The Mosquito has a special place in my heart it's a very sleek beautiful plane, and my great grandmother worked on the assembly line.

I built the previous version of this kit, the MkXVI and found the jig for the undercarriage worked very well. What you need to do is build the undercarriage up before you put the wings together. This means you don't have to struggle getting them in and out of the nacelles as you put them together.

The kit that I had longed for since I saw a colour profile of ine as a kid. Needless to say, I got one as soon as it came out. A great kit.

Looks awesome, RE the blue switch to AK Real Colors, Tamiya, or Mr Color. Thin any of those with Mr Color Leveling Thinner, makes you look like an expert, although I appreciate alcohol based and lacquer based sprays aren't for everyone.

Also, on the One Shot Primer, I used their gloss varnish the other day, 3 days and it still isn't dry, not airy what happened there.

GREAT subject, GOD I wish someone would produce this version in 1/48 or 1/32. EVEN 1/24 if they had the guts to do it.

I have a suggestion about thinning paint. (But TEST this on something you don't need FIRST!!) Buy some 'Mr Color Levelling' Thinner. This is a Laquer thinner, but "Should" thin both enamels and Acrylic paints without any issues - BUT not always. An Alternative - IF Tamiya Lacquers Paints etc are available, use their "Lacquer Thinner with Retarder" Or you can use any Lacquer thinner (Cheaper and add some Tamiya Lacquer Retarder (Comes in a small bottle). Thin the paint until is is about the same consistence of either Skim Milk or even fat free milk. (Ie almost water) This should mist onto the model lightly and you can build up two or 3 coats and still have control over the look of the model's paint. Personally, I use both pre- and post-shading with his technique. But I cannot stress enough how important it is to TEST first - SOME brands of acrylic paint react badly to Lacquer Thinners. Mix a small pot in a disposable cuplet and leave it a few minutes first - it may coagulate into a horrid lump! If not, test in your airbrush but make sure you have a reputable Airbrush cleaner fluid on hand. If all works as normal, you can clean up with the thinner easily enough.

I think adding more thinner to the PR blue from AK could help maybe.
