You know, EJ and the Menace have talked many times about how Marvel writes put themselves into their Heroes. So Isom was disrespected and his motivation is to beat the person up for their comments. Very Heroic. And Eric, in later streams, feels its okay to shoot someone if they just show up at his business or on his property. He loved the Soska Sisters Black Widow 5 issue run. What does BW do? Goes Rogue. Takes the Law into her own hands. Kills people. I am not a psychologist but there is common theme in Eric's head.
But the comment I like most Ethan makes? These people made their whole TH-cam career critiquing Marvel/DC/Hollywood with relentless, no PC, scathing attacks. And when criticism comes back?

Eric July, as does all of the FNT, Fandom Menace, etc) ALL have the same Debate "strategy". Its like a Card Game to them. A Playbook. You see it in every EJ debate. Deny and Attack. Say nothing. Make the other guy talk. Wait for the misstep or slightly in accurate comment then POUNCE. Pivot the pressure on you and put it on them. Posturing. Dont debate, just ACT like your confident and your lies or fillabuster will be seen as truth.
Or like Az with director X, talks shit, then runs when director X shows up for a debate. Same when Eric ran from a simple conversation with Ethan on Alex Steins show. They run because they know their entire grift will fall apart under the tiniest of scrutiny.

It's not just that Eric couldn't and/or wouldn't explain a basic summary of the plot of his book, but it's also that he got confused by the question and acted like or genuinely thought the person asking him to explain said plot couldn't follow or understand it after reading the book. Just explain what happens in the story. It felt less like a debate between two people and more like Dick was trying to have a debate while Eric was trying to quiz Nick on his knowledge of Isom and look for anything he could pounce on to say Dick was less than 100% accurate about.

I think Eric’s main problem is that he’s not smart, he wants to be, and he surrounds himself with people who tell him he is, but he’s not, he’s in way over his head
Competition for Marvel and DC? A total of 50,000 copies over 4 separate issues is an average of 12,500 copies per issue. That's not competition for anyone. Rekt Planet did amost the exact same, but with EVS, when you purchased RP you got tons of stuff with it without paying extra.
Marvel makes like $300 million per year. anyone that thinks Eric is competition for mainstream comics is legit delusional. put his comics on stores next to Spider-man, Superman, Batman, etc and let's see who will buy it over those.
