As an ex car mechanic and ex car salesman, trust me when I say in terms of longevity, traditional torque converter automatics last longer than CVT. CVT is basically a scooter transmission in a car so guess what doesn't last very long? I'm glad the 2023 facelifted Xpander is still a torque converter automatic instead of CVT but a bit annoyed that it's still 4 speed. You pay that much money for 4 speeds when you should at least get a 5 speed or even 6 for crying out loud.

What version is this, my 2022 xpander cross (silver model) is slightly different than that one.? My info uplink works, both: apple play & Android, all features worked. I have no problem with all the features because its intuitive. All features were impressive. I dont experience what youre saying. Drive noise very low, almost inaudible. Engine power sufficient at full capacity, no problem overtaking. Hill assist works i was impressed. All around Visibility is better than my sedan (large powered mirrors helps as well). Ride is better than many SUVs ive driven. Lighting system is perfect even during in extreme darkness driving & heavy rain. Backup camera plenty bright and fairly accurate. Seating space is just right for all rows even in the driver sear-im 5-9 so plenty of room. Steering column raises n lowers and is telescopic. Steering Buttons are intuitive and easy to use. Cup holders everywhere. Extra power outlet in third row. Rear floor compartment is utilitarian with plenty of separated nooks. Rear door easy to lift and pull down. High road clearance and fairly comfy while driving. Interior climate control is so cold you can easily get ac "frostbites" while my girls bring blankets to sleep with. Push button start and keyless entry is simple to use and mirrors fold in when locking vehicle at the door handle push button (no need to use FOB anymore). Instrument panel LED display with combo analog cluster with LED info separating the analogs with full display of ecodrive system. Info screen is plenty big and all features work without trouble. Both Apple Play and Android works including watching movies or other media. GPS system is a bit lackluster but works efficiently. Audio system is plenty loud with a built in Electronic EQ to select genre for pleasurable listening experience. Unfortunately the cross i own did not include power seats (front) but the manual adjustment is smooth and easy with full bucket seats that fits larger drivers like myself. The driver seat can also be adjusted to full bucket mode for better comfort. Seats are comfortable and leather wrapped in all rows with eye pleasing color scheme. Once you understand how to drive with the eco system youll see your gas mileage almost double on highways (i recommend using the cruise control for better results). I love the styling of the interior and exterior. I love the deceptive size on the outside while the interior is impressively large. Theres plenty of headspace in all seating positions. The second row seating also reclines which is lacking in other vehicle brands (major plus for me), 2nd row center seat folds down revealing a large padded arm rest. Everyone that rode in our MUV/MPV was impressed with it overall. Theres more to say about this car and ive looked at many vehicles, this one impressed me the most. Best takeaway with this ride. Low DP, P3k and P25k monthly with easy qualify. Plus free tint (any grade). Plus fisrt 1K km and 5k km free service. I Bought mine at Angeles City Mitsubishi dealer in Pampanga (salesperson Jerick-very professional). Overall: Purchasing experience was painless. Vehicle release took only 2 days (looked at vehicle on a wednesday, drove away with new vehicle that week Friday). Best new car purchase so far. PS: I recommend buying the following: Deep Dish all weather mats all rows. A good car cover. A trailer hitch that bolts on to frame. Luggage carrier cage (low profile for easy rear door access) for the rear instead of roof carrier.

I never had to do that, i was more concerned with testing its mileage so i always used cruise control. But overtaking was sufficient since i was already use to a smaller engine.

I just owned a mitsubishi xpander cross at indonesia, the exterior wise its the same, cant help but says that the interior and everything is differrent-- especially that hand brakes, we got the electronic handbrakes instead of manual one

honda hrv isnt even talked about. the car sucks. the hrv we have here is small AF. anyone over 5 foot 8 will have a hard time getting into the front seat. honda phils should of brought in the n america hrv instead

I have one like this and I'm very happy and satisfied. It's the best 7Seater in the market. Way better than the Toyota Rush, Suzuki XL7 and Honda BRV.

You can use OD/Off if you need to overtake in highways.
