- The first debate between the two main candidates for US president reopened the discussion in the Democratic Party about the viability of President Joe Biden, who struggled to finish his thoughts more than once.
Democratic strategist Orson Porter tells host Steve Clemons that there “is no upside” for the Democrat Party. And despite the calls from within the party for Biden to step down, that scenario does not seem likely yet.
Republican strategist Janelle King said supporters of former President Donald Trump feel more assured that he will win as long as Biden is the opponent.

I think this depends on the makeup of congress and the Supreme Court. If dems had a filibuster proof majority in the senate and a majority in the house and the presidency, we might actually see things like universal Healthcare, universal pre-k, roe v wade codified into federal law, and lots of other problems solved. Unfortunately, that will never happen. People are just too lazy to vote in midterm elections. Don't say that you support the president if you're unwilling to vote for the politicians who will support him/her.

Should they dump him? Simply put, yes. He doesn't have the draw that he did in 2020. There is not only a loss in confidence with regards to his ability, but also a severe disappointment in what is perceived to be his lack of morals on the Gaza issue. If he's on the ticket, the democrats should brace themselves for the very real possibility they'd lose in 2024.

As a people, we watch and listen to garbage tv and radio, are addicted to the cell phones, use social media for our information and are uninvolved. A recipe for disaster which we are now experiencing. We have become distant to reality and out responsibility and a demanding bunch of fools.

What's constitutional about the three branches of the government consisting of individuals from only two parties when the country has more than two? What's constitutional about some states not having full voting rights in determining the next president, like the other states? What is constitutional about treating ethnic groups differently, with one having more privileges than the other?

There are several issues such as home ownership, addiction rehabilitation, that's in a documentary called Recovering America, and he speaks in length of taking on corporations and stopping corporate capture. He is a pretty successful environmental lawyer and that is his area of strength. He knows how to defeat corruption.
