Marines look like they just came out of boot camp. Not fair to be honest. I would like to see drill instructors challenging fitness influencers. That will definitely get a blue thumbs up.
I'd love to see it. Still don't think DIs would have a chance against professional trainers who reached "influencer" status.

Oh give me a break. You're going to put a team of junior enlisted teenagers just barely out of high school who do "organized" PT for about 45 minutes a day up against a team of full-grown men whose full-time jobs are in fitness, and call it a fair competition? How cute. Put some NCOs in the ring - Marines who have actually learned the benefit of prioritizing and incorporating PT in their lifestyle for a few years. Let's make this a real competition. Theoretically, the marines should have flourished then because they are younger, should be in better shape and have access to 24 hour gyms on top of PT.
Additionally, it’s their job to be in shape and overcome any obstacles.

The size differences were very telling!!! Also, Marines can’t sit in the gym all day working on their physique. They are out there keeping our country safe..

I am reading a handful of comments on here, and so far, I agree with what I have read. The influencers are a little bit older than the Marines which means more "training time". Also, the influncers , this is what they do, their job. Marines are to be physically fit but there is so much more to their job. They also don't have time to live in the gym like the influencers. I feel like its not comparing the groups fairly. Lets have the influncers deal with surviving out in the field or at the range. #oorah #marinemom
Now this is just plain stupid. You're going to put up a bunch of influencers who do nothing but workout in an open field? Marines on the other hand need to workout because they are supposed to survive in harsh conditions. Also, Marines may not "live" in the gym but they workout everyday with little to no rest. Compared to influencers who take a lot of rest. So your "Training time" concept is useless
Also not all Marines are Infantry. The stereotypical buff Marine are the ones who are in Infantry. Not Office workers.

Respect to the Marines! They got a lot more jobs to do than just being fit, and I think it would be interesting to see Marines vs Fitness Influencers at a range day as well.
Put a 100+lb pack on the influencers and have them hike 15+miles alongside the devil dogs. Let's see who makes it then. Plus, these devil dogs are pups. They look like they just got out of high school. Put them up against seasoned Marines and see how the tide changes. Semper fi Marines!
well your average fitness influencer probably doesnt shoot guns as often as marine. they both do fitness though and the marines got stomped lmaooo

Yes the influences are very strong, but to be a marine, its not just about how strong you are, but how strong is your will to survive, and getting through dangerous scenarios. Also the influencers all seems a lot older than the marines and not older like oh 40s old, but older as they have been and have had more time to train. But they will all be badass one way or another. Seals and Coast Guard rescue swimmers are a different breed than all these guys.
Why mention seals or rescue swimmers? Who gives a shit

They didn’t pick the best guys from a company. Hell some Marines in my company were running 3 miles in 15:30s and myself 17:00.

Marines are trained for long term endurance and stress. These young Marines barely look like they were past athletes but besides Boot camp are new to this.Aim sure the purposefully did not get a top notch established Marine.Aim sure the other trainers most are on test.
I would like to see a pt2 edition where they run a USMC obstacle course and have to operate in teams to accomplish things. It would certainly help if the Marines were not very clearly 5-10 years younger than the "influencers". As a civilian (and college educated Fitness Trainer), anybody who knows anything knows that teamwork and practice is where the US Military excels.
That said, it's a fun theme and idea with a plethora of updated completion options.

What a great competition not trying to be biased or anything but the marines probably have better combat skill and more Tactical knowledge than the influencers as they can solely focus on their workouts

These Marines are probably 18 years old and haven’t done much in the way of exercise prior to boot camp. It definitely wasn’t a fair competition as the influencers look to be all In their prime physical age range. That being said it was still entertaining. Nothing against the influencers as they just competed against who was in front of them.

Remember, fitness isn't the hardest thing in the Marine Corps, especially for green teenagers fresh out of highschool, Basic in the Marine Corps is much harder mentally than physically.

All three are Motor T operators, don’t know why they all didn’t mention their 3531 MOS in the beginning.
All this tells us is that standards are too low in the US military. I thought they were too low in my time, but things have gotten worse.
That's a fact. Soldiers are soft these days. And this is coming from a Soldier. They look at you like your crazy when you actually train like a soldier.(02am rucks/Runs without being instructed to.)

Strength is a small portion to serving. The biggest part is knowing your job. To carry it out well in a time of crisis. Military don't work out all day. We get up in the morning, do our PT and off to our jobs. Fitness influencers, that's their job, fitness. This outcome is not surprising. Im Army vet but these Marines did well. WHOAA!!!
