I saw in Part 1 that you had since left the Postal Service since then but I can't blame you. I've been with the USPS for 6 years now...half that time as a CCA and full-time Regular since mid 2019 and I ain't gonna lie, it's a great job with great benefits but it's definitely not the end of the world to branch out and go do other stuff. I personally don't see myself doing the whole 30 years but who knows we'll see what happens lol. Thanks for your service! Cheers
I’ve had dogs bust through bay windows, I’ve had them grab onto my shoe, I have slipped and fallen on icy sidewalks and steps, people tie dogs up to the front steps to poop, they don’t clean it up so it ends up on my shoes. I don’t understand why people complain about the mail service, yet they don’t know or care what mail carriers go through.

As a carrier I so relate - I like how you stand your ground with customers and their dogs. That is a must do because if you don't you can easily get bit and that ain't happening LOL. Aggressive people and their dogs management will always take carriers side and rightfully so LOL
I used to work for FedEx ground. I truly understand everything you said, and I understand all your frustrations lol. I can relate to all of them.

A little trick. You misdeliver a letter and the occupant thinks they need to proclaim it so that the right person sees you misdelivered their mail. Take some tape and press it hard over their writing. Pick the end of tape and pull the tape off. A thin little slice of the letter will pull off along with the writing.

Hey Im Nia, my wife use to work for amazon. She didnt like it. I use to be a MHA the warehouse is very toxic. So now I applied for CCA I hope I made a good decision. Can you talk to us about how you handle mail in bad weather. How do you deal with dogs on the inside and the outside??

I worked in homecare and hospice for 2 years setting up medical equipment. I would do this job in a heartbeat vs working another day in hospice. Houses filled with crap/bugs, all weather, everything and more that mail carriers deal with. Nurses and social workers treating me like crap, being on call getting calls in the middle of the night, dealing with death daily etc. Im praying I get this job lol
You're gonna be working alot of hrs & 7 days a week sometimes

What about if your a cca. Can you skip unshoveled yards or will you get in trouble for skipping? I'm assuming I won't.
It doesnt matter if youre a CCA..youre still a carrier and all carriers are not obligated to deliever mail to the hail if they feel unsafe doing so..you wont get in trouble for protecting yourself

Thanks for watching. I can't lie it's been so long I kind of forgot how breaks officially work. However, that sounds about right. But be sure to take care of yourself out there so, if you have to take more because of the conditions (too cold/hot) do so.

Hi! Love watching your videos! 🤗 I recently applied for ARC what's the best Job to work on ? What's the difference between RCA & ARC??
Those are rural positions. You should try being a CCA that is on the city side. You make more and have more of a set schedule. It's also way easier to become regular on the city side. I became regular in 11months
Is CCA hard though ?? 🤔 I would give it shot if I was wanting full time. I do eyelash extensions on the side , I'm certified. RCA would be a fit? Since i still want to do lashes. If I didn't do lashes definitely yes CCA would be my full time job

Why did you only delivered once a week? Is that ARC, CCA or RCA? I applied for RCA and I'm only waiting for my fingerprints appointments but I want to work at least 35+ hours a week...not once a week :/ now I'm a bit afraid of that
I was a Carrier Technician (regular). I covered the off days of five different routes so, I only delivered each route once a week.

Yes you can wear nails but the ink from the mail might ruin them if it's a light color. And no the test wasn't hard. It's common sense type things (matching address etc) nothing you can really "study" for...

Sounds like your process is a little different. I never had an interview. But if you pass the background check you should be all set.

why aren’t you a mail carrier anymore? i’m curious to know because i am looking into becoming one so i’d love to know the pros and cons to it, i would also be a mail carrier in michigan and ik those winters will be rough😂
1. I moved out of state and 2. I never intended it to last forever. I was just a job to tide me over for a bit (I was there longer than I expected (2.5 years)) And if you become one in Michigan be sure to dress for the weather! As long as your extremities are good you will be fine. So hand/toe warmers, face mask/hat, etc. Tip: Don't allow management to force you into doing anything you feel unsafe doing and I would recommend joining the union! Good look on your employment aspirations!
