There is nothing more amazing than software fluidity on a smartphone. That is why the Nexus, iPhones, HTC Ones and Xperia Zs are always the best phones you can possibly get!
I'm an iPhone guy, but I love this phone. Stock android is awesome, plus the simplistic look of this device. My friend got one, and it's amazing how similar iOS and Stock android is.
GSM version Unlocked will work in countries like KSA, Dubai, Bahrain with 3g/4g ? if you buy from Amazon does it include international warranty? Google Nexus 5 supports CyanogenMod?

I absolutely love my Nexus 5. Got the Storm Trooper. Its seem less. The design is clean and sleek. I have a minimalist style so its a great look for me. The OS is AWESOME!!! Google really made this one tight. 95% of everything works the way I want it to. A few components need work, but I don't use them as much. I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile. Couldn't be more pleased with that decision.

Just a heads up to all Nexus 5 buyers: This phone's screen breaks EASILY! Buy a cover for this phone if you haven't already and be careful with it, I broke mine 5 days after I got it after it fell from a 2 foot height! It costs over 100 euro to fix so dont be like me! Just a heads up, hope I helped!
I always wanted one. I got one for cheap on eBay brand-new in a box. Once it's done updating itself for a few hours it's a decent phone with a very minimalistic feeling. I use my V20 as a daily driver. My V20 is light years ahead of it as the Nexus 5 as it's based on the G2.

I think this is the first video I've seen of yours and when you flipped the phone over in the video and there you were that was awesome! I haven't seen anyone else do that, so that was great to see.

One question.... Considering the fact that both Sony Z1 & Nexus 5 come at no cost on a 2 year plan from various network providers, which one of these 2 is a BETTER PHONE considering the multimedia (gaming, videos, music) point of view and why?
Already using Nexus 4 and I am very impressed. I sure nexus 5 experince will be much better. Well....can't wait to own one.

Got the nexus 5 last week have to say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Absolutely amazing phone and at a great price. I'm mean why wouldn't you buy it?

Loved the review! Android Authority, could you please make a video comparison between the Nexus 5 and the LG G2? Because Google wants the Nexus 5 to be a flagship device, but it's also LG, and LG also wants the G2 to compete in the top tier phones. I wish I could see the differences between them, specially on the camera! (With the 4.4.2 update on Nexus 5, of course). Thank you!
I have a nexus 5 and I found a disappointing feature.
When the screen shows dark images you can notice the backlight gets brighter in the top left corner. what is more, of you rotate the phone in landscape, putting the left corner as your bottom one, you can visibly notice that the whole left side (the actual bottom one if in portrait) is brighter, regardless you are watching something brought or dark.
Can you tell me if it's something you found in your nexus 5 as well or should I ask for a replacement?

How long are these things expected to last? I want to get one but don't want to be replacing it within a year as I've had to with a couple of HTC phones.
I bought this phone yesterday as my first smart phone. I love it! I don't know why so many people dog on the camera. It's really not that bad. Sure it's not a Nikon or a Canon but it's a decent camera.. I think Samsung's saturation has something to to with this.
Dude im a heavy user my self but when i use my nexus 5 it only goes up to 4hours max.... Is this normal

Is the screen slightly washed out? I demoed one at the T mobile store and the screen looked washed out. Is that normal? Maybe I'm just used to Samsung screens?

I was wondering if the battery comes out easily because the one or more released after mine does not. I have had to remove the battery too many times for one reason or another not to be concerned.Also when I got this one I was told there was so much storage in it that I would not use it up.Well,I have. It keeps telling me I am too low to add more.Also,is there a removable chip?Thanks
Had mine for 3 years and it's still awesome 😀 Not a single problem with it. They made it to good for the price haha

One thing is seriously bugging me.. does the screen has a bluish tint like amoled? The display tech is IPS LCD and I have HTC ox which has SLCD2.. are the colors in nexus 5 warmer like HOX or cooler like Amoled? I'd prefer it to be warmer btw..

Don't know whether to buy this phone or the LG G2.... I do want the stock android experience, however the battery and the camera of the G2 attract me to it. How do the speakers sound when you play audio? Also, how's the camera's picture quality?
knifeforkandaspoon the speakers definitely could be better, they don't go horribly loud, but, it's a sharp clear sound, and its good for me because I don't need stuff too loud. The camera quality is beautiful! The picture is so crisp and clear, you can easily read text on a picture. The colour accuracy is better on an iPhone though, you'll get more accurate colours on an iPhone, but that's a small price to pay for an overall superior phone. It's also incredibly fast, and despite it's size, its fits very comfortably in the hand, and it's super thin :) would definitely recommend it

knifeforkandaspoon I would definitely recommend it! But, first make sure that you can switch your phone within a certain amount of time before you decide you like it. My cell company, Bell, gave me a 2 week trial wherein I can change devices as many times as I want as long as I return the old one to them unharmed and wiped of data. But I'm sure you'll love it!

Overall I really do love this phone, but one thing that really make me pause for a sec is the battery life. Seriously people? Was it really that quick the battery dead? Im not a heavy user, this phone really attract me but i was hoping the battery life can survive for a full day with an average use. Any comment please?

It's the unlocked price, basically you can use it with wichever carrier you want.

kevin oira It's the cash price.. You have no need of making any contract! it's the only base price of the phone, you need to pay taxes separately. I have bought 32 GB model which is priced at 399$, I have to pay shipping+taxes and total goes to around 442$. but the phone is truly nice for the amount you pay.

What is your definition of bad battery? My phone has terrible battery so it goes from 100% to 0 or like 3% from let's say 6am-4pm, and I don't even have to be on it the whole time. So. Compared to my battery, how it the Nexus' 5 battery? I'm curious because I might get it.

Under the Google Settings app, disable "Location History" and "Location Reporting". Google Play Services has an enormously bad deal with wake-locks. This has been causing lower battery life than needed.
Expensive here in malaysia. Add a little more and you can get the note 3 or htc one.
I'm definitely getting the nexus 5, I just wish the battery was a little better

Nexus 5, although it's at the end of software support (No more updates after Marshmallow), the development community for Nexus devices is thriving and this phone will continue to live in for a long time.

Can nexus 5 users confirm to me about this. So i was going to buy a nexus 5 since i like the idea of stock android and google device and software. However one issue that stops me from buying is that i read some current threads on forums about the call quality is bad. Sometimes the phone ignore income call and would not display it as missing call. Also the quality of the sound seems hard to hear when calling. Can anyone with Nexus 5 tell me about this?

Watching this from my Nexus 5. Completely agree that the battery life is less than great, but going from the 5s to this, it's nice to have a full Hd screen, descent camera, amazing speed and stellar connection by being unlocked all for 350.
