When I saw Resident Evil 1 in the title, I was like, Kevin is totally going to mess this up.
Then I noticed the better quality and Remastered in the title and I was like, Kevin is totally going to mess this up.
With the amount of zombies he's shooting, he's in for a very fun time later on.

The camera angles prove to be the biggest enemies on this game.
Unless you use tank controls which are infinitely better than the default
It’s not the camera. It’s the new controls they added for babies. They flip your controls with the camera changes. Tank controls don’t do that.

Tank controls are intuitive if you ask me. Takes a lil bit to get used to if your used to modern control schemes but they logical and make sense. Not alot of people even realise that re4 is tank controls as well despite the new camera

hulbruh Zombies only turn into CH if you don't burn the body within 30 to an hour of first killing them. Also blowing their heads off prevents it as well. The only 2 times you have to end up fighting a CH is when you fight the 'First Crimson Head' found in the coffin thats in the crypt with the death mask stands (7:36) and the other is in the room with the mirror (6:25) although the body that becomes a CH isn't seen due to the camera's viewpoint.
@kt No they only turn into CH if you kill them and don’t destroy their head or burn their body.
I just love that the Kevin was the first to die in a horror game, it's very realistic.

Also good luck with taking care of the zombies you killed because, unless you burn them in time then they'll rise as more powerful crimson heads. In order to burn them, you use kerosene and a lighter. You can find kerosene in green tanks near saves and a kerosene bottle.

You can also attempt to pop their heads, though that's more up to the RNG gods than anything. Headshot crits happen only occasionally with the handgun, and even with the shotgun it's only around a 60% chance (the assault shotgun is a bit better with a 70% chance). The magnum is the only weapon that explodes zombie heads with regularity, although if you're wasting magnum rounds on zombies, you should probably stop playing the game.

The problem is that you turned off the tank controls.
President of Whiteistan it definitely makes the game a lot easier surprisingly enough
Jordan Hodson it does, but you have to be used to these kind of fixed camera games to begin with. Having played with tank controls before makes having 2D controls surely faster. Kevin should play with tank controls first though, the game looks too odd without them lol
Raziel Valentine its part of what makes the game terrifying though, having to engage in those encounters with the somewhat awkward tank controls, being able to walk backwards to gain that little bit of extra distance, it all plays into the experience.
I chuckled when he brought up how the control of the character makes the game when he isnt evem using the ones they were referring to aha.

The modern controls are DEFINITELY better. Tank controls are garbage af. That was one of the things that turned me off from RE at first.

Kevin literally chose all of the noob options. Very Easy is "like taking a walk", and Chris is considered the harder character to play as because you don't have Barry to rely on, or the lockpick (meaning you bet you gotta go searchin' for those old keys).

Use the original controls. That way pressing forward always means Chris will walk forward. Alternate suck with the camera angles.
Yeah, it's kinda counterintuitive since tank controls take a while to get used to, but it's so worth it to be able to, you know, predict where you character walks.

What I learned to fear the most about old Resident Evil games, the most horrible and terrifying experience imaginable: *the controls.*
chris is the hidden hardmode, only players who played before would know this, he has less inventory, needs to find keys everywhere to go ANYWHERE, and oh yeah, unrelated, but that door you opened to try and leave, yes, it launches dogs at you, yes its a troll, no you cant leave. xD

In the beginning the shots you heard was Joseph firing his pistol as the dogs tore him apart. If you pay attention you can hear the clicks as he keeps trying to fire but runs out of ammo

This is one of my favourite games of all time and honestly seeing you stumble your way through it was painful on like a spiritual level, but also rather funny so it's okay.

When I played RE6 (where the deal with the camera is the same, if it switches but you don't let go of the button you keep moving in the proper direction even if it's not the direction youre looking at) I figured the camera out in like the first few changes...
This was like watching a train wreck.. A fun, happy, joyful train wreck.. I am now a little less dead inside
Heh, i will tell you a secret, Chris is a harder character, barry wont help you, and you doesent have lockpick.
Chris does have more health and runs faster/aims better, but overall Jill is better because she has more pocket space and gets more help from Barry than Chris gets from Rebecca. Plus Jill doesn't have to go through that tedious shotgun puzzle because Barry rescues her at the last second
