Come to think of it after experiencing with head motors on lifesizes, I don't think you really needed to completely take him apart in the first place. I think all you had to do was locate the motor on the shoulders, take it out and replace it.
On the dancing ones, you actually do have to take it apart because the only way to access the screws to remove the motor to completely flip the head mechanism over. I’ve repaired tons of lifesize Gemmy animatronics and when I had to replace the belt for my Dancing Santa’s head, I had to remove the body shell and everything so I could replace the belt.
The dancing motor started smoking and went out on my Santa. I found a replacement motor that fit perfectly but needed 12v, so I also put in a power boost to up it to 12v. It still didn't work. When I tested the output voltage from the cable (blue and green wires) on Santa, I am getting less than 1v when it peaks. What should the output voltage be on Santa's cable? Any help is appreciated.
On the neck motor you are working on underneath is a bigger motor ran by a belt that moves his arms and body mine is blown out what size motor do I ask for does your motor say what size it is I know it's a 9 volt dc but what speed do I get .

I’m looking for life size gemmy Santa motor. Does anyone know a source. Thanks
Thx, I repaired it!
How do you keep the motor in place mine is loose the one that moves the body
There’s supposed to be two mini screws that hold the motor in.
where would they be located?
@@HolidaySpirit04
@@legionfrog313 For the body motor, it slides into the slot and the slot has two mini holes which is where the screws would go.
i never saw them, i think mines broke for screws. got pics?@@HolidaySpirit04
Where did you get the motor mine just went out and I can’t find them anywhere?

Make sure you are using the correct transformer. It not only needs to be the right voltage but also enough amps....probably 1.5A or 2A
9v 1.5A
Maybe he got fried
@@MarkFisk1, thank you. You were correct, but for some reason I never replied years ago. This just happened to pop up.
@@camiloobandomartinez8392 ,we were using the wrong adapter. Two years later and he's still entertaining us and scaring toddler grandchildren. Lol
I bought one off Facebook marketplace and the head doesn’t turn do you know what’s wrong with it
It’s either the gears or the motor. Take of the head and see if see something is spinning, if so yo7 have a broken gear.
Split gear or fried motor

Your video helped me none at all. Next time you're fixing something, remember, we need to see what your talking about.
You do not need to use the vulgar language and bring the Savior Jesus into it..
