@@cheesable i would just play Shifting to council that can give you 4 influence for the card, and if you go for fremen aliance you could be prepared with 2 water for the 6 spice at once.
35:24 I think the difference here is that for Shifting you pay 2 spice for a bump, but it also gives you easier access to an alliance (extra important on beast!) or with Firm Grip you pay two solari for a bump, but it also is scary if Helena gets it. The reveal doesn't matter in this case. So do we play for our alliance, or to deny Helena? Either is fine I guess. I'd probably do the same and take Shifting Allegiance, since Helena isn't too scary (yet).
@@cheesable I think Shifting is specifically better in this case because you're playing Beast and have more need of an alliance than otherwise (though alliance is of course always worth it). Otherwise I'd have picked Firm Grip there because paying with solari is cheaper than paying with spice.
Funny how Kfifar tempts BenBen into taking Sietch because otherwise you 'get the 6 spice', then gets grumpy BenBen doesn't put in more points to contest your VP when BenBen is perfectly happy with the spice and the water from second place because that gives BenBen the 6 spice. Classic bullying the table into doing the work for you and getting offended when they got lines that are better for themselves.
I really dislike rhomburs table talk this game. It’s been happening more and more to me. It’s once thing to do something, another to gloat about it. To be fair to Leto, playing against artillery is hard. Playing against artillery w combat intrigues is a nightmare
I’m already not a fan of table talk manipulation, but I’ve accepted it will always be a part of games like this and I don’t fault people for it. I think the thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was the nasty way rhomburs bragged about their play and was overly confident.
@@michaelma7494 I love table talk manipulation if it is done well. There is nothing wrong imo about pointing out a play to another player that actually benefits them aswell as help you. Or to praise an opponent for excellent plays and their likelyhood to win the match because of it (so others take note and block them more). But you need to be able to put yourself in their shoes to do that well and most people don't seem to be able to. Also it helps if you're just not an asshole. I've seen some great table talk, in some high skilled matches too.
@@cheesable Hell, I'd have just conseded that point to you and been happy with my spice and water. The only way someone beats you at this point is by going all out, much better to go all out on the turn 7 combat in that case and nab yourself 2 points. If Rhombur really wants Beast to be stopped, let him do it himself. He is Rhombur for god's sake, it should be his job to fight you on combats. 😂
High council line is not available once cheese chose to not full commit troops at sietch. Basin was worth 2 troops and dagger in hand, 7 strength. If high council line was planned, he may be able to squeak the combat, but loses to any combat intrigue from leto.
The evil laugh at 42:48 hahah, a move that i think nobody would normally use bypass protocol for xD
Lol. I was so happy. Hahaha. It's like the dream
@@cheesable You sounded like a cheesy movie villain seeing his plans to rule the world come to fruition 🤣

The most satisfying type of wins! Gg!
Yes. The ones you never expect to have! My emotions... after losing the alliance
Great game to watch 🎉saved by mentat. 😅
Haha. Saved by being blocked at highliner into being blessed by the gods

Yeh. First buy firm grip is better. Shifting turned out well. I think imperial basin flag helped

Lani is watching this game and smiling and crying 😂
Hey! We all love artillery!

Amazing game! Getting Scout and Assassination Mission without trashing it the whole game. This game is the dream. 😀

Bashar tier S confirm lol.
S tier in my heart
Blue threw it…. If he goes mentat you are in deep s…. And gets him closer to winning 2 point combat….
Hindsight, cost him smf. I just play what’s open to me
@@cheesable we haters do not blame you for winning. You pretty much did not have a choice…..
I fell like you could have ended round 7 and be more agressive if you’d buy smf by going high council and play all intrigues in combat
well no, round 7 start he lost Bene alliance, so I don't see how he can end round 7 with 6 points.

I don’t see it without the bene alliance
