  • Hi everyone!
This video is the seventh in the series of Stephen Moore reading the Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy series of books, by Douglas Adams. Specifically this is side 3 of the tapes of The Restaurant at the End of the Universe!
Stephen Moore played Marvin the Paranoid Android in the original radio series and the subsequent TV series, as well as many other characters e.g. Gag Halfrunt. This, coupled with his all-round excellent reading voice, make these a joy to listen to.
As a child I heard the radio series, consumed all the books, and eventually discovered these audio books on cassette tapes in my school library and devoured them all. But of course had to return them.
I recently began to wonder if they were still available. It transpired that they had never been re-released on more up-to-date media and were, I discovered, quite hard to get hold of.
This was the reason then to make these videos - to preserve these charmingly told versions of an unparalleled series of books. My channel is not monetised and I am making no money from this and I would humbly request if anyone does have claim to the copyright, please make a claim on TH-cam for monetisation, but please do not block them. In this way future generations can continue to enjoy them.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this.
    Dr Alex
