Sad that the days of 1000W+ motors, continuous power, and big bins are gone... My DC54 Cinetic is still going strong after 9 years. The luxuries of never ever having to wash filters and 300AW suction can't be overstated in a house with four rabbits 🐇

I have a vax 1319 hoover with 1500w it cleans very well compared with 600w models that lack suction power.

I have a Numatic cylinder cleaner and like it very much. It is robust, spares and accessories are easily available, it's British made, it does a great job and leaves a nice finish though cat fur can be tricky.

Me too/ but mine is older (about 2008/9). I love it. It works hard and i live in rural forrest area so lots of leaves, insects, dirt dust etc .,one or two plastic bits broke ( i made a plan) and the brushes are worn down but work. Am dreading buying a new one.
I have carpet, tile and wood floors. Also does all the day night roller blinds and those awful slatted doors.
I look after it- take it apart to clean and shake cloth cylinder and container each week after vacuuming

Same too. I also have a bagged cylinder Tefal vacuum that i use as my daily vacuuming for my tile floors, i live in Singapore that have the same 3 pin socket and plug as UK, i wish i could buy an upright vacuum to deep clean my tile floors. Cylinder cannot even remove the stubborn stuck dirt on my grouts. My floors still looked dirty because of the black dirt on my grouts, if i have an upright bagged vacuum, that will be better to deep clean them. And i also have a long hair, that will trap on the cylinder vacuum's floor nozzle brushes, i have to suck the hairs of the nozzle's brushes using the hose. If i have the electric carpet and floor nozzle for the cylinder vacuum, that suits my home

Wait. I live in Singapore where i have mostly hard floors in my apartment, i find that cylinder vacuum cannot even deep clean my tile floors. Why no corded upright vacuum for Asian countries like mine. I wish i could buy an upright vacuum that can deep clean my tile floors from UK, Singapore and UK have the same 3 pin plug and socket. It is unfair that Asian countries dont have corded upright vacuum for home uses. Tell me why

i assume the main reason would be that traditionally tiled floors don't need as much vacuuming as carpeted floors. A lot of UK floors have carpets still which is better with an upright vacuum but they tend to be heavier than a cylinder vacuum. As a lot of the cylinders are easier to move around and lighter too then perhaps that is why you mainly have cylinder or cordless as options to purchase?

@@lords-electrical is really unfair that Asian countries dont have upright vacuum, i also dont find that upright is heavy to push and pull because i have learned it in school. I really dont like cordless stick because their dust canisters are too small for my large home, and the air flow and suction are quite weak. Cylinder in high power cannot even deep clean my home. My tile floors easily get dirty because my elderly parents never take good care of it and never daily vacuuming. Also, one more thing, my long hair always cannot even stop dropping. So is that possible to buy the upright vacuum from UK Amazon. Also my dad prefer a vacuum that push and pull, he really dont like cylinder because it always bump into his leg, when he pulled hard. And the cylinder's cable kept trapping under the cylinder, also the sockets high up next to light switches

@@lords-electrical i prefer that the cylinder should plug near the floor level. Not high up next to the light switches, that is why. If the sockets on the floor level like yours, will be much easier and better for my cylinder
