Ah thanks so much ... when I first got the chanter the notes were all working perfectly, but after a couple of weeks some of the notes weren't sounding or were sounding only intermittently .... so this was really helpful as it solved the problem....!
I found out something sort of funny about note sensor setting. Well, it’s funny now but it wasn’t at the time lol. I found that my B finger was making a slurring sound as I played C. It turned out that the B note was trying to sound before my B finger was even on the hole! I tried the note below as well and found it was the same. My plus setting for those holes were too high and I gradually reduced the plus setting until there was no note from lowering the finger until that finger was right down on the hole. It taught me something about the sensor by “happy accident” (as Bob Ross would say).
I have a request. Is there any chance that you could have a forum dedicated to the Blair chanter on your website? I don’t know how they work in terms of management so it may not be practical for you, but It would be great. I didn’t like the Blair Digital Chanter at first, but I love it now! I can’t put it down now. I found out that it sounds quite different through a speaker compared to headphones. I thought, when using headphones, that I was missing more grace-notes than I actually was. When I played the chanter through a good quality speaker, there was almost no problem grace-notes.
Thanks for your message and it's something that was suggested earlier this year at Winter Storm. I'll check it out to see what's possible to be implemented. There's quite a few pipers using the chanter in different ways, and with interesting configurations so it would be good to share the knowledge. Also like you've mentioned it does sound different in headphones compared to a good speaker.
Hi David, the sensors allow you to adjust each individually so if fingers move differently, and different heights they can be fine tuned for each one. Setting each to the maximum wouldn't provide this capability.
I got mine recently and had trouble with the settings. I was watching a video review of the chanter and just copied his sensitivity settings. Now I hardly have any problem. Here is the link to the video th-cam.com/video/eWZ3ExpzblU/w-d-xo.html Hope it helps.

Would be nice to be able to afford one
Once it is set to your liking, is that it or do you have to adjust it for each time you use it ?

Blair Digital Bagpipes
Thanks.
I want to buy one
Is there any reason why you wouldn't just max out the sensitivity? (i.e. make it -99 or whatever the minimum value is)

@@BlairDigitalBagpipes Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm receiving mine this weekend in HK! :D

There is a simpler way of doing this. You fit the chanter to a bag into which you blow air and then press on the bag to play the notes.
Is it possible to turn the drones off??
Hi Sean, yes - simply drop the volume to '0' for both Bass and Tenor Dr.
Is it possible to slide?
Not yet!
@@BlairDigitalBagpipes is it now?
