Renee, this is as much fun for us as it is for you. That green and blue checked blanket is gorgeous! The shoes 👞👟 👠 are great! Would love to see the clothes too (and everything else lol) Taco and you are great together because you are for each other. 🤗😊
Boy the homeowners were quite organized in their storage! Renee, you can't have too many slippers! Glad you took them . Hope you wore them when you had a big bowl of chili😊😊😊
Im from a small town in Ontario Canada and just found your channel. I love watching you in action. We used to go out on trash day and hunt for goodies too! My youngest brother once excitedly brought a box home convinced he had a treasure and it turned out to be full of grass clippings! We laughed over that! Keep on with the shoes, maybe 50 years from now someone will discover your retro shoes and love it! Hopefully i will catch up to your newer hunts!
On my old Lane ceder chest the key button must be pushed in to unlatch after unlocking it. Mine still works but I've never seen a key, I can turn it with a dime. This clean out has provided great content! Bless you and Taco!
Hi Renee I’d love all blankets from 70-80-90s you know because many those was great quality and made in USA linen like sheets very colorfully very cute pieces if it was close I would go to flea market to you and get it all to me but I m far so just looking your videos I’m satisfied! Thanks for sharing this kind of videos greetings from California 🤚😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
Great video, Renee. I love to watch the clean outs with you and Taco together. I love the furniture. How many shoes did you wind up finding for yourself? Several I hope. There's a lot of cool blankets there, also. Enjoyed the video as usual. Have a wonderful day and God bless you. 🙏🙂❤️🙂🙏
Hi Renee. WOW! That is a lot of shoes. I know of people who have a great show collection. Sneakers are the best collection in the world. I had fun again. It does not matter who loves slipper 🥿 socks 🧦. I am so glad you were there to help with the cleanout. God Bless you Renee. Please stay safe my friend. Hope to see more cleanouts and Flea Market shopping. Take care. Maria. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥿🥿🥿🥿🧦🧦🧦😇😇😇😇😇😷😷😷😷😇😇😇😷😷😷
Awesome video,, omg u do the same as me besides cooking chili u go home to put on Comfy clothes on to do things around the house.. too funny!! Enjoy ur chili
Found a very heavy closed cedar chest ? Welcome to the precious metals and jewelry vault of this household 😂 ! Fancy slippers, ESPRIT was your right (french) prononciation, Renée. Greets from GER, U.
I got some books in bad shape out of a dumpster. They are great for practicing crafts and trying new things. I even like broken jewelry because I can sometimes use it to repair old costume jewelry I have. I am wearing ratty clothes because I'm cooking dinner. Nice clothes are for going out. Stay warm. Those old blankets and shoes will keep you warm and comfortable. Tina, Al's wife
Sometimes if you slide the round lock to the right it will open the lid (to the Lane cedar chest). I'm pretty sure that's how my mom's opened. No key needed. If that doesn't work, try pushing the lock/button inward.
yes. take the shoes! Keep the ones that fit you, even if you only wear them occasionally. If they are in good order, as these seem to be, kept in boxes, in a closet. You can sell shoes on ebay too. Apparently it is a shoe marketplace (less fvf paid for shoes). Quality shoes are like jewelry, you can never have too many! As long as you have closet space anyway. You could always sell them later if you change your mind, money in the bank.
They were called Mukluks (SP?) where I grew up on the border of Canada (think Duluth or International Falls the Lake Superior region.) There were kits to make them back in the 50's and 60's I remember. it included the soles leather or pleather and the lacings to attach the tops to them. You picked your yarn pattern and made them. The bottoms had plush linings. If I remember correctly some of us (naming no names) would buy really good wool socks and attach them uncut over the bottom plush. Very warm and extra socks when it got really cold. They were great in our older drafty houses and cabins. Also check on the pricing for wool blankets. I think a lot of them were wool and great for winter. You might want to keep a couple for your winters.
Love seeing vintage things. And all of the shoes I seen a few pairs that I like but wrong size 😔. That chest (lane) I don’t think you need a key I hope you one of you get it. Can’t wait for the next one 😊
@@PaperandMoose Since you know the maker of the chest.. I'll bet their website even describes to lock or mechanism. And based on Tacos past experience opening latches on old suitcases... sometimes the latches throw him a curve
Loving this clean out! You are having so much fun. Just going thru things is a lot of fun. My hubs will buy me a bag of jewelry or buttons and I will go over them time and time again. Just love looking at it. Stay safe love ya baby girl! ♥️😘💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌞🌿🪴🌷🌻🌼🐦🐦🐦🌲🌳✌️👶
Awesome video - thank you! I loved hearing your insight as to finding "treasures". Yes, treasure isn't always gold and silver and yup, finding something that you'd enjoy having or using can also be a joy, as well. The steamer trunk, the green one, is great to store some treasures. I keep a good part of my comic book collection in the few that I have. You have to get that cedar chest carefully open! Probably has some clothes or blankets that stood protected due to the cedar. Fingers crossed that it's some old, incredible 'stuff'. Thanks again for the great visit.
Yes, the big score would be great, but I personally love finding things, that I can keep and take the rest to the flea market. Here it snowed too, so hopefully next saturday and will stay dry ...
This house is so giving! I am so glad I am not there! 🤣 You are both so lucky. I am really enjoying watching this clean out from both you and Taco's videos. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤❤
The shoes that don’t sell at the flea market, can you claim? Easier for you to take them home than for Taco repack them up and make a run to the thrift store. You deserve whatever shoes catch you tapping toes. Thanks for sharing the fun.
When I cleaned out my Mother's house it was all about the little things for me too!! Certain cards, papers my Dad had, yearbooks, it's like that that meant the most to me!!!❤❤❤ And of course photos!!!
You are so fortunate to be able to work with “Taco 🌮 Stacks” and spend your time doing what you love. Thank you for sharing these very fun adventures. Oh, how I wish I could explore in an old East Coast attic!! ♥️
This got me thinking I haven’t bought new pair of shoes out of a store in about 30 years. I used to collect antique blankets, maybe I still do. Besides trade blankets I looked for homespun ones done on small looms and then sewn together I collect coverlets too
Renee I have a little truck and my work colleagues are always pulling fun on what I find. It will be having the last laugh when it all turns into a home. Life’s short you got to enjoy.
Hey Rene! No you can never have enough shoes! At your age I had colored shoes to match each outfit! I would usually find a pair of shoes that I would have to have, then buy an outfit to match! LOL You found some great shoes. TFS Hugs!
Those slipper socks are a great find. Slipper socks were a good Christmas present. Back in my days as a kid the floors were cold. Putting those slippers on made the mornings go bette. They warmed up cold feet after being outside. The whole family wore them. It was sad when the cushy bottom inside wore out. Often they were passed on to the next kid. I missed them when they no longer could be found for purchase.
Hello Renee. I’m glad you’re finding some great things for yourself. It’s fun . Some of the shoes are so adorable. I’m amazed of the quality in them still. But I like seeing all the things you find . Take care. 🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️🕵🏼♀️☕️🫖☕️🫖🥰🥰🥰💯💯💯💯💯
I must say, those people seemed to kept their belongings, shoes, stuffed animals, etc. in good condition! It all seems to be well taken care, I hope you and Taco have great luck at the flea market! ✌🏼❤️
I consider the little things I have gotten from family members my treasures. I have things like my grandma's vintage planters. Having things like that mean a lot to me.
I sure hope that the shoes and clothing that you both don't want either for yourselves or to sell are being donated to a homeless shelter. If not by you and Taco Stacks then by the family of the owner of this home. The homeless are not to particular about their footwear and clothing I would imagine. You two are finding some really cool things. I would love to be able to go into a home like this and just get all the cool stuff, to me anyway, that I wanted to keep. I would be in heaven. I am not a reseller just a collector of old things that I like.
I would imagine that some of the customers who buy shoes from TS for $5 a pair turn around and put them on eBay or Poshmark for $30 or $40. They may or may not make a sale, but they're willing to hold on to a lot of stock for a long time. If TS did that, he'd need ten warehouses.
You may know this, but rub candle or beeswax on the drawer sides/tracks to help get them closed. 💗 the green & navy blanket, and I always pronounced it 'espree', as well. 👍
I had a cedar chest with that knob on it, turn the knob to the right, it's probably not locked. You may as well take all the shoes, he's not interested in them, he said he'd donate them.
Taco laughing at your blue slipper’s, how dare he. ❤️🏴
Thank you so much for smile.😊
I agree Renee , it’s the unexpected little things that make treasure hunting fun!! Thanks for taking us along!
Renee, this is as much fun for us as it is for you. That green and blue checked blanket is gorgeous! The shoes 👞👟 👠 are great! Would love to see the clothes too (and everything else lol) Taco and you are great together because you are for each other. 🤗😊

Yeah, I just push the button in REAL hard!
The green blanket would be great for Christmas.
Enjoyed going along..🥰🥰
Great clean out. Old houses are just special.
Great clean out Little Sprite
lots of cool shoes. I would have taken them for myself too.
I love things like the shoes now thatakesme 😊

My weakness, shoes and purses. I would have been in that closet for hours. Really have enjoyed this series of videos.

I really liked the little boots and the slide ins. Especially the green ones, the boots and the Sperry/Docksides! Not sure which brand they were.
Thank you❤
This is all interesting. I’m really enjoying this clean out. 😊
I love seeing anything from the 70s and 80s!
If you rub a candle on the side of the drawers. Make it real smooth. Make them slide easier.
The blankets with the silk strip around them they say sells for lot’s on ebay you may want to check them out
Great shoe score! Hope you are feeling better too.
Hope you get warm soon! That green plaid blanket sure looked like it would have been warm around your knees & legs!
I Heard The Crunch In Those Shoes.🥾👟👞
Just love these videos and all you two have found. Some great items and lots of fun for us watching.

Those slipper socks bring back memories of my child hood!

Loved the green shoes, you should keep them
I would absolutely LOVE going through that house!! And finding all those neat little things. Love your videos!
Again so much fun to be with you on all the fun finds !! Thank you so much 😊
Love those brown retro shoes, blue & green blanket & the 2 peach color blankets! My Mom had the peach ones & they were wool. Great video! 💖
Love seeing vintage things. And all of the shoes I seen a few pairs that I like but wrong size 😔. That chest (lane) I don’t think you need a key I hope you one of you get it. Can’t wait for the next one 😊
A viewer said that the lock might just need a push to the right & it might open. We'll try that the next time we are at the house!

I hope you get the cedar chest open…MCM Lane furniture sells extremely well!
I always liked the matching jewelry boxes.

I’m the same way I love finding vintage toys stickers, puzzles coloring books anything that brings me back to childhood is fun!
Find a pair of boots for Taco to wear in the winter instead of sneakers!
This house is so giving! I am so glad I am not there! 🤣 You are both so lucky. I am really enjoying watching this clean out from both you and Taco's videos. Please stay safe and be careful! ❤❤
I love your videos and the clean out are great too.

Subtitle: Renee finds her new shoe wardrobe. Those were which-toe-does-it-fit for me, but at least somebody scored.
When I cleaned out my Mother's house it was all about the little things for me too!! Certain cards, papers my Dad had, yearbooks, it's like that that meant the most to me!!!❤❤❤ And of course photos!!!
Ok the lane cedar chest press the lock button in. That's how mine opens
Some awesome old shoes

Renee, you look like you were having fun. Some great shoes..Red wings are very good& expensive.👍🥰🧞♀️💞🌴☮
I have a Lane cedar chest & to open mine you "turn" the lock clockwise & kinda move it to the right. Try that.
Great vid x
Hey Rene! No you can never have enough shoes! At your age I had colored shoes to match each outfit! I would usually find a pair of shoes that I would have to have, then buy an outfit to match! LOL You found some great shoes. TFS Hugs!
what a shoe score!
On the Lane cedar chest, push in FIRMLY on the lock, then lift the lid.

LoL! Fooled me, I thought...oh, she has an editor?
Nine West and Mootsies Tootsies I believe were Payless Shoe brands
The cat tote bag is sweet.
The lane Cedar chest could be picked with A paper clip the lock

A lot of Lanes have a slot in the back of lid where key can be stored.
Easy Spirit's
I must say, those people seemed to kept their belongings, shoes, stuffed animals, etc. in good condition! It all seems to be well taken care, I hope you and Taco have great luck at the flea market! ✌🏼❤️
So, how many pairs of shoes did you save from the flea market 🤔 lol
I consider the little things I have gotten from family members my treasures. I have things like my grandma's vintage planters. Having things like that mean a lot to me.

I have a few items that might interest you. But can't find where to send them to.
I have lots of slippers, you just cant have too many, it's like sunglasses
Imagine the fun had shopping for them! They weren’t to wear 😉
All the names of those shoes took me back to the 90's! I had a few of them.
I have a Lane chest and you have to push in the button and lift the lid at the same time…or maybe it’s locked.
Great content. It doesn't matter what you find.
Too funny I’m the same go home to put on my comfy clothes to do things around the house.. enjoy ur chili
I have my comfy work clothes that I wear when I'm working around the house!
🤫 on those Lane chests, the locks are easy to pick. Had to do that when our keys were lost.
“Renee ….one for me……two for me”…….”he’s not fun”…….sounds like a old married couple…….
😂😂😂
Can’t wait!
Love your channel and you
Dancing shoes should go on ebay. There's a real market for them cos they are expensive new.
Hi Renee, why do people just walk away from there lives like this
I would imagine that some of the customers who buy shoes from TS for $5 a pair turn around and put them on eBay or Poshmark for $30 or $40. They may or may not make a sale, but they're willing to hold on to a lot of stock for a long time. If TS did that, he'd need ten warehouses.
My sister wore Esprit & Guess in high school. I just wore clothes.
Wish you would have shown more of the shoes
You may know this, but rub candle or beeswax on the drawer sides/tracks to help get them closed. 💗 the green & navy blanket, and I always pronounced it 'espree', as well. 👍
7:25 Enzo, very expensive, look vintage.
The vintage “new in package” linens sell SUPER WELL on eBay! $$$$$
Are you selling the dog with the lip. I have looked for one for my 1st great grandson. His dad loved his when he was young. He said it protected him.
Surely someone can pick the lock on the Lane chest, I’m pretty sure their locks are not too complicated. ✌🏼❤️
Is he your brother our relative? He seems to respond to you that way! Lol
I had a cedar chest with that knob on it, turn the knob to the right, it's probably not locked. You may as well take all the shoes, he's not interested in them, he said he'd donate them.
