It was like a wedding n she looked like a doll. I cooked/prepped all the food at home a day early. I did pay an additional time slot fee the the extra time slot prior prior to party to set up my chafing dishes and get my food set up (2hrs) bc they gave me 2 automatically before n after, I paid for the extra prior two, so I had 4 hrs of foo set up. She embarrassed the child and her mother 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ so bad because she was not qualified to get the work done as well as she greatly underbid the food and decor cost for an event that size. As an event planner you keep stock of lenins and decor as well as furniture and props for all different styles. She thought she could order a pack of balloons from Amazon and cook a Sunday dinner for a larger crowd in her kitchen and she flopped. Now the inspiration photos were cute and with the exception of blacklights that would have become part of her inventory as investment, she absolutely could have purchased a large amount of supplies at the dollar store.....she would have had to invest in catering dishes and equipment as well which is another investment for inventory. I think she has no clue.

You can get loads of party supplies, more than you need for cheap.
You just have to order them way in advance.
You can get 100's of glow in the dark balloons for$18.
Again, if you plan far ahead.

Both women were very nice and respectful of each other. I do feel bad for the defendant because the food burned. However you don't order pizza when you are expecting wings and sliders, mac and cheese. I hope that the defendant gets back on her feet because she seems like a good organizer. Glad that the plaintiff got something back. God bless all of you ❤️

    $2,890 for a sweet 16 birthday party?!!
I guess if your parents are wealthy it’s a drop in the hat but to me I would make a deal with my parents for $2,500 in savings for college or for a car and with the $390 be spent for me and my closest 4 friends on a beautiful dinner out at my favourite restaurant.

This is a very common practice with event planners, they will always come up with a plan of last minute screw-ups. This way, the hosts, and the guests will have no choice but accept the fate. This has happened several times to us with event planners. They will show and promise you with all those wonderful pictures when getting the contract, once the contract is done, then it is all their game for the last minute screw-ups.

Mom could have decorated and let family cook the food and hire someone to do the cake. Kudos to her for trying but as a caterer you have to have reserves put up for mishaps. You gotta make sure you please your clients even if your profit gets smaller. You will get better each time just make sure everything is good and don't spend that deposit on yourself. Good reviews and word of mouth gets you more clients.😉

The planner shouldn’t be the cook also. She should have been
At the party managing the set up in the decorations the caterer should’ve been a separate person who was delivering the food, not trying to cook and answer questions about decorating like she was

  • @skrmacs4815

she did not charge enought. this should have cost aproximately 8 thousand depending on the decor and menu in that year.
