- Car enthusiasts have benefited tremendously from the internet. Creatively pushing enthusiasts to new limits and inspiring others to express themselves artistically. The internet has also exposed commonalities and certain things you would expect from a particular area of region of where the car is built. As with anything, being inspired to what's around us, you can expect a car from the West Coast to be clean and one from the East to be fast, by commonality.
With that said, trends come and go, and as big as the Honda community is, most branch off to certain trends or styles of the community itself and areas particularly known for certain trends. When you think of New York we are almost certain nothing "major" rings a bell, if you're fond of the internet you may have heard about the fast cars and that's the beauty of the internet itself.
Exposing things you may never seen or heard of, of course the potholes, winter season's and diversity, but nothing major on a Honda enthusiast can associate or point out. It's not particularly a dream to drive neither, unless you seriously know how to drive. Jismark's EG is a prime example of something that stands out, appeals to all enthusiasts of all areas. It represents NYC for what it is, fast, witty, and well rounded (pun intended). Appealing to all branches and classes of the culture. If you've never seen his car circulating on the internet, allow Honda Day to be the first to show.

Oh yeah you need a cage! It helps a TON with chassis flex (better cornering, etc) and adds a huge safety margin over a non-caged Civic. Once you get over 400hp in something that light, a cage is a really good idea, or at least a roll-bar.
And once you start running quick at the drags, you need the cage just to run.
So yeah, it's a good thing to have!

hey I see where you're coming from, the 300zx used variable valve timing with the vg30 engines and sometimes having a small displacement low hassle balanced b or k series honda engine is nice. After having to work on my old twin turbo nissan, having a tuned honda is probably pretty rewarding. don't hate, honda wasn't the first to use vvt but their sales due to it are notable.
N00b. I never knew much about Hondas even though they're my fav Japanese car manufacturer, and I even knew what an EG, EE, or EK etc was.

NYC State of Grind
The EG chassis is mosty RHD, which is was not sold in the North America. Every one calls the 5gen Hatch an EG as street name. I do think some 5th gens did get the EG code but they were sedans (might be wrong on that).
I can say this is the sickest eg i have ever layd eyes on cant wait till i get mine:):):)

some thing exactly like that including motor work and body work can run any where from 10gs and up depending if your doing all the work yourself and if your buying new or used parts

actually.. newer DSG style automatic transmissions with dual clutch assemblies are often getting faster than possible with their manual counterparts.

this thing is bad ass my buddy used to have a CRX that ran 9's on the 1/4 mile he just put a twin turbo set up on an integra engine and dropped it in that was a ricer but dwam!!!

How do you get the car to have that deep sound right after start up? Does the motor have to be completly rebuilt?
no sir, i have no strange ideas what automatics are defined as. thus being i have the credentials and experience from vw/audi, mitsubishi, toyota, nissan regarding their transmissions. ive built them, repaired them, serviced them and modified them. been doing this for a living for over 10 years so im pretty sure i know the difference between an automatic, and a manual transmission. if youd like to talk more on it, i can explain how sequential dog boxes are even faster than dsg boxes aswell?

Understood, you can't get it in the backseat( watched vid again ). I guess the point i still am trying to make is why is it that there are so many honda's (civics mainly) that fully gut there cars to become bike like!....and all am looking for is because the lack of torque...( asked another civic owner...)
To be fair though, a lot of 8-9 second cars use some kind of automatic gearbox, but it's not your normal sort of auto, I think they're designed for drags.

Very very nice EG civic.
actually, dsg transmissions are manual. not automatic. theres no valve body relying on line pressure to engage a gear change. A dsg style gearbox is a manual trans with 2 clutches. one for 1-3-5 the other for 2-4-6. two gears are engaged at all times. the shift occurs when switching clutches. so no sir, there still is no advasntage to an auto transmission, as dsg is really a manual transmission.

im turning 17 on the 28th and i plan to get my first car i PLAN to get a 92-94 eg hatch and do a swap i was thinking of a k20 or k24 others have told me to save a lil bit more money and get a H2B is it worth it???? Pros/Cons???

Well sadly its true due to the fact theres no miss-shifts with an automatic, youre not wasting time shifting and you have no time off the gas pedal. The only time a manual is better than auto in drag is if you have a 2-4 speed transmission or if you truly know when your car stops making power and the rpms are just increasing.
this wheels are ROTA SHAKOTAN on my 02 ep3 are 16"by 9" wide,,,the ones on that EG they look like 15" by ??,,,they are good wheels

I refer to anything with it's body in stock configuration as having a "stock body".
Light-weight panels serve purpose. Body kits and massive wings on 125hp riced out shit-boxes serve no purpose except to scrape the asphalt every time you hit a bump.
What's the difference, EH doesn't have side mouldings & eg does?
