    Nice compact system. 👍However, these hifi micro stereo systems are not meant to be used as a "bass machine". If you want such thing, you better buy a boombox or a party speaker. These systems are build to listen to high quality music, like rock or classical music. Not to blow off the roof...

      hi mate, i'm considering this system for a smaller room (4×3m), would it be possible to connect a powered sub (svs sb1000)? thankyou for your help :)

      @@azzabouy8243 Hello there. No it's not possible. This system already has a built in amplifier.

      @@kngkrmson2179 hi, thankyou for your reply. i'm sorry i'm only new to this, i was reading somewhere it may be possible to send signal to the sub and the speakers to it with the idea being the lower frequencies are taken care of leaving the speakers for the higher frequencies. mate do you have any suggestions, thanks again for your reply and help

      @@azzabouy8243 No problem man. This set is quite small, I wouldn't recommend to add a subwoofer. You need more power to add a subwoofer. I think that's also the reason there's no direct option on the main unit to add one. Besides that, you have a small space you say. This thing has more than enough power to fill a living room.

    • @jetstream454
      @jetstream454 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kngkrmson2179It simply doesn't have a subwoofer pre-out. Nothing to do with having an amplifier. Some competing systems (Yamaha, Denon) have a sub pre-out.

    Had one of these system where i work, the amp went on it but i kept the speakers, bought a extra pair of speakers from ebay for cheap, added a infinity primus center speaker and added a DiY woofer made from 2 logitech z5500 bass drivers, and now it makes a killer home theater system.

    • @jetstream454
      @jetstream454 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just be careful running standard speakers, I believe these are designed for only the 3ohm factory speakers.

    • @Bosko423
      @Bosko423 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jetstream454 i wired 2 of the same speakers so basically, 2 of these speakers are in place of 1 on each side wired in a series so right and left pair are now 6 ohm, the diy woofer was replaced with a magnat new omega 380mm woofer (300w power, it blows my old woofer out of the water) still running the infinity system mixed with this one (unless i score another 10 of these pmx beasties then im replacing it fully with just these) atm saving up to replace my 7.1 sony budget STR-DH800, so far 0 issues, what power i loose via the ohm mismatch it makes up with driver surface are (2 speakers insead of 1) so for music and movies its working for me (tho the pmx have a better sharper then the infinity ones, as sayd, still looking for another 10pmx's)

    Don't want to be rude, but this is not "music" to test a Hifi-System, this is flatly produced electronical music, that has no dynamics at all. Try something like "Take Five" from the Dave Brubeck quartet or something to test to hear dynamic range, mids, highs, vocal reproducing and so on. but nevertheless.. thanks a lot for your time and the reviews.

    • @thespkrYT
      @thespkrYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah i guess this music would be better to test it but I don't think my phone microphone would pick up the differences. Thank you :)

    Did you get another one of these as I'm thinking of getting one I've had quite a few panasonic systems and have one now still but it's abit too powerful for my home

      Hello Steven, I've had a lot of Panasonic stereo systems (SA-PM10, SA-PM25, SA-PM27) and this one and my main stereo was an Onkyo TX-SV444 receiver with a CD Player and tape deck but as it is too powerful for my home I now have a Philips MCM760 and MCM7. I didn't get another SC-PMX94 because it might have had the same issues and we lost 20€ because the shop had to sell it as used so I got me a Philips MCM7 for my PC and finally an MCM760 for my main stereo. The PMX94 is a nice stereo, it had DAB+ and all that awesome stuff but for me it didn't work out too well so I can't recommend it even though I really liked it's feautures ;) Have a great day!

      thespkr. Awesome I have an sc-akx660 had it from new in 2017 no faults but its abit too powerful for my flat and at night even when all the bass is turned off it still sounds too bassy so thinking of getting something abit more compact and less powerful but still has a good clarity clear bassy sound

      By the way the dust cap you could of just glued it back in place as they are not magnet speakers just two wires and a piece of metal that's vibrates abit like a smoke alarm or toys and they place a diaphragm over them I had issues with a pa system where the piezo tweeters stopped working and I thought brands like panasonic would of stopped using them I thought it was always a pointless thing anyway to be honest they don't really create much sound I'm thinking of going for the 200w jvc valve amp but will see what happens and I had 3 Phillips hifis a few years back two had the woox technology and one had built in dvd and karaoke function all good except the dvd player one stopped playing dvd and cds properly so got rid of it and I had a sharp was good but the speakers popped after certain volumes and had sony ones too but one the laser packed up after nine months 😁

    Well, the FM tuner and the DAB+ tuner don´t really work. The DAB+ tuner cuts in and out and on the FM tuner there is a lot of buzzing. I think I might buy a used Philips MCM7/12 because this stereo hasn´t got these issues... lol Panasonic what did you do there? idk

    • @thespkrYT
      @thespkrYT  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is the camera. The video was shot in 25 or 30 FPS I think and the crazy thing is that this stereo never distorted. I don't have it anymore tho

    • @jetstream454
      @jetstream454 ปีที่แล้ว

      The "Amp" which does fine for its power, does as good a job as you hear in the video, if not better. If you look closer you'll see the uneven effect in many speaker videos.
