You are absolutely right! I've been wondered why no one talks about possible new areas like this. People are just complaining about small updates, ugly clothings, or they are giving us too much new horses. I don't really mind about those, because I know they will someday give us a big new area which I am so excited about. For example we can see that green area in trailer loading screen, and far away there is Silverglade castle. The castle is facing north, to Northlink. So that picture gotta be the new area. Why else they would make a drawn a non existent area? So they have been designing that area already for a while. Maybe not as the main project, but as a side project. And SSO said, they are gonna update already existing areas first. That's great, there is so many places on the map that needs an upgrade. And Big Bonny even mentioned an area called ''Everdale'' in saving Anne quests. Possible spoiler about the name of new area? So I think we are gonna get a small new area this year like last year, and it's probably Devil's Gap, because that certain area is related Dark riders such as Katja, who kidnapped James in Starshine legacy, and took him to Devil's gap. We even got that concept art about her. Starstable even hinted at the end of the 2019: ''We'll se a lot more Soul riders next year, and as well some of the DARKer characters in our story.'' That can only mean updated Dark riders and new storyquests with them! Also, when they updated Harvest Countries last summer, they didn't update the map, but did Goldenhills's. I guess if they release the Devil's Gap and maybe update Jarlaheim this year, it is so big part of the area, so it's easier to update the map at once. If they will give us new quests, update older areas and buildings this year, give a small new area, they will release actual new area at least by 2022. It takes a lot of time to design the area, make storyquests and the graphics. But I think it's worth it. Our patience will be rewarded someday. They have only about 170 workers at there, and not even half of them design game areas. They are doing amazing work there, and I think we should appreciate, that and not complain about every single thing which you don't like in the game. They can't pleasure all of us at the same time. :)
Many good points! The team is definitely doing a great job, and I love the updated Jorvik! And sure, some updates are smaller and sometimes we feel like we don't get what we've paid for (I sometimes feel that too), but I'm sure that they have a lot of side projects for the game that they can't tell us about. I do actually consider making a video about the horse releases too, but instead of complaining or saying what I want them to do, I would question what would be the ideal release rate to meet the needs of both the players and the team.

The other is that same trailer loading screen pic but it's larger, amd other where you can see those flowers and river, it could as well be Everdale's concept art. Unfortunately I’m just drooling over the current western loading screen wishing such a place existed, with the shallow lake pass and the beautiful mountains 😍. If the lush green area in the loading screen was added I’d be so happy.

I swapped the word "released" in the video title to "opened up" because a lot of people were commenting how I was wrong because Starshine Ranch was released first. While that is true, my focus in this video was on the greyed out parts of the map, and I was therefore not considering overhauls of existing areas.
Didn’t the mayor of Jarlaheim say that he wanted to open devil’s gap? And then something about witches lurking in there but he don’t believes in witches so that’s why he wants to open the gates? And I remember that Ylva said Ashland is a part of our story quests and it might take years before we can get in there.

My theory is that they'll expand the map to full Jorvik. I saw in the Soul Riders book, jorvik calling, the map they had was only Southwest Jorvik. So.. Jorvik may be way bigger than we thought! Which mean they'll expand the island so the playable area (This includes the greyed out areas) aren't all of Jorvik. Thanks for reading!
Yes, but that would definitely take ages!! If it took them... say 5 years to design the areas we have now, excluding the updating areas and other updates, who knows how long the full map could take. Jorvik is huge, at least with maps I’ve seen. But hopefully, it’d be so fun to explore the full area!

Hmm. I always thought that valley was part of Winterdale since no name was listed. Re-looking at the map it does seem to be its own little area closed off by mountains though. It makes sense regarding recent storylines that that valley would be the next release. Although like you said it’s not likely to happen for at least another year. I would say 2022 but since they walled off large portions of it to prevent players from spying on their work, it’s possible they’ve done more to the area than what we know. I would love to see the Winterdale area released too since it was a cool place that played a huge part in Starshine Legacy, but considering it doesn’t seem like anything currently exists in game that far north, it seems like this Mystical Valley will be a release by itself and Winterdale won’t happen anytime soon. I actually think Ashland was supposed to have been released already due to the ⛔️ warning sign and the message pointing out the obvious fact that the road to Ashland is blocked. It seems to me that they were preparing for it’s release but then plans changed and work on Ashland stopped.
Yes, I don't think we will see Winterdale for quite some time yet, unfortunately, because it's still off the map. After mystic valley, I believe they will fill out the other holes on the map before expanding it. My immediate guess is that 2024 is the earliest possibility for Winterdale to be released, but realistically it'll probably be later - we need to remember that there are more areas up north that could be released first, depending on the storyline.
SSO has mentioned a few times that Ashland is currently just a placeholder for something else. What that something is, we don't know yet! However that confirms some sort of new area will be put there one day
Reasons why Mystic Valley is I think next after wildwoods: 1. Ashland is going to be something else and it's too small for a new area 2. Devils gap will probably come with the updated Jarlheime 3. We still have like 95% of Jorvik city but it's probably coming with reason 2. 4. The fridge door/ufo places are there and are connected to that place
I have a theory too. I remember what Evergray said about his absence, the time, when the druids banished him. He said that he was in a really abandoned, bleak land and metaphorically he literally told us, that he was in Ashland. I think he mentioned the ash too. And yeah, he mentioned witches too, that refers to the witches cave in dino valley. Maybe he locked them in there... And also, in Ashland we can see a lonely house. I think he lived there. I really think this is true because he said that he was living far North. And he referred that place as hell-like, I think because of the volcano there. Maybe he said something about a cold, abandoned valley that surrounded him too... But I'm not sure of this one.

i have a theory (i guess? idk it’s just my thoughts) to add on to this. we know that sso released ‘smaller’ areas every year up until mistfall, and mystic valley is roughly the same size as about 2/3 mistfalls. i wouldn’t be surprised if they release mystic valley in 2021 or (very unlikely due to the work they’ve done on it in the past years) 2022. i think mystic valley will link with the story of devil’s gap since dark core’s hq is in mystic valley and devil’s gap is where garnok is supposedly locked away. it would make sense. just a thought, though. Edit: (Just an add on) and by 2021 i mean around autumn/christmas, not in the summer or spring
For me, I am confused about ashland. When you glitch into it you don't get a Closed-Off Area warning, you simply get a message on your screen that says "The road is not safe. Turn back..". It's like sso *wants* you to glitch in there. **insert thinking emoji**
Yes, that is coming tomorrow, but it's not exactly a "new area" cause it's a part of firgrove that is just being updated and improved. The video was specifically meant for areas that are closed off and unaccessible as of today Although, if they keep updating and giving us new things in existing areas, they may push back the actual new areas 🤔🤔🤔

My name is Elizabeth in the game.. think about that 😂😂😂. Very hard seeing the result of the Elizabeth in the game through that quest. It’s always been weird for me with the story line quests cause Elizabeth is always there and I get confused whether or not their talking to me or the actual Elizabeth in the game

I totally agree with you! I also have always found it very weird that they would pause on making the new areas just to update the rest, while the map still has holes in it. I am so excited for the new areas! And you do NOT have enough subs or views. This is such a well-made video!

6:22 Actually, I tried to glitch there with my friend and she ended up in this forest. But I accidentally fell under the ground and was stuck here for a while xD After some minutes, it threw me into a really beautiful place ( it kinda looked like mistfall, because there were similar trees ), but you couldn't get here because it was behind some mountains. I think that if we wanted to glitch in that area, they wanted us to see only the forest and not the rest ( for example the place where i was ), so they added mountains all around the forest. I don't know if it makes sense, hope you understand xD
I feel like the soulriding update is something to keep us players occupated with but also widen the story with until starstable is ready to release the new area or at least new quests that will mention it. I love the video btw! You got a new subscriber ;)
Sso recently said they were "taking a break" over the summer, and they would come back stronger and better before with better and bigger updates. Maybe this could mean Devil's Gap, and the opening of Mystic Valley in the new year?
I think this year we won’t get a new area, but in 2021 we will get Cape Point, Kallters Village and Misty valley. Because in the story they are connected( in Misty Valley we can see Alex). But this year we will only get quests, area updates, new horses, (maybe character update). So if we can wait, this will be amazing. Patience is the key!🥰🐴
They are probably working on a lot of things behind the scenes all the time, but they will probably open all of Wildwoods first and possibly Devils gap during the next Galloper Thompson quest before Mystic Valley. Mystic Valley might have been what they planned to open, but could have possibly taken longer than expected so that Wildwoods might had to come first

Which is why I'm kind of sceptical of this whole Northern Jorvik thing that's going around. A lot of people say how it's a hint about Mystic Valley, but if Mystic Valley is Northern Jorvik, then what are the areas further up north?
When you travel to the secret druid place (can't think of what it's called off the top of my head) you end up in mystic valley ( on the map at least) you can jump off the edge where the portal is and before you teleport back up saying you have taken a dangerous fall or you have entered a restricted area you can see that the textures have been updated recently. My guess is that the area is unlocked as one of the druids quests, especially with the druids paddock being updated just recently
Im really sad ashland has been abandoned. Dino valley was one of my favorite areas. (Kinda unpopular opinion as I've recently found) but the music and atmosphere of it was extraordinary to me. Also might be one of my favorites because not only was a horse kid, but a dinosaur kid as well.
All I have to say is that the next full area to be released BETTER make up for all of the time that’s gone by. Yes, the current map of Jorvik needs updating, but how much?
yeah, the amount of time it takes for them to update jorvik is pretty strange. It got even stranger to me when I made the video about the furniture, cause that's when I discovered that in 2016, we didn't only get south hoof, but jorvik city as well. That's actually TWO areas that year. One would think that they were able to make more content as time went on, so I really don't believe that updating jorvik is all they're working on. The updated areas look fantastic, but it's still very suspicious how slow they're released...

They could also just be thinking about giving us access to the castle at Golden Hills I was riding around there for the Catherine Memories and noticed that the road to the castle and the castle itself was updated. So we have either another area that could be added soon
Yes, I've noticed that too! I believe that the castle will have a bridge to the secret stone circle, because the closed gate in the secret stone circle is facing towards the castle 🤔
Idk if you did know this or not, but I’ve been glitching into locked areas lately (as you can see in my “channel” too) and Ashland has actually been updated, not much but it a lot more flat and most of the old graphics stuff has been removed, such as the spiked bushes and the big spikes poked from underground. It has some of the grass from golden hills too as well as some new graphics rock at different spots.
The area at north link I fell into it from the side closest to the baroness's racetrack and it is kinda cool I guess I mean I was happy I got there but that was scary just slipping off a cliff falling in there lol
Mystic Valley is also just a test area. There trees from mistfall - multiple jumps that have been added to the firgrove races and more. It’s all very random.
Then why is northlink called like that if it isn't even at the north of we look at the complete map? Btw u can see a tiny path of mystic valley from Fripp s place where the soul riders meet, the pink place
Once I bugged in Mystic Valley and I found a stable, some test skins or like .. ya... some just alike a race like.... uhhh I cant tell.. but it was already a worked place so I think... it might release in 2020 or 2021 cause I think SSO can make it earlier than 3 years.
Where the Kallter village and the Cape point almost meet each. Like the mystic valleys middle, but upper . I was there last halloween, I dont know, if anything changed, or maybe they worked on the starshine ranches stable .

Honestly, my biggest question is about the full map of Jorvik and why the Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur is smack dab in the center of the continent when geologically it would make more sense for it to be way up north, right?
I don't know why but I'm really curious on why SSO is pumping out horses like it's a candy shop on Easter. is to cover up if we get bored? and start wondering about the map and the new spot? But also in April 2020, right after they said no new land IN 2020, they come out with Starshine Ranch in between Mistfalls and Firegrove. Granted it's in premade land in a random space already with grass and trees. if they are making I new space in where you say, I really hope they are pouring their heart into this new land. Maybe the reason they are redesigning the whole map is because it'll match the new land?
This actually makes a lot of sense. They havent been giving us a new area for a long time now and players really get pissed already. I think they know rhey shoot themselves dead kf they dont give us something big. Also another theory I have why they take so long on this area is because they have to consider how they will expand the map from this place on to the expanded map we know from the books.
I really haven't seen many players mad about new areas..and they gave us Should Riding and our giving us StarShine Ranch along with new Quarter Horses. And there trying to focus on updating current areas before moving on to new ones. And a lot of players support it
@@meganmouradian4957 If you read a lot of comments under their instagram posts you will see it. Especially when they made it public that 2020 wont come an area either what makes it 3 years without a new area. A lot of older players have nothing to do except for training horses. I personally still like training but i can understand that a lot of people get bored. A lot of updates lacked content or only got recycled content. Soul riding, the quarter horses and the new ranch are all within 4 weeks updates. that wont make up for the last year or not getting a new area for 3 years.
But once more and more updated areas came out, people were very happy with the looks and supported Star Stable with this approach when they saw what they would do. And all that released in 4 weeks is actually impressive and nice that there releasing many big things at such a pace.

I have a theory too. I remember what Evergray said about his absence, the time, when the druids banished him. He said that he was in a really abandoned, bleak land and metaphorically he literally told us, that he was in Ashland. I think he mentioned the ash too. And yeah, he mentioned witches too, that refers to the witches cave in dino valley. Maybe he locked them in there... And also, in Ashland we can see a lonely house. I think he lived there. I really think this is true because he said that he was living far North. And he referred that place as hell-like, I think because of the volcano there. Maybe he said something about a cold, abandoned valley that surrounded him too... But I'm not sure of this one.

i have a theory (i guess? idk it’s just my thoughts) to add on to this. we know that sso released ‘smaller’ areas every year up until mistfall, and mystic valley is roughly the same size as about 2/3 mistfalls. i wouldn’t be surprised if they release mystic valley in 2021 or (very unlikely due to the work they’ve done on it in the past years) 2022. i think mystic valley will link with the story of devil’s gap since dark core’s hq is in mystic valley and devil’s gap is where garnok is supposedly locked away. it would make sense. just a thought, though.
Edit: (Just an add on) and by 2021 i mean around autumn/christmas, not in the summer or spring
Also I think Ashland will be used for some of the story quests in like 3-5 years
For me, I am confused about ashland. When you glitch into it you don't get a Closed-Off Area warning, you simply get a message on your screen that says "The road is not safe. Turn back..". It's like sso *wants* you to glitch in there. **insert thinking emoji**

I totally agree with you! I also have always found it very weird that they would pause on making the new areas just to update the rest, while the map still has holes in it. I am so excited for the new areas! And you do NOT have enough subs or views. This is such a well-made video!

6:22 Actually, I tried to glitch there with my friend and she ended up in this forest. But I accidentally fell under the ground and was stuck here for a while xD After some minutes, it threw me into a really beautiful place ( it kinda looked like mistfall, because there were similar trees ), but you couldn't get here because it was behind some mountains. I think that if we wanted to glitch in that area, they wanted us to see only the forest and not the rest ( for example the place where i was ), so they added mountains all around the forest. I don't know if it makes sense, hope you understand xD
I feel like the soulriding update is something to keep us players occupated with but also widen the story with until starstable is ready to release the new area or at least new quests that will mention it. I love the video btw! You got a new subscriber ;)
Sso recently said they were "taking a break" over the summer, and they would come back stronger and better before with better and bigger updates. Maybe this could mean Devil's Gap, and the opening of Mystic Valley in the new year?

I think this year we won’t get a new area, but in 2021 we will get Cape Point, Kallters Village and Misty valley. Because in the story they are connected( in Misty Valley we can see Alex). But this year we will only get quests, area updates, new horses, (maybe character update). So if we can wait, this will be amazing. Patience is the key!🥰🐴

They are probably working on a lot of things behind the scenes all the time, but they will probably open all of Wildwoods first and possibly Devils gap during the next Galloper Thompson quest before Mystic Valley. Mystic Valley might have been what they planned to open, but could have possibly taken longer than expected so that Wildwoods might had to come first

It's not really a new area since it will be a part of Mistfall so it is connected to Mistfall so Mistfall is getting a new part like Golden Hills.
The crazy part is the map we have in game isn't even the full map of jorvik. The actual map is huge.
Which is why I'm kind of sceptical of this whole Northern Jorvik thing that's going around. A lot of people say how it's a hint about Mystic Valley, but if Mystic Valley is Northern Jorvik, then what are the areas further up north?

When you travel to the secret druid place (can't think of what it's called off the top of my head) you end up in mystic valley ( on the map at least) you can jump off the edge where the portal is and before you teleport back up saying you have taken a dangerous fall or you have entered a restricted area you can see that the textures have been updated recently. My guess is that the area is unlocked as one of the druids quests, especially with the druids paddock being updated just recently
Im really sad ashland has been abandoned. Dino valley was one of my favorite areas. (Kinda unpopular opinion as I've recently found) but the music and atmosphere of it was extraordinary to me. Also might be one of my favorites because not only was a horse kid, but a dinosaur kid as well.
All I have to say is that the next full area to be released BETTER make up for all of the time that’s gone by. Yes, the current map of Jorvik needs updating, but how much?
yeah, the amount of time it takes for them to update jorvik is pretty strange. It got even stranger to me when I made the video about the furniture, cause that's when I discovered that in 2016, we didn't only get south hoof, but jorvik city as well. That's actually TWO areas that year. One would think that they were able to make more content as time went on, so I really don't believe that updating jorvik is all they're working on. The updated areas look fantastic, but it's still very suspicious how slow they're released...

They could also just be thinking about giving us access to the castle at Golden Hills I was riding around there for the Catherine Memories and noticed that the road to the castle and the castle itself was updated. So we have either another area that could be added soon
Yes, I've noticed that too! I believe that the castle will have a bridge to the secret stone circle, because the closed gate in the secret stone circle is facing towards the castle 🤔

Idk if you did know this or not, but I’ve been glitching into locked areas lately (as you can see in my “channel” too) and Ashland has actually been updated, not much but it a lot more flat and most of the old graphics stuff has been removed, such as the spiked bushes and the big spikes poked from underground. It has some of the grass from golden hills too as well as some new graphics rock at different spots.
The area at north link I fell into it from the side closest to the baroness's racetrack and it is kinda cool I guess I mean I was happy I got there but that was scary just slipping off a cliff falling in there lol
Mystic Valley is also just a test area. There trees from mistfall - multiple jumps that have been added to the firgrove races and more. It’s all very random.
the knew update on august 26th has a hint that says "welcome home soul rider" witch to me is a pretty big hint to a knew area in 2020

For those areas to be released, I think they have to connect some main quests to them first. That could be why its taking so long
i remember a few years ago there was a barn behind golden hills, it was around early 2016 i believe and it even had fences and stuff, i haven't heard of it since
Honestly, my biggest question is about the full map of Jorvik and why the Valley of the Hidden Dinosaur is smack dab in the center of the continent when geologically it would make more sense for it to be way up north, right?
I don't know why but I'm really curious on why SSO is pumping out horses like it's a candy shop on Easter. is to cover up if we get bored? and start wondering about the map and the new spot? But also in April 2020, right after they said no new land IN 2020, they come out with Starshine Ranch in between Mistfalls and Firegrove. Granted it's in premade land in a random space already with grass and trees. if they are making I new space in where you say, I really hope they are pouring their heart into this new land. Maybe the reason they are redesigning the whole map is because it'll match the new land?

This actually makes a lot of sense. They havent been giving us a new area for a long time now and players really get pissed already. I think they know rhey shoot themselves dead kf they dont give us something big. Also another theory I have why they take so long on this area is because they have to consider how they will expand the map from this place on to the expanded map we know from the books.
I really haven't seen many players mad about new areas..and they gave us Should Riding and our giving us StarShine Ranch along with new Quarter Horses. And there trying to focus on updating current areas before moving on to new ones. And a lot of players support it
@@meganmouradian4957 If you read a lot of comments under their instagram posts you will see it. Especially when they made it public that 2020 wont come an area either what makes it 3 years without a new area. A lot of older players have nothing to do except for training horses. I personally still like training but i can understand that a lot of people get bored. A lot of updates lacked content or only got recycled content. Soul riding, the quarter horses and the new ranch are all within 4 weeks updates. that wont make up for the last year or not getting a new area for 3 years.
But once more and more updated areas came out, people were very happy with the looks and supported Star Stable with this approach when they saw what they would do. And all that released in 4 weeks is actually impressive and nice that there releasing many big things at such a pace.
