The animation and modelling are both really good. But what I found stunning was the design of the marble machines. Increasing complexeness and really fascinating systems. Loved the video
Yeah I understand, but subject 2 has a small problem when marbles reach the top of the machine for the second time, I don't know if you saw it? Anyway, you're not the only one to prefer subject 2 ;) Thanks for your comment!
yeah balls arent balanced on the 3 sides, but thats fixable, but the 3rd one is super short, not that smooth, more of a bumpy ride, but the second one, i would totally have one in my big fuckin flat on a steal table which itself stands on a dark wood floor, everything well lit, damn center of the apartment.. If i ever get a big ass flat ofc

AxelomeAnimations i thought my procedural crumble as a intro was good.... this blew my mind. i thought i was looking at a real elevator and door for a min. wish i had your skills haha. iv got the adobe programs but not cinima4d and im not all that great at using them not had them for long. you really put 1500 hours into the 4min animation? it took me 5 hours to use a template and to add in some smoke and stuff for my intro, that said it was my first time ever using the programs and i thought that was alot for 4 seconds haha. i also understood your video :) 10/10 well done!
Well, I watched your intro and it looks really nice for a 5 hours work haha ;p Actually, I needed these 1500 hours only to render the scene on Cinema4D, because of light reflections, physical render, marbles dynamic, and so on. I'm not a professional and I don't know how to optimize my render time :) I keep trying till the result convinces me :) Thanks for your support!
AxelomeAnimations Thanks man really appreciate it! you mean you had to wait 1500 HOURS just to RENDER and export the animation thats NOT including the creation of it? so you left your pc on for 1500 hours rendering 24/7? btw some of the ads on tv have the same style of 3d text logo as you so your 3d text logo is professional :) i subbed and rated it up btw man.

This is great work, well done. I was just working on something similar, more of a rollercoaster/marble machine with the camera attached to a ball (like a go pro cam, using expresso and constraint tag) Done the cam rig, just need to create the set. You have given me some inspiration, cheers.

I've also hesitate to switch to Maya Autodesk, because it's the most used animation program. But restart from scratch was tedious, so I decided to stay on the program that I like: Cinema4D. If you've much time and will, than switch to Maya. In the other case, I'm sure you can find some good tutorials on the internet to reach your goal with C4D :)
Holy cow.. you've created an amazing art in this video, no need to humble yourself ;) . Yes, I have decided I'll stick with C4D all the way. I reckon I ain't going to work primarily in 3D anyway, so C4D's ease of use will come to my advantage since it also works well with the primary program I'll use, i.e After Effects. After much reading I have come to the conclusion that the fundamental features are mostly the same across all packages (modeling, rigging, animation, shading, texturing, lighting, etc), so it's only a matter of some advanced features that I'll most likely not use anyway. That, and the ease of use & intuitive workflow of C4D (most folks say that). I'm using Digital Tutors as my primary source of learning. If you ever need an account there, just drop me a note ;)
