BEEN DENYING IT.
If you see someone confidently playing into danger room it's a bot. They know the outcome of rng.
Apparently they don't just know the outcome but can actively manipulate it (i.e. they can change the rng in their favour). Not sure if true, but either way probably best not to contest danger room if you think it's a bot.

The other day I went against a bot playing negative and they had a perfect curve (that wasn't the sus part) but on turns 5 and 6 they produced Omega Red AND Onslaught after I Scarlet Witched a location into Onslaughts Citadel 🤣🤣🤣
Re: card backs, I don't see as many with the default back as I do with weird/unreleased ones. I see the Daredevil logo back on bot decks *constantly*

DD logo came out in beta, apparently.
Yeah they use the pre global launch cardbacks. Thor's hammer, punisher and the castle one. Those bots tend to be the easier ones in my experience.
Aaah, that explains all the free cubes I've been getting. I just like having the Cyclops avatar and keep forgetting to change the card backs. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not sure if I'm the only one thinking this but I'm certain alot of bots run iceman and scorpion cause without fail everytime I'll see those 2 played back to back every single time, to the point you could call it! But then I'll come across others that snap at the start and literally play one lane 🤷♂️ one extreme to the other

Yea as an infinite player I can say I go against bots a lot more then before but it also has to do with the time of day, I vs mainly real people during the day but then when it hits like 1-2 am an I just wanna get a few games in, about 20-30 matches I will probably get half bots and half real people, for me the biggest give away is that tip you said about the rare crackle effect on a base card that hasn’t been upgraded
I try to use the emotes to tell if the other person is a human or not and I have never gotten a single emote back
once my opponent played the first two turns into jotunheim and didnt play their patriot into sinister london i decided to snap for a free 8 cuber to get me to rank 80, bless papa brodes well programmed bots
Thanks for the advice - just wondering if you think you are playing against a LSTM bot what are the best tactics to use against them? Also - why on earth would someone label the lowest level of bot as 'Human'????

In my resent experience, now bots will allways let you win at the end of the game. They can go as far as doing nothing or even ruin their own board to let you win.
Nvprod is a folder you did not specify which json file exactly holds that information
I was finding odd all my opponents have perfect 100% decks without missing any single card... while i am stuck at collection 1200+ and missing a ton of key cards for my main deck
But now that we can change our name once a month, how valid is that list of names now? Great content as always.

Still seems to be valid as of this week. I have used it to win a few 4/8 cube games against opponents with bot names making obviously bad bot plays (for instance, playing Angela into a location that already had two cards, then moving Nightcrawler there, so the Angela got zero power). I guess it's possible to run into a real player with a bot name, but the chances are probably pretty small right now. I did wonder whether using a bot name would encourage people to snap more, but I'm not sure many people are really checking the list.
I've waited over 7 Mins in a Conquest game before getting an opponent.
I noticed that bots can retreat if they are defintley losing or at least pretend they are a human being that knows is losing by far

Ngl I slowed vid on the suspected bot names list expecting to see my own username, as I use standard agent avatar and the base card back on all decks. It isn't a particularly "bot-like" name (Username is "Meh") but I could totally see some people thinking I was one. Only way most would probably be able to tell is emoting, I'll normally emote back or throw a fist bump/thumbs up at start/end of games.

Unsuprisingly, the list is not going to be 100% complete - there's a lotta bots! We can only go off the subsection we currently have, and encourage people to use that list AND other identifiers to get an answer. Working with what we have! :)

As an Infinite player here's my tip for people who are OVERLY worried about whether you're facing bots or not: it doesn't really matter. Whether you're playing against a human or bot your objective is the same, you just have to win the game (and ideally win as much cubes as you can). Worrying about bots is focusing on the wrong thing, instead work on developing your deck piloting and cube management.

Except they seem to have daredevil built in for every turn, rng knowledge if they will lose at a location like danger room etc. And other rng before it happens
It does matter. You can manipulate a bot into snapping for 8 cubes. You can expect a bot to allow you to pull off combos not possible against an aware human player

Well , I think they are cheating to a level that you cannot sometimes win … I have seen an opponent play the same card twice without using any ability to duplicate their cards 🤷🏾♂️

Started playing the game after I watched a GDC game design talk. After a few matches it was obvious I was playings bots. It's a decent card game for mobile, but imo bots ruin it.
very confused about bots being prevalent in gold, i got reset to gold because i dropped to 79 on the last day of last season and i’m still playing against infinite players every single match. terrible matchmaking
79 would drop you to 40, which is a little above the 30 proving ground where most of them lie
just realized i mimic bots and get easy wins :D
I don't mind bots being in the game, but being able to see your hand and know your plays before you play them is messed up. That seems more like an effort to take cubes OUT of the economy than inject them into.

I’m lazy people probably think I’m a bot lol I don’t name my decks I use generic avatar. I generally don’t emote back. My card back is the generic purple.
Bots that cheats will always win no matter how the player played their cards, they just know where and what card to put on to counter your move. Bots sucks big time.
That's only true for bots between rank 70-80 (for challenging climb)

I was at rank 89 last season, its moderately difficult to reach rank 70 for me the last season. But in this season, I find the bots get much smarter after rank 50 plus and above, I just can’t get over rank 65.
Its fine and all to play against bots but why they feel the need to disguise them as players?
This some sinister s… One thing is using some bots to make the game “run smoother” but that MS won’t let one know when you are playing a bot or a human while trying to get you hard earned cash out of you at the same time is foul. I have met way too many bots from the retarded ones that makes mistakes that are just too stupid to the ones that seem to being able to read your cards…

I'm not very good, but I got to infinity by playing a lot and getting better. Definitely thought it was impossible too.
And this season I don't have as much time, so I most likely won't hit infinity.

I wish I could believe the bots are benign, but I have too much proof to the contrary. If they can't see your play and don't manipulate RNG then the AI has become psychic. For example, twice today I had this happen, once on turn 4 on Kyln and once on Death's Domain: I flip first with turn priority and play Jubilee, Jubilee pulls America Chavez, the "player" for NO reason plays Shang Chi into that lane and take out Chavez. Once an inked and once a gold, neither with effects so you know. So the bot knew both what card Jubilee was pulling and the proper counter. Twice in a row. Many such cases too.
It is mentioned many times in this video that certain types of bots can see your hands and plays.

So the problem with this entire video is that you’re making a video about how to recognize bots based on the fact that we the players don’t want to play against bots. Yet Second dinner doubles down and ignores our requests and chooses to make more bots and to make the bots more human like. Bump this game!! It’s heading in the wrong direction. Period. I don’t want to hear this ridiculous reason of “it’s adding cubes” into the ranked system. That’s BS! They can provide every player with an infinite amount of cubes and base your ranking off of the amount of cubes you’ve obtained compared to the amount you’ve lost. It’s a simple math equation. Stop spending money on this game immediately and your time. They change cards and their abilities without compensation. They don’t make card’s easily accessible. They value series 5 cards at over $200 each. Just stop it. Move on from this game immediately. I can go on and on.
